Izzie and Denny are driving me to ff-wd through all of their scenes..

I've only watched 2 episodes of Izzie hallucinating that she's having sex with Denny and I'm done with them. I really hope that this doesn't become a season long regular thing because I keep fast forwarding through every scene with them. Don't get me wrong-I love Jeffrey Dean Morgan but it's just too much. I hope they wrap it up soon.

Setting up classrooms & building access...

I think it's bullshit that not only do we not get paid to come in and set up our classrooms before school begins, we don't even have access to our rooms until 1 week before students come back.

We can only get in there between 8am and 2pm. That's only for 3 days then our 8-3pm PD's begin for another 3 days and only 1 of those days is at our own school.

For those of you who "don't do anything extra" on your OWN time, how do you get your room together? This is my 24th year and I still haven't figured it out. These pictures are of my classroom when I walked in for the 1st time this summer. I resent the fact that I'm doing this on MY time and that I'm spending MY money on things to make it look nice (I know that it's MY.CHOICE to spend my own money but it still sucks).

How does YOUR district handle building access?

**Edited to add- Summer school took place in our building, which is why we didn't have access to it earlier. Apparently the maintainers had about 10 days to wax all of the floors.

The timeline jumps...

I absolutely despise the jumping forward and backward in time. It makes the scenes really confusing and takes the viewer (at least THIS viewer) out of it.

**Edited to add -I'm never on my PHONE when I'm watching this show. And I'm not completely CLUELESS either. But when it takes me a minute to figure out if it's before or after she was kidnapped it takes me out of the flow of the show.🙄

Hahn...not a fan--at all.

I'm on season 5 episode 6 and I really don't like Erica Hahn. She's abrasive and rude and just miserable. I keep waiting for her to get nicer but it's not happening...does it EVER happen?

Am I overreacting??

Tell me that I'm being stupid and to snap out of it. I'm furious right now. I'm 50 yrs old and have tanned most of my life (indoor and outdoor). I'm aware that I have a bit of a self esteem issue tied to my tan. To me -tan makes me feel pretty...

My husband and 2 sons (13 and 21) keep telling me how dangerous and bad indoor tanning is and made me promise to stop (I've gone a few times this summer because we went on vacation and I wanted to be tan for it-they were aware of this).

Here's the issue -It's the end of the summer (I live in New England) and I'm going back to work soon-I'm a teacher-and my color is fading. I wanted to just tan a few times at the gym. My husband threw a fit and told me "you promised us". I'm so annoyed because it's a ridiculous promise to have to make. I should be able to take a few times if I want to. As I'm typing this I'm realizing that this is actually quite juvenile but I'm STILL SO PISSED.

Storms overnight....anyone in the Waterbury area...

There was a clap of thunder overnight that was the absolute loudest I've ever heard in my life (and I'm 50 yrs old)! It shook our house and also woke up my husband and both sons. It scared the hell out of all of us...

Parlor Games counterfeit website got me...this is for the ladies...

I've ordered from Parlor Games before and love the Silky Peach Cream. I ordered it again 2 weeks ago and have come to discover that I ordered from a counterfeit site. It was taking a long time to get shipped so I reached out to the owners only to be told that they had no orders matching my info and that I had ordered from a fake site. The crazy thing is that they actually sent me something and it's coming tomorrow. Has anyone been scammed like this before?

Need help looking at the "bright side"...not sure there is one...

I’ve been teaching for over 20 years, and I’ve been at my current school for 10 of those years. For the first four years, I taught with a grade-level partner whom I had previously worked with at another school for six years. We both transferred to my current school, one year apart, and working together was a great experience.

Unfortunately, she left the district six years ago, and ever since then, it has been a constant struggle. Because there are only two teachers at each grade level in my school, having a reliable partner is especially important.

After she left, we had different substitute teachers for an entire year before a permanent teacher was finally hired. That teacher was absent more than they were present and stayed for about two years before leaving. We then went through almost another full year of rotating substitutes before someone new was hired.

That teacher remained until the end of last school year, when my principal decided to move them to a different grade level, largely because of the same issue—chronic absences. The teacher who was involuntarily transferred into my grade level has now resigned, and once again, I find myself without a grade-level partner.

I am honestly exhausted from having to work alone. Even with the last two teachers who were technically my “partners,” I was essentially working by myself because they were rarely present and could not be counted on. It’s incredibly frustrating and lonely to continually be put in this position. I’m tired of constantly having to carry the workload and responsibilities of a two-person team by myself.

Is there a bright side to this or am I perpetually screwed....?

