me pulling up to the Treaty hate convention (I'm very well known there)

mfw I see YET ANOTHER fully stacked imperial army coming my way in a 2v2:

2v2s can get so unfun omg, just the concept of endlessly barraging hundreds of units to die over and over to gain 20cm of land for 4 minutes.... who even finds ts fun? AND GOD FORBID YOU TAKE YOUR FOOT OFF THE PEDAL FOR ONE JUST ONE SECOND, bc then they'll raid ALL ur vills, siege down ALL ur factories/wonders/irreplaceable shit, and the last 2 hours will have been for naught. I can't even imagine the mental anguish treaty players experience daily.

Lost it!

I'm 18M and I lost my v card to my gf of 2 years a few days ago (she was also a virgin). We waited 2 years bc of circumstances but man was it worth it. It was something pretty new to me and like nothing I've ever done before, but just the experience of being there with the person you love, communicating and seeing what things work on one another... some people think the first time is always awkward, but while we definitely weren't experts I still found it enjoyable. The whole experience taught me that sex is a skill you need to learn and practice, kinda like playing an instrument. 10/10, would recommend.

Anyone else dislike this sub?

I know it's a bit counter intuitive to ask that question on this sub but I'm doing it anyways. Thankfully my tinnitus is not too severe and I only really notice it when I'm alone in my room, and my air dehumidifier provides enough ambience for me to forget about it entirely and sleep soundly. But I swear, everytime I've visited this subreddit it's made me so aware of my tinnitus that it's all I can focus on for a couple of hours. I'm trying to live life the best I can with this condition but I can't imagine what it must be like for more severe people reading stories abt this awful thing so often. Quitting this subreddit was the best option for my tinnitus.

If you're considering escorts, please don't

I browse this sub occassionally out of curiosity and I see talk of escorts. Seriously, please don't. If you're having sex for the first time you really need to do it with someone who knows you very well. Sex isn't something you can just easily do like drinking a glass of water when you're thirsty, and tbh you need a lot of communication AND PRACTICE to have an enjoyable sexual experience. Don't think you're gonna hire an escort and have an insane experience that is easy and enjoyable. I don't want to sound condescending but you rlly shouldn't do it with someone you don't even know because it most likely won't even work out. Not to mention you're a lot more likely to catch something, and tbh it's also harmful to the escort themselves.

who designed this fuckass unit?

seriously what a stupid fucking concept. heavy cav that counters absolutely anything, even its counters. oh, dragoons? sure, chop wood for a stable, and plop down a full batch, spending ALL ur res, but good luck doing that before these annoying mfs make a beeline straight for ur ass.

are the majority of the players of this game Turkish and that's why the devs wanted to appeal to them? it's not like ottomans are lacking elsewhere that they needed meth-injecting super curiassiers that auto-heal behind their jan boyfriends after wiping out your 40 pikes effortlessly.

hate mfs with 0 reading comprehension.

if the lobby says "1v1 random civs" THEN DON'T PICK DUTCH AND PRESS READY 🙄🙄🙄. it's not even non-English speakers bc they have no problem saying "go" if I don't start the match immediately. or in team games when ur tryna communicate just absolutely anything, even just flaring 3 hussars making a beeline for ur teammate's villagers, and they're just absolutely unresponsive.

how to prevent water from going in nose without a plug? nothing has really worked

this must get asked a lot here but tbh I still haven't found an answer that works for me. I've tried humming, didn't work. I tried blowing water out of my nose and I think that actually made it worse, not to mention I just run out of air so quick that I have to surface. What does everyone do?

is this anyone else's main comfort game?

no matter how hard my day gets I know I'll always have this game to look forward to. I love FFs, I love sending groups of pikes to deal with cav, I love blasting units away with my skirms. I love armored pistoleers and sacred band infantry. I'm not the best (only 1245 elo after 300 games) but still having a huge blast.

Can I eat raw salmon from the supermarket if I freeze it first?

The other day I REALLY undercooked my salmon but it tasted really good so I didn't bother trying to cook it again. I thought since it's the same principle sushi follows it'll be fine. Apparently though you can get parasites in the salmon. Is salmon from the supermarket ok to eat raw if I freeze it at home first and then defrost it?

