Hi everyone I have a question and need some help

For contact I was recently given a diamond disc Edison record of one of my favorite songs now I do want to play it my issue is I don't have a machine for it is there possibly any way I can turn my modern turnable and modify it so that I can play my older records without hurting it (PS I can't really buy the phonograph made for it as my parents believe they are "too expensive") is there in any way I can mod my modern turntable into making them playable/suggestions on where I can find a cheap machine? Thanks for any ideas if you have any

Okay so for context I have two hermit crabs and recently one of them has buried himself underground which I presume that they're molting (PS I have both dirt and sand in their tank and I'm planning to get a 40 to 60 gallon tank this Sunday/next Sunday) I'm worried that my crab Fern is it very lonely since her friend is buried and molting at the moment she has been moving around but she's been consistently staying near her water bowls I'm just worried that she's going to end up depressed because you know her friend isn't exactly there at the moment because they're molting
