Paul Goldschmidt quietly passed the 65 WAR mark this season. I think he's solidified his Hall of Fame case. What cap does he go in with?

I'm biased because he's my favorite MLB player ever, since I was like 7, but he has the numbers. He's only 12 homers away from 400, he's a former MVP, 7 time all star, 4x gold glove, and 5x silver slugger. He's finished top 3 in MVP voting 4 times and has a career OPS+ of 136.

Elite hitter, elite defender.

He won his MVP with the Cards but I'd say his best years were with the Snakes. I'd assume he goes in with a blank cap.

I am leaving my father tomorrow. ive historically had mental break downs after going back home after seeing him. How should I cope?

This one could very well be even worse because my mental health has been pretty rough recently and I'm already sad about leaving my dad. I'm really worried because college is coming up later this month and going back to the mental hospital would ruin that. This could also be worse because I was expecting to stay with him longer than this. I dread going back home. How do I cope?

My all-president starting 5

PG: John F. Kennedy

He just gives scrappy white boy vibes, plus he was super smart and that might extend to basketball.

SG: Barack Obama

The only president who was actually a hooper. This one is obvious.

SF: Gerald Ford

Our most athletic President, he played football at UofM where his number is retired

PF: Teddy Roosevelt

Outdoorsman and a pretty hefty guy. Could probably compete down low.

C: Abe Lincoln

Our tallest president at 6'4, also an athlete, being a legendary wrestler.

Mental hospital hoops are underrated.

We used to play with a balled up piece of paper as the ball and a paper bag on a chair as a hoop. We did no make it take it and played with free throws. I was a fat 18 year old white kid, my first opponent was a kinda short but in shape dude from the hood. I realized quickly that he couldn't shoot so I just hacked him every play. He still won. I was feeling pretty good though because it was a close game, so I played against this tall skinny 40 year old dude who hoops at the YMCA but he had crazy explosiveness. literally felt like playing against KD. He 11-0d me. The ball knowledge in there ain't great though. Me and this girl used to debate Mj vs AI which is wild.

Chris Sale is genuinely approaching legend status. He's already a HoFer but I think if he continues on like this, he could be first ballot.

This Braves stint is one of the best super late career comebacks I remember. He was a what if before Atlanta. Now he's the second best pitcher in ball, 2.16 ERA and 4.2 war in 22 games at the age of THIRTY SEVEN. I'm a big fan of this guy even as a Yankees fan. the only two active pitchers I think rank higher than him for their careers are Verlander and Scherzer who are arguably top 10 pitchers of the liveball era.

Why is homosexuality a sin? Because The Bible says so.

We are not owed an explanation. There are explanations we can give (it goes against God's design). But we don't need to use anything except for The Bible. The divinely inspired Bible, including writings from Paul and Moses who both knew God personally. Like literally met Him and talked to Him. They knew homosexuality was a sin. I'll say it again, we are not owed an explanation. God is perfect and The Bible is infallible.

What is Hebrews 6:4-6 referring to?

Like if you sin intentionally but still have faith in Christ is that unforgivable? or is this about completely stopping having faith in Christ?

Does Luke 12:33 and 14:33 mean all Christians need to sell all of their unnecessary possessions?

Luke 12:33 Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys.

Luke 14:33 In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples.

Is this unforgivable?

I sometimes stop worrying about sinning and just do what I want. I know it's wrong but I have OCD which can make it hard to function if I'm worrying everything is a sin. Is this considered falling away as described in Hebrews 6:4? can I be forgiven? I never stop believing in God or Christ, is that what this verse is applying to?

I talked to my dad, still not sure if I should spend time with him. Please please please I am begging you to respond and help me with this. What do I do? He's coming to pick me up tomorrow. (update to previous post)

1 Corinthians 5:11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

I was worried that me spending time with my dad would go against this verse. I talked to him about it. He said he doesn't necessarily consider himself a Christian because of his disagreement with organized religion, but he does feel a personal connection to Jesus Christ. The main thing I was worried about was the *railer* part of the verse and I asked him to stop doing that and he said thank you and to call him out if he ever does that. The new concern I have is that he kinda made some points disagreeing with the Nicene Creed and some comments about how The Bible was put together, as well as some of his Buddhist and Hindu beliefs (it didn't seem like idolatry though because he said Buddhism doesn't have a God and it didn't seem like he was referring to the Hindu 'gods' and stuff, just some of the spiritualism). I'm still a bit conflicted though. I feel better than I did before but I still don't know if this means I shouldn't spend time with him. Please give your thoughts.

I don't know if my dad is any of those things specifically but he does swear a lot and might be a railer and I don't know if he claims to be Christian but I think I may have once said 'Jesus loves you' to him and he responded positively. He's coming to pick my sister and I up tomorrow and I don't know what to do. I love him so much and don't want to lose him

Would someone please explain Luke 12:33 and 14:33 for me?

Do they literally mean to get rid of all of our stuff? Should I do that?

What do you think of the song 'Let's Go Crazy' by Prince

Prince was far from a perfect human being, a lot of his songs cover sexual immorality and he had the whole androgynous thing. Plus he was a JW. But this song is so great. The chorus says "Are we gonna let de-elevator (referring to the devil) break us down? Oh no, let's go!" which is a great message of not letting the devil bring you down. What do we think?
