My pixel 7 Pro is about to no longer have updates. Super interested in the clicks.

Hi,

My pixel 7 is no longer going to have updates coming this fall.

I am very torn between the Titian elite and the clicks.

I'm hopeful to make this main phone for solely communication

Then use my pixel 7 as an offline GPS for camping and road trips.

Any thoughts on both phones.

I love the look of the clicks however I read that you can scroll with a keyboard like Titian

Update On Bear Aka Beary White.

I posted about Bear a few times.

He was left abandoned and tied up to a post in my grandparents backyard back on March 31st.

He had a pretty bad flea infestation, muscle deterioration and was most likely abused.

I have now had him since April 26th

We have been actively looking for a home

But since he is deaf.

I've been very particular with my vetting process so we haven't found anything yet.

But this is an update as of 3 days ago.

He has made such a comeback.

Bear is absolute cutie and such a funny guy.

Enjoy his big smiles. 🐺

The picture above March 31st when my mom found him On the right was just last Saturday.

South lake Tahoe hike - Lake Aloha

Hi, I'm planning to do a quick little backpacking trip to lake Aloha.

I was just curious if anybody is up in South lake Tahoe right now.

Online weather keeps fluctuating with the rain and now I'm reading that there could be potential smoke coming in from the fires.

I just don't want to get caught in a rainstorm or hiking was smoke.

I appreciate it any insight!

M32 updated the living room

Hi, I just updated my living room since my last post here.

I got some advice to switch up the rug and to make sure all my frames were the same color.

The second photo is puppy tax and I do have some open space but I'm still deciding on the theme I want to go with

Still looking for a Furever home for Bear

Hi everyone,

I posted about Bear a few months ago and how we found him tied up in a backyard.

I'm still looking for a home for him.

Meet Bear (aka Beary White) ❤️

Bear's story didn't start the way any dog deserves.

He was found abandoned and tied up in an alleyway with a severe flea infestation. Based on his condition, the veterinarian believes Bear is around 9–10 years old and had likely spent much of his life tied up, leaving him with muscle deterioration.

I have spent the last several months helping Bear heal, regain his strength, and learn what it means to finally be loved and how to accept affection.

Today, Bear is a completely different dog.

Bear weighs about 55 pounds and, while he may be deaf, that certainly doesn't stop him. Through patience, consistency, and hand signals, Bear has learned to sit, shake, and lie down. He continues to impress everyone with how eager he is to learn.

Bear is one of the sweetest, gentlest dogs you'll ever meet. He does the cutest little happy dance when it's mealtime, loves quiet companionship, and has slowly begun accepting pets, affection, and even the occasional cuddle as he's learned that people can be kind.

Because of his muscle deterioration, Bear enjoys 2 to 3 mile walks each day at his own pace. He loves getting outside, sniffing everything around him, meeting new dogs, and simply enjoying life, something he never really had the chance to do before.

Despite everything he's been through, Bear has no aggression or resentment. When another dog invades his space, he'd much rather walk away than start a conflict. He's done wonderfully with nearly every dog he's met and would do best with respectful canine companions who understand personal space.

Bear would thrive in a home with another calm dog and someone who can give him the love, patience, and attention he has waited his entire life to receive. A home with a backyard or easy outdoor access would be ideal. He can manage a few flights of stairs, but anything beyond that becomes difficult for him.

He's not your typical Husky that's looking for adventure all day. Bear is happiest with a comfortable bed, a peaceful home, a couple of nice walks, and someone to call his family. Most days you'll find him snoozing until it's time to go outside or head out for a walk.

There are some dogs that make you believe in second chances.

Bear is one of them.

After spending so much of his life without love, he's finally learning what safety, kindness, and family feel like. Now all he needs is a forever home where he can spend the rest of his years surrounded by the love he has always deserved.

If you think Bear could be the missing member of your family, please reach out. I'd love to tell you more about this incredible boy.

Went through 3 strong interviews, received positive feedback, then was rejected

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping to get some insight from people who have been on either side of the hiring process because I’m trying to understand where I may have gone wrong.

I’ve been looking for a new opportunity for about a year and a half. My current company has had limited growth opportunities and is now going through a second round of layoffs, so I’ve been actively trying to make a move.

Recently, I applied for a role at a company I had been following for a while. I actually saw a similar position about 9 months ago but missed the opportunity, so when this one opened back up I applied immediately.

