[HIRING] Marketing Coordinator / Content Marketing (Remote, $17.50-$20/hr, part-time to full-time)

REMOTE | $17.50-$20/hr | Starts at 20 hrs/week, full-time within 2-4 weeks | 5+ years experience

We're hiring a Marketing Coordinator / Content Marketing professional for a fast-growing creative operations company that supports founder-led brands, communities, and programs.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is trend-savvy, social-native, and able to turn ideas, conversations, podcasts, and founder insights into content that actually lands on Substack, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

You'll work directly with the Production Lead, Project Manager, video editors, and designers to keep the content pipeline moving from idea to publication.

This is not a social media scheduling role. We need someone who can write, spot trends, read audiences, coordinate creative production, and ship.

THE DETAILS

Pay: $17.50 to $20/hr

Hours: Starts at 20 hrs/week for a 2-week paid trial, then 30 hrs/week, with the path to full-time 40 hrs/week expected within about 2 to 4 weeks

Location: Remote, open to candidates in LATAM, Canada and Europe

Experience: 5+ years

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Create and coordinate content across Substack, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube

- Turn founder conversations, podcasts, meetings, and events into compelling content

- Write newsletters, Substack articles, social posts, captions, scripts, and thought-leadership content

- Repurpose long-form content into platform-specific formats while holding the founder's voice

- Stay deeply tuned into social trends, emerging formats, creators, and platform behavior, then translate the relevant ones into content that feels natural to the brand instead of forced

- Identify strong hooks, formats, angles, and storytelling opportunities per platform

- Build and manage content calendars, briefs, workflows, and publishing schedules

- Coordinate with designers and video editors so content ships on time

- Track performance and use the insights to improve what comes next

- Use AI tools for research, ideation, repurposing, and workflow efficiency while keeping the final output original and human

- Keep content systems and databases organized in Notion

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Genuinely immersed in the feed. You understand why certain content, creators, hooks, and formats gain traction

- Able to tell which trends are actually relevant to a brand, and adapt them authentically rather than copying what's popular

- An excellent writer with strong editorial judgment

- Comfortable writing in multiple voices and tones, not just your own

- Knows what performs on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube

- Highly organized, able to run multiple content streams and deadlines at once

- Proactive. Takes ownership without needing constant direction

- Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment

- Strong communicator, collaborative, handles feedback well

- AI-native and happy to experiment with new tools and workflows

- Discreet with sensitive founder and brand information

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

- 5+ years in content creation, marketing, editorial, or a related field

- Proven track record writing content across multiple platforms

- Strong grasp of social trends, content formats, audience behavior, and platform-native storytelling

- Strong understanding of American business culture and communication

- Experience working remotely and independently in a fast-moving environment

TOOLS

Notion, Figma, Canva, Frame.io, Substack, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and AI-powered content tools

NICE TO HAVE

- Podcast production or content coordination

- Newsletter or Substack management

- Video scripting

- Creator economy and social trend experience

- Startup or venture ecosystem experience

- AI-powered content workflows

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

In the first few weeks: you understand the founder's voice and content strategy, contribute published content, support campaigns, and help set up an organized content workflow.

Over time: you independently run a consistent content cadence, coordinate creative production, spot timely trend opportunities, and move engagement, audience growth, and content performance forward.

HIRING PROCESS

  1. Recruiter screening call. Experience, content background, communication style, fit.

  2. Account Manager async review. Internal review against the client's requirements.

  3. Creative test + English test. Short assessment of writing, content judgment, platform awareness, and voice adaptation.

  4. Client interview #1. 30 minutes with the client's Project Manager.

  5. Client interview #2. Final interview with the client's CEO.

  6. Offer / 2-week paid trial. Starts at 20 hrs/week, moving to 30 and then 40 hrs/week based on performance and client needs.

Client interviews may be recorded for internal review.

TO APPLY

DM me with your resume or profile and a couple of links to content you've written or run.

Know someone who'd be a strong fit? Send their resume or profile my way and I'll review them for the pipeline.

Jealous and petty

I'm fully NC with my mom, and my dad decided to stand by her so I'm also NC with him, though I was open to a relationship if he could take some accountability for the extreme abuse he allowed, or at the barest of minimums acknowledged it.

Anyways, lately I find myself having very catty inner thoughts whenever I see a sweet familial bond in action. I've never said it out loud, not even to my husband, but I'm constantly so bitterly jealous, it's almost starting to have a measurable effect on my quality of life.

