I’m 13 months postpartum pregnant again and scared [on]

I’m 13 months postpartum, and after 7 years of trying and needing IUI to conceive my first baby, it looks like I might be pregnant again. confirmed home test this morning. m 33

We’ve only had sex twice in the past three months. and wow

I’m honestly terrified right now. I’m still in the process of finding a job again, with no family support here, and I’m already taking medication for postpartum depression.

I’ve also been smoking a lot lately because I’ve been so stressed. now we r worried my smoking and alchohol might have affected the embryo. and baby may not be healthy.

m 2 weeks in and my husband and I are scared and thinking of ending the pregnancy
m getting panic attacks already abt the whole post partum phase because I had a third degree tear.

I keep thinking about the future and wondering how I’m going to manage two babies so close together. I feel like I made a huge mistake, and I’m scared I’m going to be miserable. I was already struggling, and this was the last thing I expected.

Moms who have been through something similar — does it get better? Did you survive those first few months? What helped you practically and emotionally?

And if you were in my situation, would you consider going back home to be with your parents for some support?

do you have problems conceiving again if u terminate now.

I’m not looking for judgment please
genuinely scared

Silicon corner caps for snap/barette clips for a toddler

Anyone know where I can find these? 🥹
I’m looking for silicone end caps/corner guards for toddler snap hair clips, like the ones in the reference photo. I want something soft and rounded that can cover the metal edges of a snap clip.

i find fancy cloud expensive for only 10 clips

I’ve tried searching AliExpress, SHEIN, Amazon, etc., but I can’t seem to find the exact little silicone caps.
Any leads on where I can buy these? 🙏

Looking for a stand mixer recommendation under ₹10k to gift my mom (its a surprise)

Hi everyone! I’m looking to gift my mom a stand mixer. She’s a new baker, so it’ll mainly be used for cakes, cookies, buttercream and occasionally bread/dough. My budget is under ₹10,000. I’m looking for something reliable and easy to use, not just a machine with good Amazon ratings—real long-term user experience would be really helpful. Any recommendations or models I should avoid?

Also if there any recommendation for courses or tools i can gift her?
she is 55 and this keeps her busy 🙂

Looking for a portable touchscreen monitor under $200 CAD (Amazon.ca) — MacBook user, want wireless + battery

Hey all — been going down a rabbit hole trying to find the right portable monitor and could use some real-world recommendations. My setup: MacBook, budget is under $200 CAD, buying from Amazon Canada.

What I’m looking for, ranked by priority:
**Touchscreen** — doesn’t need to be full multi-touch, single-finger tap/scroll is totally fine
**• Built-in battery** — so I’m not tethered to a power outlet, want to actually carry it around the house
**• Wireless connectivity** — ideally able to cast/mirror from my MacBook without a cable (AirPlay, Miracast, whatever works)
**• Works with MacBook** — happy if it also doubles as a display for a tablet, but MacBook compatibility is the priority

I know Mac doesn’t officially support external touchscreens the way Windows does, so I’m not expecting a full iPad-like experience — just want something that lets me tap, scroll, and browse comfortably when I mirror my screen to it.

Has anyone actually used one of these day-to-day? Trying to avoid the generic AliExpress-reskinned units that overpromise on the “wireless + touch” combo — if you’ve got a model that’s actually delivered on this, or a hard pass to save me the money, I’d really appreciate it.

MOVA M10 Wet & Dry Vacuum – quick honest review

MOVA M10 Wet & Dry Vacuum Review
Not sponsored — I purchased this myself from Costco Canada.

I have a toddler and a cat, so my floors are constantly dealing with everything from food crumbs and spills to a surprising amount of cat hair 😂

I originally bought a Tineco, but I didn’t end up loving it because the roller stayed wet and started to smell after just one use. That was a dealbreaker for me, as I really didn’t want a damp, smelly roller sitting around.
The MOVA M10 has been a much better fit for my routine.
I will update this post with more pictures soon

What I really like:
Hot-air roller drying: This is my favourite feature. After self-cleaning, it uses hot air to dry the roller instead of leaving it wet.
Strong suction: It picks up cat hair really well. I was honestly impressed with how easily it handles both hair and everyday debris.
Great for toddler messes: Crumbs, food, water, and sticky spills are so much easier to clean up.
Vacuum + mop in one: I don’t need to vacuum first and then mop separately.
Self-cleaning function: Makes post-cleanup maintenance much less of a hassle.
Convenient for daily use: I find myself reaching for it often because it’s quick and easy.
It’s not completely maintenance-free — you still need to empty the dirty water tank and clean the machine regularly.

