[Help] Looking for a Safe Way to Unlock and Root My Realme Narzo 50i (RMX3235)

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping someone here can point me in the right direction with my realme Narzo 50i, model RMX3235. I would like to unlock its bootloader and root it, mainly because I want more control over the phone and possibly try a lightweight GSI ROM with a cleaner, more Pixel-like Android experience.

The device is currently running Android 11 with realme UI Go Edition. It has 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, and it uses a Unisoc/Spreadtrum chipset. I will attach a screenshot of the About phone page with the exact software and kernel information.

I have been searching for a while, but this model seems unusually difficult to work with. Most guides I find are for the regular Narzo 50 or Realme 8i, but those are completely different devices with different chipsets and partitions, so I do not want to risk flashing anything intended for them.

The main problem is that I have not found a clear, trusted bootloader-unlock method for the RMX3235. The OEM unlocking option is either unavailable or not usable, and I could not find an official realme Deep Testing tool for this phone. I am also unsure about the available fastboot functions, whether there is any working custom recovery such as TWRP or OrangeFox, and whether Magisk can be installed safely on this model.

I also looked into PixelExperience, but it does not appear to officially support the Narzo 50i RMX3235. Since this phone runs Android Go Edition, some apps are already unavailable through Google Play - for example, Google Lens shows that the device is not compatible. That is one reason I became interested in a GSI or a lightweight custom system. However, I understand that a generic system image may not work perfectly and could introduce problems with the camera, mobile network, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, audio, battery life, or other hardware functions.

If anyone has personally unlocked, rooted, or flashed a GSI on this exact device, I would really appreciate any guidance, links to reliable resources, or warnings about what not to do. I especially want to know the safest approach, what backup is needed before starting, which stock firmware I should keep ready for recovery, and whether there is any known working method for a patched boot image or vbmeta on RMX3235.

I know unlocking the bootloader can wipe the phone and may void the warranty. I am not looking for FRP bypasses, IMEI repair, paid “unlock” services, or anything unsafe. I only want a legitimate and tested path to learn and modify my own device safely.

Thanks in advance for any help

Banned from Local Guides after 10 years - no reason, no email, no warning. What can I do?

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping someone here can help me understand what happened and what I can do next.

I have been a Google Local Guide for around 10 years, and I was genuinely shocked to recently discover that I have been banned from Local Guides Connect.

The only explanation I see is:

>

The problem is that no specific violation is mentioned. I was not told which review, photo, edit, comment, or contribution supposedly violated the rules.

Even more confusingly, I never received an email or any notification informing me that my account had been restricted or explaining the reason for the ban. I discovered it completely by chance when I happened to access Local Guides Connect.

After discovering the ban, I submitted an appeal through the official appeal form and explained that I had no idea what I had supposedly done wrong. However, I have not received any response yet.

After being part of the Local Guides community for approximately 10 years, seeing the account suddenly banned without knowing what caused it is honestly very disappointing and confusing.

I understand that Google has policies and that automated systems can sometimes detect activity that may appear suspicious or violate a policy unintentionally. If I made an honest mistake at any point, I am more than willing to understand what happened and correct it.

What I would really like is simply some clarification about the reason for the ban and a fair review of my account.

Has anyone here experienced something similar? Is there anything else I should do while waiting for the appeal?

I would really appreciate any advice from people who have gone through this before.

Blogger API + Html.fromHtml: caption/CSS markup leaking into rendered post text on Android

I'm building an app that pulls posts from the Blogger API and renders the HTML content natively (post details screen) so it matches the site's fonts/sizing. It mostly works, but for images that use Blogger's built-in "caption" feature, the caption text renders glued directly onto the image with broken formatting, and phrases like "Align Center Image with Caption" leak into the body text, clearly internal Blogger markup/labels that are meant to be styled or positioned via CSS, not read as plain text.

