Why are OLED lovers so insufferable when people say that plasmas are comparable to OLEDs ?

I posted some pics of my TC-P42S2 with my switch2 running some games on the "Nintendo Switch 2" subreddit since I wanted to know what people thought of it, but nearly everyone criticised me for saying that plasma TVs were comparable to OLEDs in image quality.

Someone said that the background was washed out gray instead of black, BUT ITS NOT EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE BLACK🫩

It looks really good on a (non-crappy) plasma TV

It looks even better IRL

The tv is a TC-P42S2, a 42 inch 1080p 60hz Panasonic plasma tv from 2010 (yes it's 16 years old)

Hooked up the TC-P42S2 and it's amazing

It really is a poor man's OLED 🥹 (I'm poor and couldn't get an OLED so I went for a plasma)

Should I buy a TC-P42S2 for around 42 bucks? (Images not in order)

I've never had a plasma tv and I want to upgrade from a Toshiba 19SLV411U (19' 720p TN display) to something better with a mini budget (I'm a student that lives with his parents and I have a console gaming setup).

I've heard that plasmas are beautiful like OLEDs but for a fraction of the price and you don't need heating in winter 😛.

I'd use this plasma to play games on my switch 2 and maybe on a Wii or a WiiU or a PS1 or even hook up my gaming laptop. I'd also hook up my tv terminal.

Also, I did some research and the smallest I'll get at 1080p is 42' and since my free space is limited, I'm keeping it at 42'.

I prioritize the Switch2 since it's my precious baby and the Toshiba's display kinda looks like shit.

Is Instacart a good "first job"?

I have never had a job before and I got ghosted by everyone, so I thought about IC.

I like driving and have access to a PHEV, so fuel costs do not matter.

I'm in QC, but I live in the South Shore, so I'm guessing that orders aren't abundant.

Would getting a wiiU be a waste of money for me?

I've pretty much always wanted to get a WiiU but we never ended up getting one. I found some deals ≈100usd (140cad) but it's probably not justifiable to spend it on a WiiU since I already have a Wii, hooked up to a CRT in my room and I have a Switch 2.

I want a WiiU but I have it's predecessor and it's successor's successor that can pretty much play all of its games faster and in a higher resolution.

I am 100% comfortable with installing cfw on it if I ever get one.

Goat cheese & beef & onion pie with some honey BBQ Fritos mixed in

The meat was already cooked as a leftover.

The goat cheese expires in like a week and I wanted to try a redemption since my last goat cheese onion shit pie

Wii Virtual Console to the rescue

I play 64 on my Wii a few years ago and since I didn't know that VC existed, I played it on a N64 emulator and the game was a bit glitchy at some times: the forest with the "spot the difference" was kinda hell since nearly every texture was black.

I want to play on my Wii because its hooked up to the CRT 🥹

CRT surveillance system at a souvenir shop in Percé

Don't know what the model is, but I assume it's a typical 240p 30hz TV and idk if the b&w is from the system or the TV

My best friend gave me a Kirby plushie 🫶🥹

He is so big and has the same texture as squishmallows, which is a good thing

Switch 2 @720p on syncmaster 750s

I'm really satisfied with the aspect ratio. I would have liked it if my 750s could do 1080p but it's not the end of the word and the image is still beautiful.

Holy these nut bars are sooooo GOOOD

They are addictive and taste real good without having a metric ton of sugar. I used to eat them all the time ( idk why my parents had stopped buying them)

AliExpress is GOATED for buying switch games

You can buy pretty much every game for 20-30 bucks under retail price (85$ for switch 1 games and like 100$ for switch 2 games)

In April I bought pokemon shining pearl for 50$ off compared to retail price and it's amazing

Just ate ¾ of a honeydew 🍈 in one sitting. 10/10 would do it again

Some things to note (didn't take a pic 😔):

It was 4.99 so 1$ cheaper than cantaloupe, which is amazing

It was my first time cutting one so I kept biting into crunchy melon