I'll see one of those cute viral videos where the parent is waiting for an acceptance letter with their kid, or jumping and crying when they meet again for a long time, and the only thought that comes to mind is "I wish I had parents", dripping with jealousy and poison. Just last week we went out to eat with a friend and his mom, and she told us the story about how she left her husband, grabbed her purse and her kid in the span of 5 minutes in the middle of the night because he shook my friend by the collar once. Meanwhile my dad watched my mom lift me by the larynx and smash my head against the wall until I was too heavy to pick up and never said anything, not once. The day I ran away I was 24, working part time, trying to save money to leave, and my mother smashed a keyboard in two over my head. She apologized for losing control, but my dad's response was "yeah, you need to move out". Or for example I see how sweet and fun and respectful and caring my MIL is with my husband (and don't get me wrong, she's also very sweet with me, but it's not the same) and I get so bitter and envious, like seeing a rich nepo baby or someone who won the lottery: you have something amazing just because you got lucky, and I'll never have it.

Back on track, idk man, I can't even watch movies anymore, because all the time you have these filial moments that just feel like a needle to the eye, and they show up out of nowhere in every genre. Every time I see someone being a loving parent, not even particularly good at it, just being slightly less than utter dogshit, I immediately get in a nasty mood, I feel something pinch behind my nose like I'm about to cry, and it's always the same thought, same words, same tone: "I wish I had parents". Mother's day a couple months back almost had me grumbling sitting in a corner for a week.

I hate it, I hate this feeling, I hate my parents, I hate how quickly and drastically it affects me.

Excited the Tigers won!!! Big hugs from Argentina, we are rooting for you!

I don't know anything about cricket, but was following the match earlier. I was very happy the Tigers won! I'm excited to learn to support my Bengali brothers and sisters, like you have shown your support to our team.

Consider a crochet bouquet, it's my favorite thing we did in the whole wedding

If your wedding has a rustic/boho/romantic vibe, maybe you haven't thought about it, but a crochet bouquet is an amazing choice I 100% recommend.

Not only it rhymes, which we know to be extremely important, but also there'll be no surprises on the day of the wedding, it'll always look like that, you don't need to worry about the flowers being in season, and you can have them in any color you want. Extremely specific burgundy and Juniper color palette? Yo can have flowers in those exact colors. Have cats and can't bring lilies around the house on peril of death? Fake lilies kill no kitties.

We did this and I loved it, you can see mine where I randomly left it at the venue while we ate. I had another one made of real, very basic grocery store flowers (jasmine!) that I used for tossing. I was blessed my amazing MIL crochetted mine for free because she wanted to be involved in the wedding from across the country somehow, but if you don't have an insane artist who can do this for you, there are legit sites where you can order them. And many of them are cheaper than real flowers.

Did our similar hunting styles make it easier to domesticate dogs, and if so how?

This question has come to me in parts. A long time ago I learned about cheetahs, and started to wonder why we haven't domesticated them yet (turns out, genetic bottleneck, hard to breed, also, we kinda did, there are communities in Africa that hunt alongside them). It got me thinking about other species we could have domesticated the way we did dogs (I know about cats and cattle, I'm talking hunting buddy), and why did we stop there.

Then yesterday I randomly decided to learn if there are other persistence hunters in the animal kingdom, and turns out, canids! And hyenas (also half domesticated in certain areas), and komodo dragons!

I started seeing claims that our similar hunting styles probably enabled the domestication of dogs, and I wanted to know if this is accurate, and how that came about. I'd expect you'd probably be more inclined to get a hunting buddy that's good at what you're not?

Also, side note, we need a fantasy world where we domesticated komodo dragons instead, because that'd be badass. Just gotta remember to make us immune to their venom somehow!

Me pongo full modo Karen, o me calmo?

Buenas.

Never heard anyone mention the most subersive thing about Paddington 2

As we all know, Paddington 2 is the perfect movie (see Exhibit A in case of disagreement). And I've been thinking on and off for the last few months what is it that I like the most about it, and I think I finally figured out.