Relevant code from my DetailsActivity:

val document = postItem?.content.let { Jsoup.parse(it.toString()) }
val element = document.body()
for (e in element.getElementsByClass("YOUTUBE-iframe-video")) {
    youtubeThumbnailImageSrc = e.attr("data-thumbnail-src")
    youTubeLink = e.attr("src")
}

content = postItem?.content

val imageGetter = PicassoImageGetter(binding.blogContent, this)
html = if (Build.VERSION.SDK_INT >= Build.VERSION_CODES.N) {
    Html.fromHtml(content, Html.FROM_HTML_MODE_LEGACY, imageGetter, null) as Spannable
} else {
    content?.parseAsHtml(HtmlCompat.FROM_HTML_MODE_LEGACY, imageGetter) as Spannable
}
binding.blogContent.text = html

My guess: Html.fromHtml/HtmlCompat (the legacy TagHandler-based renderer) has no concept of CSS at all — it can't hide elements via display:none, can't respect absolute/relative positioning, and doesn't understand div.separator / caption wrapper structures the way a real browser (or even Jsoup's DOM with a CSS engine) would. So any caption text Blogger normally overlays/positions on top of the image via CSS just gets flattened into the surrounding text stream.

For context, image loading itself works fine. I use a custom Html.ImageGetter implementation (PicassoImageGetter) that intercepts every <img src="..."> tag Html.fromHtml encounters, fetches the bitmap via Picasso, and returns a BitmapDrawable placeholder that gets embedded into the Spannable in place of the tag. It only ever receives the raw image URL — it has no visibility into surrounding tags like caption divs, alt, or title attributes, since Html.fromHtml's core parser handles everything outside the <img> tag itself as plain text in the stream, not through the ImageGetter. So this rules out the image-loading path as the source of the bug, the leak is purely in how the legacy HTML parser flattens the caption markup around the image.

Looking for:

  1. A way to pre-process the HTML (via Jsoup) to strip or reformat Blogger's caption/separator divs before passing the string to Html.fromHtml, so captions either get dropped or rendered cleanly as a separate line under the image
  2. Whether there's a known class name pattern for Blogger's caption wrapper that's safe to target generically across different Blogger themes
  3. A CSS-aware alternative to Html.fromHtml for Android (or is a WebView with injected CSS just the more reliable path here for post detail rendering specifically, even if the list/card view stays with Jsoup + TextView)

Any pointers appreciated

Account suspended from using X Chat - no reason given, can't find how to appeal

Hi all,

I logged into my X account and found this message: "This account is suspended from using X Chat" I haven't received any email or notification explaining why, and I haven't knowingly broken any rules related to DMs/Chat

When I try to use the official appeal form (help.x.com/en/forms/account-access/appeals), it tells me I'm "not currently logged into a suspended X account" , even though I am logged in and the restriction is clearly showing on my account.

Has anyone run into this exact issue? Specifically:

  1. How did you get the appeal form to actually recognize your suspended account?

  2. Any idea how long this kind of restriction typically takes to resolve?

Any help or shared experience would be appreciated.

Aura Sync, BIOS, and Armoury Crate cannot turn off my RGB lighting (TUF GAMING B760M-PLUS WIFI)

Hi folks,

I'm posting here because I've been trying to solve this issue for a long time without success. I have already contacted ASUS Technical Support multiple times, followed all of their troubleshooting steps, but unfortunately the problem still exists.

My System

  • Motherboard: ASUS TUF GAMING B760M-PLUS WIFI
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-14700K
  • GPU: ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 4060
  • RAM: TeamGroup T-Force Vulcan DDR5
  • CPU Cooler: XIGMATEK Liquid Killer X 360 ARGB
  • Operating System: Windows 11

The Problem

I recently purchased this PC as a complete build. From the very beginning, I noticed that I cannot completely turn off the RGB lighting.

The RGB lighting on the case fans and the AIO cooler always stays on, regardless of the settings I use.

BIOS

Inside the BIOS, I disabled Aura lighting completely (Aura Off).

Expected behavior:

  • All RGB lighting should turn off.

Actual behavior:

  • The RGB lighting remains on.

I have attached a BIOS screenshot showing that Aura is disabled.

Armoury Crate / Aura Sync

Inside Armoury Crate:

  • I selected Dark (Off) in Aura Effects.
  • Aura Sync is disabled.
  • I updated all drivers through Armoury Crate.
  • I even completely uninstalled Armoury Crate using the official ASUS Uninstall Tool and installed the latest version again.

Nothing changed.

The RGB lighting is still on.

I have attached screenshots from Armoury Crate showing these settings.

Case LED Button

My case also has a physical LED button.

However:

  • It cannot turn the lighting off.
  • It only cycles between different RGB effects and colors.

So neither:

  • BIOS
  • Armoury Crate
  • nor the physical LED button

can completely disable the lighting.