The role seemed like an extremely strong match for my background. I spent time learning their software, reviewing their demos, and understanding their product, and it aligned very closely with my previous experience.

Interview #1:

The first interview went extremely well and actually ran over the scheduled time by about 30 minutes. I felt like I connected well with the hiring manager and we had a great conversation.

They asked about salary expectations. I explained that based on my experience I was likely on the higher end of their posted range, but I was open to discussing and negotiating depending on the overall opportunity.

Interview #2:

This conversation went even better. We connected over our backgrounds in logistics and had very similar career paths leading into the industry. They told me they thought I would be a great fit and wanted me to move forward to meet with operations.

Interview #3:

This was with operations. We discussed my troubleshooting process, how I approach problems, taking ownership, and my willingness to take on additional projects and responsibilities.

They talked a lot about growth opportunities within the company and made it clear they were looking for someone who wanted to learn and expand beyond the initial role.

At the end of the interview, they told me they thought I was a perfect fit, gave me their “thumbs up” and “stamp of approval,” and said the next step would just be a final Q&A-style interview to go over my troubleshooting approach.

They even said something along the lines of, “I’m sure you’re going to do just fine,” and that they expected to see me in a few weeks.

Afterwards, I sent a thank-you message.

Normally, they had been following up within about 48 hours to schedule the next step. After a few days passed, I was planning to reach out the following week, but then I received an email saying

"Thank you for taking the time to chat with us this week and for walking us through your background.

We received many strong candidates for the role.

While we won't be moving forward with your application for this specific position right now, we do encourage you to reach out if future opportunities open up again.

We appreciate the energy and preparation you brought to the interview, and we wish you the best in your next professional steps.

Best"

I’m honestly just trying to understand what may have happened.

The only thing I can think of is possibly salary expectations, since I did mention being toward the top of their range, but they never indicated that was an issue and everything throughout the process seemed very positive.

For anyone who has been a hiring manager, recruiter, or has experienced something similar?

what are some possibilities here?

Is this usually a case of another candidate being selected, internal changes, budget issues, or could I have missed something during the interviews?

Thanks in advance for any insight.

Can I get a Treat and Side of Peanut butter nowowoaaa??

A little throwback, when I used to live in the Midwest.

I took Shadow to a dog park brewery.

It was so funny, when you'd go to order a drink, you'd leave the dogs in the park area and they could see you through the glass.

However he used to have real bad separation anxiety

People were getting pretty mad with his howling while I was ordering. 🤣

My Baby Boy turned 12 recently

Hi everyone,

My boy turned 12 recently

I adopted him when he was 1 or 2 - they didn't know. They just found him in a dumpster and on their way out of town picking up some other huskies.

Anyways, the vet says he is in great health especially for his age and hasn't shown signs of arthritis or pain in his back legs yet.

We actively walk 6-10 miles a day and he still acts like a pup most of the time. When people meet him they think he's 5.

That being said, 12 is up there for a dog but I've heard from others a husky can go till 15.

I've had this dude through so many crucial moments of my life.

He's moved all over the place with me and has been so adaptable.

When I had no one he was always there for me with a big smile and ready for a long hike.

My question is how do you cope with aging?

I spent so much time telling myself. I've got time. Just don't think about it but now just hearing 12 it really crept up on me.

Enjoy some of my favorite photos of Shadow since we moved back to California from the Midwest

The last one is with our newest foster Bear aka ( Beary White) 🤣

Getting a vasectomy next Friday

Hi, I'm getting a vasectomy next Friday but I am concerned. A friend told me that they had a pretty bad procedure and ended up having endless pain.

I'm going to planned Parenthood and it seems that they aren't using any scalpels or anything.

Just looking for some reassurance before my appointment next week.

Thanks!

Just wanted to share

I recently started selling heavily on depop back in February.

And I always make it my mission to try to ship within a few hours of the sale or as soon as I get off of work if and orders placed at night

I really appreciate it when I purchase from another seller and provide the same level of communication I try to provide.

On this reddit I see a lot of bad interactions but I figured I'd share a positive one!

Foster keep peeing their bed

Hello,

I recently helped rescue the abandoned husky

And according to the vet, they think that he has been tied up most of his life.

I purchased him a bed when he first moved here and it lasted a week before in the middle of the night he peed all over it.

