Purchased a Motorola Signature phone yesterday (August 16) at Reliance Digital. Turns out the device was already activated a month before (July 12). Need help ASAP.

I bought the device yesterday night, 16th of August at a local Reliance Digital.

The first thing that raised my suspicion was that the device which I unboxed from a sealed box was filthy. The screen had grimy marks stuck on it and the camera lenses were riddled with greasy fingerprints. It was like somebody had used the device and carefully put it back together before wiping it clean properly. I pointed it out to the sales person and he just hurriedly wiped the device and handed it over to me.

The next thing was that the paperwork provided was not tucked in neatly under the grooves of it's tiny packaging, it was all bundled together loosely on top of the inserts in such a way that when I opened, the entire pile just fell on the floor since it was not seated inside the intended grooves of it's packaging

And the final major issue is that when I tried to check the warranty status of the phone to make sure that it's a new and unused device, the Motorola website kept throwing the message, "Device not yet activated" rather than giving me the warranty status. The sales person re-assured me that it will get activated shortly.

I've been trying to reach out to Motorola from today morning. And it's just AI garbage on calls, not a single living human picked up the phone after I was transferred like a hundred times.

When I reached out to Motorola India on Twitter , they told me that the device had an activation date of July 12, despite being purchased just yesterday on August 16. How could this be possible for a new device?

They have not addressed a single point I raised regarding the early activation date or the signs of usage on the device, they keep evading my question and telling me that they will update it on their system and that they need 48 hours.

They are clearly stalling me as they offer only a 7 day replacement policy and they apparently need 2 days just for a simple warranty check. And I don't want an updated warranty date, I need a new, unused device, something that I paid for.

I could not get any warranty information out of the Indian website as I had mentioned earlier, so I tried the USA website and it confirmed that the device was indeed activated on July, and not August

These three things make me suspect that this is indeed an used device being sold under the guise of a brand new unit.

How do I get a replacement because this is really unfair. I'm attaching the relevant screenshots in the link below.

The first screenshot is the Indian website which says that the device is not activated yet.

The second screenshot is my chat with the official Motorola India Account on Twitter where they admit that the device was activated on July.

The third screenshot is the US website which confirms that the device was indeed activated on July.

What should I check before I buy THIS used NVME SSD?

I came across a deal on Facebook of a pulled out Samsung PM9AI (OEM 980 Pro) for 70 USD. It seems to be 4 years old, but has a health of 100% and Terrabytes Written (TBW) of 1.19TB on Hard Disk Sentinel (check attached images) Can this be faked?

Now I do not know anything about buying used storage and I cannot afford new parts in this economy. Is there a possibilty of flashing fake firmware and drive health status on a cheap fake SSD to pass it off as a genuine Samsung drive?

What should I check so that I do not get scammed and make sure that I buy a genuine, working NVME drive?

Legal ramifications of re-homing a lost pet???

Spotted a lost Pomeranian in my street and spread word through animal volunteer groups in my city. No one claimed the dog, and we had trouble securing it.

During midnight, the dog was surrounded and was being attacked by strays and we were able to secure it. It is now housed temporarily in a rescuer's house and we are actively looking for people to adopt the dog. The local Blue Cross wouldn't take him in, since he's very healthy and they can't accommodate him.

The thing is, he has a microchip in him, and we tried contacting the original owner, but they're unreachable. Their address is registered around 40-50Km away from my neighbourhood where we happened to find the dog.

We were able to get a few people to visit their residence to inform them, but there wasn't anyone home.

We are torn right now because we don't know what to do, we have no choice but to give the dog away for adoption since we can't house it any longer, but are worried about any legal trouble we may face in case the previous owner comes into the picture.

We have no prior experience dealing with such stuff, so any insight and advice is appreciated.