What I Have Already Tried

  • Updated all motherboard drivers.
  • Updated Armoury Crate.
  • Completely removed Armoury Crate with the official ASUS Uninstall Tool.
  • Installed the latest Armoury Crate version.
  • Disabled Aura Sync in BIOS.
  • Enabled Aura Sync again.
  • Set Aura Effects to Dark (Off).
  • Verified that all cables are securely connected.

None of these steps solved the problem.

ASUS Support

I contacted ASUS Support several times.

They asked me to:

  • reinstall Armoury Crate,
  • update everything,
  • send videos,
  • provide system logs,
  • provide photos,
  • provide my cooler model,
  • and answer several hardware questions.

I completed all of these requests, but the issue remains unresolved.

My Question

Has anyone experienced the same issue?

Could this be caused by:

  • the motherboard,
  • the ARGB controller inside the case,
  • the XIGMATEK cooler hub,
  • or an incorrect hardware connection?

If anyone has solved a similar problem, I would really appreciate your advice.

How do I stop people who aren't my friends from reacting to my public posts? (Personal profile)

I'm trying to find the setting on my personal Facebook profile that stops people who are not on my friends list from liking or reacting to my public posts. I can't find this option anywhere in the app or web settings. I've checked Settings > Privacy and a few other menus but no luck. I'm asking about a personal account, not a Facebook Page.

Does anyone know if Facebook currently allows restricting Likes/Reactions specifically to friends only, or disabling them entirely for non-friends on public posts? If this feature doesn't exist, is there any workaround, like changing the post audience instead?

Any help pointing me to the right settings menu would be appreciated.

AGP 9.x shows tons of "Unresolved reference" errors in the IDE/lint, but ./gradlew build compiles with zero errors - happens only in this one project

I'm hitting a strange issue that's specific to a single project. When I bump the Android Gradle Plugin from an older version to any 9.x release (tested with 9.3.0), Android Studio's editor and lint start flagging a huge number of "Unresolved reference" errors (100+ problems shown in the inspection gutter) across multiple Kotlin files - including files that use generated ViewBinding/DataBinding classes, Hilt-injected classes, and Room entities.

The odd part: the actual Gradle build succeeds with no compile errors at all. The app builds, installs, and runs fine on a device/emulator. It really looks like an IDE indexing/false-positive problem rather than a real compilation problem, but it makes the editor basically unusable (error highlighting everywhere, autocomplete acting up).

I've only ever seen this in this specific project , other projects on the same machine, same Android Studio version, updated to AGP 9.x work completely fine. So it feels tied to something in this project's module setup rather than a general AGP 9 bug.

Relevant setup (module-level build.gradle):

  • compileSdk = 37, targetSdk = 37, minSdk = 23
  • Kotlin Android plugin, kotlin-parcelize
  • KSP (not kapt) for annotation processing — Room, Hilt, and a kotlinx-metadata-jvm KSP dependency
  • Dagger Hilt (2.60.1)
  • Room (2.8.4) via KSP
  • Navigation Safe Args (Kotlin)
  • viewBinding enabled (buildFeatures { viewBinding true })
  • Google Services / Firebase Crashlytics / Analytics / Messaging plugins
  • Secrets Gradle plugin (Maps platform)
  • coreLibraryDesugaringEnabled true
  • Java/Kotlin target set to 11 (sourceCompatibility/targetCompatibility 11, jvmTarget.set(JvmTarget.JVM_11))
  • multiDexEnabled true

Top-level build.gradle:

gradle

buildscript {
    ext {
        version_gradle = '9.3.0'
    }
    dependencies {
        classpath "com.android.tools.build:gradle:$version_gradle"
        classpath 'androidx.navigation:navigation-safe-args-gradle-plugin:2.9.8'
        classpath 'com.google.dagger:hilt-android-gradle-plugin:2.60.1'
        classpath "com.google.android.libraries.mapsplatform.secrets-gradle-plugin:secrets-gradle-plugin:2.0.1"
        classpath 'com.google.gms:google-services:4.5.0'
        classpath 'com.google.firebase:firebase-crashlytics-gradle:3.0.7'
    }
}

plugins {
    id 'com.android.application' version '9.3.0' apply false
    id 'com.android.library' version '9.3.0' apply false
    id 'org.jetbrains.kotlin.android' version "2.4.10" apply false
    id 'com.google.devtools.ksp' version '2.3.2' apply false
}

tasks.register('clean', Delete) {
    delete rootProject.buildDir
}

Has anyone else run into unresolved-reference/false-positive IDE errors specifically after moving to AGP 9.x, especially in a project mixing ViewBinding + Hilt + Room + KSP + Safe Args? Would appreciate any pointers on what in this combination might be confusing the IDE's resolution/indexing even though the actual Gradle compilation is clean

My AdSense account got suspended over a partner's other sites - 3 appeals, no real answer. Anyone been through this?