Boy I sure do love team games!

I was orange, teammate was green. The kill to death ratio is INSANELY favored towards me but because my teammate decided to resign at the earliest inconvenience I lost because two civs beat one.

:/

I hate team games precisely because of this. I feel like I always deliver and my teammate always underperforms, which sucks because team games have so much potential but if your teammate is just bad there's rlly nothing you can do even if you play well

My mother is genuinely making me suffer internally

Just some background first. I'm 18M currently sitting very stressful, high-stakes exams I need to do in order to get a university course. I got chronic tinnitus last August and I'm still having trouble making peace with the fact that I'll never experience silence again for the rest of my life. I have a good social life and a gf of 2 years which I love.

I really don't want to fit into the stereotypical teenager ranting about how their parents are oh so awful but I really need to get this off of my chest. My mother is the most controlling, hateful, draining person I've ever met. At the same time, she has worked so hard and given me so much and has spent thousands of euros this year getting me grinds classes, revision textbooks and all kinds of academic support. That being said, the extent to which she's controlling is brutal and none of my friends experience anything close to what I experience.

There's a bathroom next to my bedroom (arranged in a way that you need to enter my bedroom before you can access the bathroom, but only I use it). I was taking a shit and must have been there for around 10 minutes before my mom came into my bedroom (the bathroom door was closed) and started screaming about how I could forget about calling my girlfriend tonight and about how awful I was for not studying. While I was sitting on the toilet. I just remained quiet and she left.

The past few months she's also been really nasty and saying things to me about my gf that she swears are just jokes. My gf is of filipina descent so my mother constantly makes jokes about how she's a "yellow" and a "cat-eater", and when I don't laugh she usually gets mad and calls me a faggot or a retard. Ofc I tell my girlfriend all of this and naturally she really resents my mother for this and has made it clear. A few days ago I broke down crying in my room and when my mom came in to check on me I told her it bothered me when she said things like that, and she told me she didn't have to change who she was for me. And then she said I couldn't be trusted with anything because I had told my gf my mom was making these racist "jokes" about her. And then she told me how she resented my gf for having "changed" me and how she was turning me against her.

I genuinely don't know what to do. The odd moment I do get to call my gf my mom constantly checks WhatsApp to see I don't go over the 20 minute limit she's imposed. She always needs to know where I am and what exactly I'm doing. When I'm in my bathroom she'll sometimes enter my bedroom to ask what I'm doing.

Again I don't want to sound like a sulky teen but I feel like this is warranted. I need to get this off my chest and see what the general consensus is.

sent this banger to the SEC today

shame on them really

edit: yeah there's a few typos but wtv, don't hold me to the same standards as the SEC. like surely a bunch of grown ass men and women can do better than me. oh well at least after they use AI to correct my tests I'll be well suited for a job there.

u/Luviebug19 — 27 days ago

can you send a complaint email to the SEC?

it's actually crazy how a goverment body is making such a mess of this year, how hard is it to not use shitty generative AI and confuse "3rd" for "3th"? not to sound like an absolute nerd BUT i want to send them an email expressing my dissatisfaction because their performance really has been embarrassing this year. can i get away with doing it or could it affect my results? anyone got a link to email them with.

anyone else explicitly say this diagram was wrong in their answer

this was an absolute fucking disgrace and i said in my answer that the diagram was wrong, thankfully I crammed meiosis in this morning but if I hadn't this would've thrown me.

Your STEM course looking at u when you got perfect scores in maths and physics after grueling hours of study BUT you couldn't make a smooth link back to the question while comparing Barbie and Sive:

make it make sense.

PSA for new players: You can send shipments from your Home City

Yes it sounds obvious, no im not trolling. It took me YEARS to discover shipments and XP were a whole game mechanic, imagine my shock when I clicked on my flag for the first time after hours of playing. I wish someone had told me sooner.

To any new players: if you click on your flag during a match you can select a deck. Decks can be edited in the main menu. Basically each deck is made up of a lot of cards you can send, e.g. units, resource crates, improvements, etc... and shipments are locked by age and gotten by achieving XP, which u get from doing almost anything (training units, killing enemies, building things, certain treasures, etc).