Nail help

I used to bite my nails and have finally gotten myself to stop. My nails are the longest they have been in a while, but when they get to this length they split/break. I was using the Dashing Diva semi cured gel strips that need an led light to harden over my own because it gives my nails structure and keeps them from breaking. But I can't deal with them after a while. When I run my fingers through my hair or wash it, my hair gets caught in them.

Is there a product I can use to put on my nails to keep them hard? I don't mean a top strengthening coat, I mean something that I can put on them and cure with an led light for extra structure (something that isn't a nail)? Does this make sense???

Parents of teens

How can I talk to my husband and make him see that our 14 year old son's moods and attitudes should not ruin HIS (my husband's) entire day? Example-tonight my 14 year old had an attitude with some wise ass remarks (no cussing) and my husband got so pissed that he left the room and stayed in the bedroom for the rest of the night. He said " he just ruined the whole night". This is a common phrase from my husband. Whenever our son has an attitude or says something wise ass-my husband gets super annoyed and allows it to ruin his day.

I've tried to explain that our son doesn't think reasonably like we (adults) do but he doesn't buy into that. I'm a teacher of over 20 years and I teach 10-13 year olds so I KNOW what I'm talking about when I say that kids are LIKE THIS. But he always insists that I don't know what I'm talking about and it's just an excuse for his (our son's) shitty attitude. How can I get it through his THICK and STUBBORN skull that he has to shrug it off...?

Edited to add- my husband grew up without a dad. His dad passed away when my husband was 7 months old.

How common is it for men not to talk about their sex lives AT ALL with their guy friends?

Husband (55) and I (50/f) have been together 30 years and never once in that entire time has he ever discussed anything sexual about himself/me with any of his guy friends. He's very very private. I'm happy about this but -I'm just wondering how common it is...it seems like most men talk a hell of a lot (way more than necessary) about their sexcapades...

What would YOU want in your notebook?

My husband works from home so he actually rolls out of bed and goes downstairs to his makeshift "office". He has a notebook on his desk and sometimes I will leave little notes in there to surprise him in the morning. Our sex life has recently picked up (after 30 years). I'd like to leave him something that will "get him going" if you know what I mean. What kinds of things would you like your wife to write/leave in your notebook? I'm not opposed to leaving a naughty picture of me but since I don't have a polaroid I'd have to print in out on my printer and that would be sucky... The point of this is to be playful and let him know how much I love him and still want him after so many years....

Long lost scents

What VS scents would you give almost anything to get back? For me it's this Honeysuckle spray from the 90's. No other brand can compare. Also the ORIGINAL formulation of Rapture-(again from the late 90's/early 2000's.)

Shows that have similar "vibe" as WB...

Widow's Bay has quickly become one of my all-time favorite shows. My other favorite is Evil, and I think they have a lot in common. Both do an amazing job of blending horror, suspense, and comedy in a way that's entertaining and keeps you hooked.

I've never watched Twin Peaks but I've heard that it's another similar show to WB. I encourage anyone who hasn't watched Evil to give it a shot. It's 4 seasons and amazing. It's on Paramount Plus and Netflix carried the 1st couple seasons for a while as well.

What are some other shows you'd recommend as similar?

DHEA supplement recommendations

Love this sub because this is where I learned about DHEA and it's positive effects on libido/vag.dryness. I'm currently using a vaginal estrogen cream but it's not doing enough. There are countless DHEA supplements out there and it's overwhelming. I'm not looking to break the bank. I just want some recommendations on what specific brands have been helpful for YOU. I'm just looking to order one off of Amazon. (Tia)

Worst Neighbor Ever episode #4 The Executor

(I posted the wrong episode # earlier and I had to delete the post to change the title-(sorry 🤷)

Omg I've seen some crazy documentaries but episode #4 blew my mind. The stuff that the woman did in that case were just so beyond sick and depraved.

The scariest part is that she looked so normal. She looked beautiful in the pictures they kept showing of her. There are sickos like her walking around everywhere and you'd never know it..

Little House on the Prairie

I haven't seen any posts about it since the season was released today. The original from 1974 was such a huge part of my childhood. I literally grew up with it and spent years enjoying all the reruns. I started episode 1 this morning, and the cinematography is beautiful. The actors have great chemistry, and it looks incredibly promising. I can't wait to finish the rest of the season!

(*Edited for spelling)

** 🥺Edit #2

So, I clearly had high hopes for this after the first episode, but I've now watched the second and half of the third, and I'm tapping out. It's just not hitting the same as the original. I know it's not supposed to be an exact copy and that it's more faithful to the books, but the acting hasn't lived up to my first impression, and it's become a little too overly sappy for my taste. I'm happy for those who love it, it's just not my thing.