Hi everyone,

Sharing my experience here and hoping someone who's been through the same thing can chime in - does an appeal actually get reviewed by a human, or is it mostly automated responses like the ones I've been getting?

The suspension reason (translated from the original email)

"During a recent review of your account, our specialists found that it doesn't comply with the following policy: Site behavior: Navigation.

Publishers may not display ads in ways that deceive users into thinking they are download links, navigation, or a list of options, in order to increase clicks or views. This includes but is not limited to: false claims about streamable content or downloads, linking to unavailable content, redirecting users to irrelevant or misleading pages, and other forms of navigation designed to intentionally mislead users, as well as pages where ads are placed in navigation-designated spots."

The email also stated that publishers suspended for invalid traffic and/or policy violations may be eligible for a final payout of the portion of earnings not found to be invalid, that payments are held for 30 days after suspension to calculate this, and that a new appeal can only be submitted every 90 days.

Context / what actually happened

I was working with someone on an ad-exchange (AdX) partnership. It turned out this person was running the sites in a way that violated policy (deceptive navigation-style ad placements). Once this came to light, I deleted all this sites, However, my main website the one I actually built and run myself was not in violation and had nothing to do with the deceptive navigation setup.

Timeline

May 27, 2025: First appeal response told the suspension is "final" and I'm not allowed to participate in AdSense again.

Aug, 26 Submitted a second appeal got the same response

Apr 10 2026: Latest response, same generic wording again.

Total: 3 appeals submitted, roughly 90 days apart each time (the minimum wait period they enforce between appeals).

What I've noticed

The responses are extremely repetitive/templated (same phrasing, same help center links), which makes me think at least the first-tier responses are automated or semi-automated, with a real human review only happening (if at all) at a later stage.

What I'd love to know from anyone who's been through this

Has anyone actually gotten their account reinstated after a policy-violation suspension?

Is there any way to reach an actual human at AdSense outside the standard appeal form?

If your suspension was caused by someone else's site/partnership rather than your own site, did explaining that clearly ever help?

▲ 6 r/Upwork

New Upwork interface is confusing - anyone know a way to get the old layout back?

Has anyone else been struggling with the new Upwork dashboard redesign? I get that platforms need to evolve, but this update feels like a step backward in terms of usability.

A few things that are bugging me:

  • The layout feels cluttered with promotional banners (consultations, Freelancer Plus, Direct Contracts) pushed above the actual job feed, so I have to scroll past ads just to see jobs.
  • Navigation feels less intuitive than before - things that used to be one click away now take longer to find.
  • The overall visual hierarchy makes it harder to focus on what actually matters: job listings and proposals.

I've been on Upwork for a while and the old interface, while not perfect, was a lot cleaner and faster to navigate.

Is there any browser extension, userscript (Tampermonkey/Greasemonkey), or tool that restores the old UI, or at least strips out some of this clutter? Would appreciate any recommendations from people who've found workarounds

My app has 0% installs from Play Store search for 3 months straight - is this normal?

Hey everyone,

I've been running a music player app for a while now and I'm stuck on something that's driving me a bit crazy.

When I search generic terms like "Music Player," "Mp3 Player," "Audio Player," or "Flac Player" - categories my app directly fits into - it just doesn't show up. I've scrolled pretty far down the results and nothing. So I checked my Play Console traffic source reports to see where my installs are actually coming from, and here's what I found:

  • May 2026: 1,907 total installs → 0 from "Google Play search" (96.5% from ads, rest "Other")
  • July 2026 (first week): 307 installs → 0 from "Google Play search" again (99% from ads)

So basically two separate months, same result: zero organic search installs. Everything is coming from my paid ad campaigns.

I opened a support ticket with Google Play about this. First reply was pretty generic (the usual "search covers titles/descriptions, can't guarantee ranking" copy-paste). I pushed back and asked specifically about the 0% search traffic, and the second reply was a bit more useful, they confirmed my app IS correctly indexed (I can find it by exact name in quotes or via pname: search), and there's no policy restriction on my account. But they said ranking for generic/competitive terms depends purely on their algorithm, things like active install history, user engagement, and app performance (crash rate, ANR).

