My [34M] partner [31F] didn't do anything for my birthday and I feel upset

We've been together for 3 years now and we've gone through the motions of a relationship. I always try to be proactive when we're together buying her flowers or doing gestures of gratitude like cooking for her and many other things. She can be affectionate sometimes as well thought it is a bit of a challenge because she said in her culture they're not really good with expressing words of affection or love because they usually just use actions to express that love. Only challenge so far is we do a bit of a long distance thing where she lives in a city 3-4 hours away from me so we kinda take turns every other weekend on who spends the weekend to whoever's city.

It was my birthday yesterday and I had to work that day. She booked a vacation from work for the week so she has just been staying at my place. She's a huge amusement park person so she thought about going to the amusement park today as the plan for my birthday. Before that she's used to going to amusement parks by herself. Records videos of rollercoasters and her algo is filled with a lot of them. She got home yesterday and acted like normal. I thought there would be something at all like a small gift or even a letter for happy birthday but nothing. Not even a cake. Eventually I had to organize where we were gonna have dinner. I even paid for dinner myself.

I just felt so upset. That the whole reason she just went here is for the amusement park and not for my birthday. That she just needed a place to stay for her vacation. I'm in my 30s but to me birthdays are sacred. I've seen older people burn out in life because they don't celebrate their life or are not with people who celebrate them. I think it would've been better if I celebrated by myself so I didn't have expectations from others.

How do I go forward about this?

[ACNE] Pimple patches did not work on this pimple

Woke up with this on my forehead 2 days ago. Obv did not pop to avoid scarring since I already have 2. This is different. This thing is raised and a little hard. It doesn't hurt when I touch it. It's not itchy at all. It is quite annoying. I thought it was an insect bite but it wasn't. Should I just pop it?

Edit: Popped it. Barely any pimple white stuff. More blood instead. Put a pimple patch on it after. I feel like it's gonna scar regardless

Structure in learning French?

I've been getting a good grasp of higher A1 now and I'm trying to get closer to A2. Of course the goal is to be fluent for my wife as fast as possible so I can listen and understand her better with her native language but so far I have trouble with some grammar rules and need some form of structure with my French learning.

Are there any platforms online or even books that provide this? Im trying to be focused a little bit but I need learning that has quizzes, tasks, lessons, and markers for me to signify progress. Closest thing so far is Duolingo but it's just a video game and the topics are repetitive. Please and thank you merci a tous

How much do you spend per month on commuting?

Im writing this on the way to work. I reviewed how much I spend on commutes(train, uber) is around $500 dollars. This blew my mind and made me feel like shit. It's mostly just going to and from work as well as groceries.

I keep getting convinced to get my own car but I still feel like it costs more because of just insurance alone(Im gonna be a new driver).

How much do you guys spend? How do you guys save? Will getting a care make more sense?

I feel like me being smart/trying ruins my relationships with people and pushes them away

I don't know how to turn it off. I feel like it's something I can't shake off myself. I gotta know the answer. I gotta do the right thing. I gotta be my best self.

I was in a training session today at my work and we had to do a roleplay as a final activity. They said they were blown away. None wanted to give notes. One person said: "When I saw how you speak, I don't consider myself good anymore"

I felt bad. This happened a lot in my earlier years. I was too good or tried too hard and nobody liked it. Same with every office or job.

But I can't help it. I couldn't turn it off. What do I do?

Edit. People think I'm bragging or trolling here. I'm not. I have genuine difficulty trying to make friends and socialize. I feel like a robot or even an AI that's useful(still, fuck AI) knows answers and solutions but I'm someone you wouldn't want to be friends with. I hate it. I'm here literally asking for suggestions, tips, and advice.

Affordable Oysters in Toronto

Hi everyone my partner is having a rough last few weeks and I really want to treat her for some oysters which is her favorite. I was wondering if there are good but affordable oyster places in Toronto? Some buck-a-shuck deals on weekends? Haven't really had oysters in a while because of how rough things have been.

Hoping to get some recommendations. Thank you!

What's the best haircut for my hair?

This hair is just hard to style and too all over the place. In desperate need of advice. I have thick asian hair which is good but it gets heavy and puffs out to the side. Im open to perms but not too curly but just wavy? I dont think too short of a hairstyle would fit me too.

Been working on skincare and haircare together

How do INFJ's get along with partners who are significantly different from who they are?

I'm dating someone who doesn't care as much as I do. Who doesn't appreciate art, nature, and life as much as I do. Who doesn't pursue or enjoys learning like I do. Who doesn't analyze and think as much of their thoughts and feelings as much as I do.

I don't know if these are INFJ traits because I'm not as well versed with the types(God forbid I meet another one who rejects to interact with other people who aren't the same type as they are) but Im still someone who doesn't have to be 100% in sync with a person.

Regardless of what I mentioned in the first paragraph, I still care for this person. I was just wondering how other INFJ's do it or have you all dated with only exclusively with INFJ'S or nearly INFJ'S

Trying to look for a Lobster Supper for Birthday today

Good morning everyone I was trying to look for places to have lobster supper today. I forgot that it's a holiday today and not all places are open. Wanted to go to PEI because I always heard great things about the island and the good people.

If there's any other places you would recommended that would be great too. I'm also looking into eating some good shellfish too if possible.

Thank you everyone!

I have a friend who's into MBTI and doesn't believe that I'm an INFJ because my social skills have grown significantly than who I was before and she now thinks I'm an ENFJ. I just met this person a week ago.

I used to be an incredibly shy and introverted person who hates going outside and crowds. I could never spark up a conversation now at all with anybody and I would just focus on myself and my own world. I'm exhausted whenever I talk to people or with crowds and rather be alone and recharge at home or wherever Im alone.

However 15-20 years later, I developed those inferior social skills or social functions? I kinda learned how to adapt. How to be able to socialize and expand my social battery. Like I still get drained and all but I guess my stamina is higher now? Like I'd still rather be at home right now and most of my days. I literally deal with clients on a daily basis whether phone call or in person. Managing relationships with 1 on 1 meetings. It feels surreal talking about it.

She said that I'm not an actual INFJ because I'm able to go to cafes or even concerts. My response is that I literally mentally block everything out in a way? Like if I'm in a cafe I'm like in my own bubble. If I'm in a concert, I literally just focus on the band and the music like how you go to the theatre and when the lights go down I feel like it's just me.

Am I reading this wrong? Honestly her mistaking me for an ENFJ because I'm sociable now feels quite validating that my effort in developing my social skills has been so successful. Like I'm not even mad. Idk let me know too if I'm wrong or not.

Are there examples of INFJ figures or individuals who get mistaken to be ENFJ?