But for anyone with kids or pets, the combination of strong suction, wet cleaning, and especially the hot-air roller drying really makes a difference.
Hope this helps anyone who’s also trying to keep up with kids + pets and constantly messy floors! 😅

Is anyone traveling from Canada to Cancún today or tomorrow? need medication for my baby [on]

Hi everyone,
Is anyone traveling from Canada to Cancún today or tomorrow?
Our baby is under 1 year old and has a bad cold. Unfortunately, during airport security we lost the pouch that had all of his nasal care supplies, including HydraSense saline drops/spray and our nasal aspirator (suction).
If anyone is coming from Canada and would be willing to bring these items, we would be incredibly grateful. We are staying at Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach Cancún and can meet you at the hotel or another convenient location. Of course, I’ll reimburse the cost of the items.
Please send me a DM if you can help. Thank you so much!

1st birthday cake where to buy in hotel zone

Hi everyone! We’re celebrating my baby girl’s first birthday while staying in the Hotel Zone in Cancun. I’m planning to order a birthday cake locally.
Any recommendations for bakeries or hotels that make good custom cakes? Also, any tips or things I should watch out for when ordering (delivery, payment, timing, etc.)?
Thanks in advance!

how to travel without checkin bag with a month old ? [On]

I made a mistake by not reading it's a code share flight and we cannot pre-purchase any baggage and if you have to buy for the airport, it's hundred dollars one way

We’re flying to Mexico with Air Transat and our fare doesn’t include a carry-on or checked bag for baby(only diaper bag) We’ll only have personal items and our carry ons and are travelling with an infant.🥲🥲

Any tips for fitting baby essentials into such a small space? Also, what baby items can easily be bought in the Hotel Zone instead of packing them from Canada? Things like diapers, wipes, baby snacks, formula, etc.

Thanks!

booked a last-minute stay at Blue Mountain Village and heading there with my 11-month-old. Tips? [On]

Hey everyone, booked a last-minute stay at Blue Mountain Village and heading there with my 11-month-old.

Bringing a mini instant pot to make some simple meals, but I’d love any practical tips for lunch/dinner while we’re there—what worked for your little ones?

Also any baby-friendly food spots in the village or easy grocery options nearby would be really helpful. And if there are any must-do’s or things to avoid with a baby around that ag

Good straw cups for milk and smoothies? Free flow[on]

Hey everyone, my 11-month-old baby's doctor has advised us to switch from bottle teats to straw or sippy cups. I've tried the Munchkin cups, but the X valve makes it super hard to suck - I even tried it myself and couldn't get a single drop out lol, poor baby!
Can anyone recommend free-flow straw cups that can hold milk and water?
Like thick straw easy flow (slit valve)

Vacation on baby's first birthday? [on]

Thinking of taking our baby on her first birthday trip this summer and trying to decide what kind of vacation makes the most sense with a little one 😅

We’re debating between an all-inclusive resort vs a more city-style vacation. Main goal is honestly to relax a bit while still making some nice memories as a family.

I know summer isn’t considered the best season for the Caribbean because of heat/rain/hurricane season, but the convenience of an all-inclusive with a baby sounds really tempting.

For parents who’ve travelled with babies around 1 year old:
- Did you prefer all-inclusives or regular hotels/city trips?
- Which destinations felt easiest with a baby?
- Any places that were surprisingly stressful?
- Was the Caribbean still worth it in summer?
- Any resorts/destinations you’d especially recommend for a first family trip?
Thinking of taking Costco packages

Would love honest advice before we book something 🙏

I’m honestly fed up at this point. My dishwasher keeps leaving food particles on dishes even after I’ve cleaned it multiple times. Using afresh tablets

MODEL NO:
MODEL / MODÈLE : LDS5040WW
D1435WB.ABWEECI

I checked the bottom area (attached pic), but I can’t clearly figure out where the filter is or how to remove it. I’ve tried wiping around and cleaning what I can see, but it’s still not fixing the issue. CAN SOMEONE ANNOTATE FOR ME FOR FILTER PLS

Has anyone dealt with this before?
Where exactly is the filter in this type of dishwasher and how do I take it out properly?

Any help would be really appreciated 🙏

Hi everyone,

I’m a new mom to a 10-month-old and currently working as a graphic designer in Canada, with experience collaborating with major brands. My husband is a Chartered Accountant from India and is currently working in real estate credit lending.

We are Canadian citizens and considering a move to Dubai. At this stage, schools are not a concern since our baby is still very young. We’re mainly trying to understand the practical side of relocating with an infant.

For those who have made a similar move:
MOST IMP QUES- Are schools reimbursed by your employer? if yes what positions?
- Was it worth relocating with a young baby, especially to avoid the Canadian winters?
- Did you secure a job before moving, or did you move first and then search?
- Would you recommend that one partner (my husband) move first and settle in before the family joins?
- Is work culture v toxic ?
-

We are also thinking about whether it makes sense to sell everything here before moving or take a more gradual approach.

Any insights, experiences, or advice would be really helpful. Thank you!
