Trying to decide on the best sized desk mat for my desk (40"x24") and color option. Any advice is helpful.
For several years I've been using the map deskpad/mousepad and it's been fine. It works well with my mouse and it's thick/heavy enough that it doesn't slide around. But I'm starting to feel like maybe it's a bit too tall.
I kind of like the 38" x 13.7" desk pad, though the "leather" doesn't work very well with my MX Master 3S I have to use more force to move the mouse and the material is kind of light so even though it says the backing is non-slip, I can still move it around. I really like that it covers most of the length of the desk, I do also like the 12" width of the other one.
Need some advice on which one to go for and what color would work best for my setup. (White laptop, black mouse, white backdrop.
[2016] Android Auto Google Maps keeps repositioning when navigating.
So I updated my infotainment last year, updated the firmware to the latest following some guides. Added Android auto and also installed a new AC/AA USB hub.
The hub works fine, but Android Auto for some reason glitches when I'm navigating. It does it on every phone I've tried, so it's definitely not the phone. It will keep repositioning my location every now and then to my start location which is really annoying to the point I just gave up on using it.
I honestly don't understand why it would be doing this since it should use the GPS of the phone and Google Maps should be exactly the same as what the phone is displaying, but when connected to the vehicle through AA it just glitches out like this... When connected just through bluetooth it's 100% fine.
I recently reused it again and remembered why I stopped.. Has anyone had this issue before and is there any way to fix this?
How to set the start of the week as Monday instead of the Sunday default?
Is there a way to do this in the app that doesn't require completely changing the system language?
Are there any good Watch 9 (US) deals? Looks like you can only get the $30 credit if you also order an accessory? Last year it was $100 to upgrade, this year it's $250+? Am I getting this right?
With the trade of my Galaxy Watch 8 (LTE) the Estimated Total is $261.27 which is absolutely ridiculous
Last year I received $200 for the Galaxy Watch 7 trade-in
This year it's $150..
My order total last year after trade-in was $90.42
This year it's almost triple??? ($90x3 = $270)
There has to be some deals that I'm unaware of because this is absolutely crazy pricing for such an incremental upgrade.
Armrests are about 2" too high for my new desk making me sit lower than I am comfortable being. Are there any solutions for this besides removing them altogether?
Do 2 in 1 cables, like these exist which have data transfer speeds higher than USB 2.0? Because I can't seem to find any.
How do you guys mount your laptops when connecting to a monitor?
I feel like the rear ports would make it a bit awkward for a vertical laptop stand.
No rear port lights or label on the new 7i is a nightmare. What’s your workaround?
I've owned a few Legion 7's, and upgraded to the Gen 10 7i a few months ago.
The biggest thing that annoys me is that I'm always missing the power jack in the back when trying to plug in because it's so easy to mistake the exhaust vents for the port and of course they removed not only the lights, but even the labels for the rear ports for whatever stupid reason. I'm actually kinda surprised that this isn't already a topic.
I want to put something there just as a little guide, but I also don't want it to look super out of place with the beautiful design of this laptop. I want to know what your solutions are, marker? stickers? tape?
Is there a way to change handbrakes default behavior to automatically tick the "Web Optimized" button and switch range from chapters, to seconds?
So I almost always put on web optimized and also whenever I need to cut some footage I use the "seconds" setting, never once have I ever used chapters in the 10+ years I've used handbrake.
Is there any way to change the default behavior to automatically start with these settings?
Thanks for the advice! Adding a monitor arm gave me 2 inches of depth on my narrow desk.
TIL You can create a label for your timer by tapping and holding the timer.. This is the only way to label the timer, you can't label it while you're creating the timer for some reason, you have to create the timer, then tap and hold, then label it..
What service is best for local selling of household items?
I've only ever used offer up in the past and I just downloaded Karrot it seems like there's several different apps of these types so I wanted to know which are actually worth using.

Switched to Visible+ Pro and have horrible service. Worse than both my T-Mobile plan and my $17/mo Google Fi plan (400+ down/35 up).. All my life I would hear about how amazing Verizon service is but I've only ever been on Sprint and T-Mobile. Super disappointed, and this is in NYC!!
Anyone know what's going on with the grocery store on Skillman and 50th? They close on the weekends now, and I just went to go grab something around 8PM and they were closed. Is something going on?
In the past I used to watch the original trilogy and then 2nd trilogy religiously every year. I haven't done that in at least 5-6 years.. I want to get back into it and would love to do so by watching it on the big screen on, seeing how May 4th is tomorrow I was wondering if there was any theaters in the city playing any of the old ones.
A New Hope would be dope, or any of the original trilogy, or 2nd trilogy. I tried doing a quick search and can't really find anything which is surprising to me, I thought there would be a bunch of options in NYC to watch Star Wars on the 4th..
So I updated my BIOS a couple of months ago and had issues, then wound up going back to the previous version. It looks like Lenovo just released a new version and it appears to be a big jump going from 27 to 78. AI tells me this "usually indicates a "Major Branch" update. Lenovo often does this when they integrate a large bundle of fixes from Intel."
When I go into the Lenovo Vantage software and look at the "Read Me" of the BIOS update it says this..

So, not really much information at all.. I'd like to update and see if it fixed the issues I had on the previous install. But I'm definitely weary.. I've been running dGPU mode exclusively because of issues the last BIOS caused me, (I didn't have to do this before I installed the update in March).. Does anyone have any experience with the new BIOS update?
