Repurposed my old Garmin Milanese mesh band for the Helio puck. I think it gives it a much more premium look.

I had an old Garmin stainless steel Milanese mesh bracelet sitting in a drawer, so I adapted it to my Helio puck. It’s comfortable, secure so far, and I like that it looks more like a piece of jewelry than a fitness tracker.

Label up wearing

Anyone else wear their Helio label up? I think it looks much cooler.

G Style :)

I keep coming back to this record. The OG version has serious bass impact.

RT83 has clearly won. So why do I still own an LP120 and a Pro-Ject?

I seem to have accidentally become a turntable collector... 😅

Current lineup:

  • Fluance RT83 (main deck)
  • Audio-Technica LP120
  • Pro-Ject Debut III

The funny thing is I only really use the Fluance these days. The LP120 and Pro-Ject are both sitting idle, but every time I think about selling one, I find a reason to keep it.

The Fluance is paired with a Cambridge Alva Duo, iFi ZEN CAN, HD560S and Edifier S1000DBs, and I'm genuinely enjoying records more than ever.

Part of me thinks I should be sensible, sell at least one of the spare decks, and put the money towards an Ortofon 2M Blue stylus upgrade for the RT83.

So vinyl hive mind:

Which would you keep and which would you sell?

  • Keep RT83 + LP120, sell Pro-Ject?
  • Keep RT83 + Pro-Ject, sell LP120?
  • Sell both and fully commit to the Fluance?

Interested to hear what others would do in my position.

Cambridge paired with Zen

I’m really enjoying this combo of Cambridge into Zen. The XBass and 3D buttons together on the Zen are really making some of my classic hip hop albums pop a lot more through my headphones.