I have a backup bed that I use for my girlfriend's dog or any of my friends dogs that come by

So I gave him that and over the past 2 weeks it was fine

Then this morning I noticed that he peed his bed again and he was sleeping on the edge of it.

I let him out frequently and even let him out right before bed last night.

I'm purchasing him another bed however, I'm worried he got pee this one.

Have you had any experience with this? If so, can you offer any advice on how to stop it?

He isn't peeing anywhere else in the house though. We're having any other accidents just in his bed.

What a little love and care can do

Hello everyone!

I posted about Bear about a month ago.

He was abandoned in my grandparents backyard.

Up the in the center valley of California

2 weeks later I was able to make my way up and see him

He had a pretty bad flea infestation.

I cleaned them up the best I could

However, my mother couldn't deal seeing him in pain so she took him to the vet.

We found out he was chipped but the owner never followed up.

We named him Bear

The vet said

He is about 9/10

He is deaf and some muscle loss and his back right leg

And this was due to they think that he was tied up most of his life.

I've now had him home with me in the Bay Area for 2 weeks.

And he's made a tremendous change.

He is a truly a big gentle giant.

I haven't slowly walking him around 4 miles a day but he loves walking with my 12 year old husky

He's done 7 mi a day but then he tends to get a little tired and slow down so we dropped him down to 4 MI just to slowly build up that muscle.

I am posting on here to see if anyone would be interested in taking him in as a furever home.

I wish I could keep him but right now, I'm not financially set to handle two dogs, especially with my husky creeping in to 12 years old. I have money to set aside for some of his medical expenses that may come up but not one for another dog.

However I did post this in the Husky Reddit as well and someone was kind of to give me a donation which will set me up well for next 6 month worth of food for him.

I'm not in a rush to get rid of him, but due to him having special needs I want to make sure it's someone who has the time, patience, care and love that he truly needs.

The picture above on the left is the day my mom found him vs just yesterday afternoon after living with me for 2 weeks.

It crazy what a little love and care can do for a dog ☺️

Thank you for taking the time to read.

Panasonic turntable

Hello,

My grandfather gifted me this.

He told me it was my great-grandfather's that he used in the office during the '70s and '80s.

Everything turns on even the radio works great

But the turntable itself doesn't spin.

I read it might be a belt issue, I was just curious if anyone happens to know what belt I should order for it.

Thanks!

Hello Everyone!

I recently started fostering this husky 4 days ago.

It's a super sad story.

He was tied up and abandoned in an alley near my grandparents house.

It was caught on a ring camera by their name neighbor

Luckily my grandparents had a secondary property so they were able to place him there and a fenced area

I was able to go up and see him about 3 weeks ago for the first time and he had a pretty bad flea infestation.

I was able to clean him up to the best of my ability

However, my mother who's taking care of my grandparents

Couldn't stand the sight of seeing him in pain

So she took him to the vet.

We were able to get him all fixed up and he spent 2 weeks quarantined before I brought him home just to ensure that he wouldn't get fleas on my 12 year boy

The vet told us that

He was around 9/10

He is deaf and has been for quite some time

Their signs of arthritis but even worse is there's a lack of muscle in right back leg and they think that is due to him being tied up most of his life and lack of exercise

But beyond that, the vet had told us that he is extremely healthy

And just a very special soul.

As of right now I live in the Bay Area, and I am looking to find him of the right hole if you have any connections of somebody who would want an older husky with some special needs.

But I'm not willing to give him up to just anybody.

And why I am posting? This is just any tips on how to help train and work with a deaf dog

I named him Bear.

He's an absolute gentle giant, and over the past few days, he's slowly starting to understand that he finally has a home and safe.

I purchased him a gel cooled orthopedic bed and he was so excited to have his own soft space to sleep in.

He hasn't had any accidents in the home. He's actually been very good about smelling underneath my apartment door to let me know he needs to go out.

I'll attach a few pictures for puppy tax and the last picture is when my mom found him.

You can see how much happier he is being in a home 😭🙂‍↕️

Btw yes, I have contacted every rescue in the Bay area and surrounding areas.

Including rescues that specialize with Huskies and older dogs and everywhere has either turned him away due to the breed or they're at Max capacity

Personally I would keep him just financially I can't support two dogs just yet, but I have a couple job interviews this week and next week.

Which would drastically increase my pay and I might be able to keep him if that's when it ends up panning out.

But any advice on training with him being deaf and leads would be wonderful

Thank you!!!