That made me dig into my Android Vitals, and yeah, my numbers aren't great:

  • Uninstall rate is sitting around 72-78% (based on GA4 vs Play Console numbers)
  • ANR rate is 1.06% (Google recommends staying under 0.47% for "core" apps)

So my working theory now is that my search visibility issue is basically a symptom of these two problems, not a separate bug. But I wanted to sanity check this with people who've actually dealt with similar situations:

  1. Has anyone else seen literally 0% organic search installs for months while running paid campaigns? Is that a sign the app isn't ranking at all, or could it be something else entirely (like install quality from ads dragging down the algorithm's trust in the app)?
  2. For those who fixed a high uninstall rate - did you actually see search visibility improve afterward, or is that not really how it works?
  3. Any tips for diagnosing what's actually killing retention on first open? I don't have obvious crash spikes, just people opening and leaving quickly it seems.

Appreciate any insight, especially from anyone who's been through this exact "invisible in search despite being indexed" situation.

Returning to Android dev after a 2-month break — review everything from scratch (Kotlin/Java basics) or just Android-specific concepts?

Hey everyone,

I had to step away from Android development for about two months due to personal circumstances beyond my control. I'm ready to get back into it now, but I'm trying to figure out the most efficient way to re ramp.

My question: should I go back and review core language fundamentals (Kotlin/Java basics, OOP concepts, etc.), or is it more effective to jump straight into Android specific material (Jetpack, Compose, architecture patterns, recent API changes) and let the fundamentals come back naturally as I work?

To be clear, I haven't forgotten how to code, I just want to make sure I'm not wasting time relearning things I don't actually need, while also not skipping something important that might trip me up later.

If you've been through something similar, I'd really appreciate hearing how you approached getting back up to speed. Any resources, checklists, or personal strategies would be great too

Thanks in advance

Drag and drop suddenly stopped working everywhere on Windows 11

System:

  • Windows 11 Pro
  • Version 25H2
  • OS Build 26200.8875
  • Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.334.0
  • Intel Core i7-14700K
  • 16 GB RAM
  • 64-bit OS (x64-based processor)

I'm not sure what happened, but drag and drop suddenly stopped working on my Windows 11 PC about a year ago, and I've never been able to find the cause.

I can no longer drag files or folders from File Explorer into any application. This happens with Chrome, Edge, Discord, Notepad++, VS Code, and basically every other program I've tested. Windows behaves as if I'm not dragging anything at all.

The strange part is that drag and drop does work if I place the two windows side by side (split screen / snapped windows). If the windows are overlapping or one is behind the other, the drag operation is ignored.

I'm currently running Windows 11 24H2 (the problem also existed on previous Windows 11 versions). I even downgraded Windows to an older release to test it, but the issue was exactly the same.

Things I've already tried:

  • Restarted Windows Explorer.
  • Restarted the PC multiple times.
  • Verified that none of the applications are running as Administrator.
  • Tested with many different applications.
  • Downgraded to another Windows 11 version.
  • Tried various fixes suggested online.
  • Tried the Windows11DragAndDropToTaskbarFix tool from GitHub, but it didn't help.
  • Checked that there are no obvious issues with Explorer or Chrome.

There are no error messages or crash logs drag and drop simply doesn't work.

I'm attaching a short video and screenshots showing exactly what happens.

Has anyone experienced something similar? At this point I'm wondering if it's caused by Windows itself, an antivirus, a shell extension, or some other software running in the background. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Help me find these gold studded aviators David Guetta wore on his 2007 Pop Life album cover

Hey guys,

I've been looking everywhere for these sunglasses. They are gold metal aviators with gradient brown lenses and a distinctive rhinestone/studded bar across the top.

If anyone knows the brand or where I can buy them (or even a similar alternative), please let me know. Thanks!

Can anyone help ID these vintage aviators worn by David Guetta on his 2007 "Pop Life" album cover?

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to identify the exact brand and model of the sunglasses David Guetta is wearing on his Pop Life album cover from 2007 (images attached).

Key details:

  • Style: Classic Aviator / Pilot shape.
  • Lenses: Gradient brown.
  • Frame: Gold-tone metal.
  • Unique Feature: It has a distinct studded / rhinestone-encrusted brow bar (and looks like it continues onto the temples/hinges).

Since this is from around 2007, I'm guessing it might be a vintage piece from Gucci, Dior, or perhaps Carrera, but I haven't been able to find the exact model number.

Any help or leads would be highly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