>!The inmates aren't innocent.!<

>!It's not once hinted or suggested. They are criminals doing time for their crimes. They weren't injustly incarcerated, they only are suggested to have had some bad circumstances that made them who they are, but their bad choices are never taken away from them.!<

>!They're still treated with love, respect and compassion. They are fully portrayed as humans with great virtues.!<

>!Yet not a single one is implied to be innocent, or even hinted at being in jail for a silly or harmless crime. Almost all of them are implied to have had a violent past, actually.!<

>!Isn't that amazing? I love that, I just realized. Paddington 2 really said "prison should be about rehabilitation" with its whole chest.!<

What did/will you do the day after the wedding?

We got a 4 star hotel for the wedding night, and then spent the next day having a series of activities and treatments at the hotel’s spa.

It was glorious. Also because we kind of eloped and got married on a weekday, the next day the hotel spa was completely empty. We had all installations just for ourselves. I’m talking about a massive indoor heated pool, jacuzzi, breakfast buffet, solarium, massage therapists, zen room, etc.

Literally all to ourselves. Enjoyed it more than the wedding!

Also, is there a term for “the day after the wedding?”

Got fist bumped by the cashier at the supermarket today for my excellent choice of husband

Hilarious short interaction I had today. Hubby and I went to the supermarket, and there was supposed to be a 70% off product if you buy 2 that wasn’t getting the discount at the self checkout, so we’re sent to the regular manned checkout.

The cashier, an obviously gay man (hey I’m allowed to say it, I’m visibly queer too), has to calculate it by hand. He tries twice with his phone calculator and says to me “does this look right to you? I think it’s right” And I turn to my husband who’s bagging the items and say “babe can you check this, since you’re the numbers one?”

My perfect husband, who’s a big ripped Viking looking metalhead with long hair, green eyes and a big beard glances at the price of the article and calculates it perfectly in his head instantly.

The cashier grins and kind of flirty goes “omg that’s so impressive! Are you like a maths guy?”

My husband’s face instantly burns red and he just mumbles “engineer”.

The cashier goes “that’s so awesome……” and kinda then glances my way. We both lock eyes and slowly smile and both at the same time start doing a slow, VERY knowing nod. Then he goes “guurrrlll, good on you” AND FIST BUMPS ME HAHAHAHAHAHA

My husband nearly burns to cinders on the spot. He’s THE shyest person in the world, he nearly had to run away HAHAHA

Peer reviewed catch of a husband.

When did you stop hoping for a miracle?

I can't get rid of the hope that one day she'll wake up and see the error of her ways, that she'll call crying, begging for forgiveness, that she'll understand, that I'll be made whole, vindicated, finally seen and heard and believed.

"You keep waiting on the miracle", my therapist told me.

How do you stop that? I understand she can't face what she did to me without it completely shattering her world, so she chooses to pretend I'm crazy. I understand she doesn't want to get help, that she comes from a completely fucked home, that she truly did try her best but her brain was mush from the start.

How do I stop hoping every single day today she will fix this? I've been NC for 2 years and LC for 8, moved across the country. I always knew it'd end up like this, even told her specifically that if she wanted to restart contact and be invited to my wedding she had to start therapy, and she chose not to. Then my family adopted the narrative that I just straight up didn't invite her, conveniently forgot I gave her an extremely benevolent and reasonable choice.

I'm so angry every time I think about her, so fucking sad. I want to stop caring, I want to just be ok with it like I'm ok with not winning the lottery.

Case/sleeve/cover for these crates?

English isn't my first language, and I don't have any sewing vocab, so apologies in advance.

We bought these crates to organize our clothes in a rental closet that has no drawers, just giant long shelf, 1/3 of which is behind a wall (I know it sounds nonsensical, but that's exactly the situation, this apartment is chaos).

I don't have a sewing machine, but I've got fabric glue, can hand saw, and I'm patient. I want to create some kind of simple cover so I don't have to look a these ugly crates. Can someone help me figure out a way to hide them?

Nexo no me sirve, me da menos interés.

🚨 BÚSQUEDA URGENTE, EVALUACIÓN TÉCNICA PAGA ($25 usd) – Video Editor + AI Video Editor | Full Time | Remoto | USD 1.500–2.000/mes | SE CIERRA EN 24 HORAS

Requisitos

3+ años de experiencia editando video.

Inglés B2/C1 (no hace falta certificación).

  • TikTok
  • Instagram Reels
  • YouTube Shorts
  • Paid Ads
  • Videos estilo UGC

✅ Manejo avanzado de:

  • Adobe Premiere Pro y/o CapCut
  • After Effects (muy deseable)
