Looking for a Shared Ride (Girls Only) | Dubai South to Academic City

Hi everyone!

I am a female student and will be starting at Amity University in Academic City this September.

I am looking for a shared ride with girls only from Dubai South to Academic City. If you are a student who already travels on this route, I'd be happy to share the ride and split the transportation costs.

If you're interested or know someone who might be, please send me a message.

Thank you!

Y'all, I need the tea on Amity University Dubai.

Hey everyone! I just joined Amity University Dubai, and I've been seeing people say the vibe there is kinda weird 😭 Is that actually true, or are people just exaggerating?

And before anyone says, "Just go to another uni," I've already taken admission into the 5-year Law program. Most other universities here don't offer a 5-year law degree, and I also need a degree that's recognized by the Indian government, so switching isn't really an option.

Starting a 5-year law degree at 21: How do you deal with the overwhelming guilt?

Hi everyone,

I recently enrolled in a 5-year BBA LLB program here in the UAE. Since I am 21 now, I will be 26 by the time I graduate and officially enter the corporate law field.

Lately, I have been struggling with severe anxiety and overthinking because I know I won't be earning a real salary for the next five years. During my studies, my income will likely be limited to whatever I can make from paid (or even unpaid) internships. I am incredibly blessed to have loving, supportive parents; my dad has assured me that he can easily afford my tuition, and they never make me feel like a burden.

However, as the eldest daughter, the guilt is overwhelming. I desperately want to start contributing and helping my family right now, especially since I have a younger brother who is still in school. What amplifies my anxiety is the fact that my family does not own a home—neither here in the UAE nor back in our home country. This creates a massive internal pressure telling me I should be working a full-time job and contributing immediately instead of committing to another five years of studying.

Has anyone else started a lengthy degree in their twenties and experienced this heavy guilt? How do you manage the financial anxiety when you know your parents support you, but you still feel like you aren't doing enough?

I would deeply appreciate any advice or shared experiences.

Starting a 5 year law degree at 21 and feeling immense guilt for not earning

Hi everyone

I just took admission for a 5 year BBA LLB program here in the UAE. I am 21 right now and I will graduate and enter the corporate law field when I am 26.

I am dealing with a lot of overthinking and anxiety right now because I will not be earning a proper salary for the next 5 years. During my studies I will mostly just be doing paid or unpaid internships. My parents are incredibly supportive and loving. My father told me he can easily afford it and they never make me feel like a burden.

But I am the eldest daughter and I feel so incredibly bad about it. I want to do a lot of things for my family and start helping out. I also have a younger brother who is still in school. What really adds to my anxiety is that we do not own a house here in the UAE or back in our home country. I just feel this massive pressure that I should be working a full time job and contributing right now instead of studying for 5 more years.

Has anyone else started a long degree in their twenties and dealt with this kind of guilt? How do you cope with the financial anxiety when your parents are supportive but you still feel like you should be doing more? Any advice would be really appreciated.

Anyone joining the 5 year BBA LLB program at Amity University Dubai this September

Hey everyone

I just secured my admission for the 5 year integrated BBA LLB program at the Amity Dubai campus for the upcoming fall semester.

I am really looking forward to starting but I know law school is going to be a big journey. I would love to meet some fellow freshers who are in the same course this year so we can say hi and help each other out before orientation begins.

If you are joining the law department or BBA LLB at Amity this term, leave a comment below!

Anyone joining the 5 year BBA LLB program at Amity University Dubai this September?

Hey everyone

I just officially locked in my admission for the 5 year integrated BBA LLB program at the Amity Dubai campus starting this September batch.

I am super excited to start this journey but since law school is a massive commitment I wanted to connect with other freshers who are joining the same course this year. It would be great to get to know some classmates, share notes, or even make a group chat before orientation starts so we don't walk in knowing absolutely nobody on day one.

If you are joining the BBA LLB program or even any other law course at Amity this September hit me up or drop a comment below. Let us connect

Is LLB after BCA in India worth it at 21? Need honest advice

Hey everyone,

I need honest guidance because I’m really confused about my career path right now.

I’m currently finishing my BCA degree (will graduate in August). I did it mainly for the degree, not because I was fully sure about my career direction.

Now I’m seriously considering switching to law and doing LLB. I am originally from India, but I am currently living in the UAE.

My long term goal is either corporate law or becoming a practicing lawyer, but I’m still exploring what makes the most sense.

I have a lot of doubts and I would really appreciate honest advice from people who understand the field or are already in law.

My questions:

Is it too late to start LLB at 21 after BCA?

Do law firms actually hire fresh LLB graduates or juniors easily in India or abroad?

What is the real job market like for law graduates in India compared to UAE or Saudi Arabia?

Since I am living in UAE, would it make more sense to study law in India because it is cheaper, or try to study in UAE for better exposure?

If I study LLB in India, will I still be able to work in UAE later or is it very difficult to switch countries in law?

Is corporate law actually as good and high paying as people say, or is it very competitive and saturated?

What are realistic starting salaries and career growth for fresh law graduates?

Is starting law after a non law degree like BCA a disadvantage in this field?

I feel stuck between choosing something practical and something I might actually enjoy long term.

I don’t want sugarcoated answers. Please be honest even if it is harsh, I would rather know the reality now.

Thanks in advance.

Is doing LLB after BCA at 21 worth it while living in UAE?

Hey,

I’m currently finishing my BCA degree (will graduate in August). I’m 21 and living in UAE, originally from India.

I’m thinking about switching to law and doing LLB after this.

I want to know a few honest things:

Is 21 too late to start LLB after BCA?

Do law graduates actually get jobs easily as freshers, especially in UAE or India?

Is corporate law a good career or is it very competitive?

If I study LLB in India (because it’s cheaper), can I still work in UAE or is that difficult?

Is it even worth switching to law from a tech degree like BCA?

I just feel confused about what direction to take next, so I wanted real advice from people here.

Thanks.
