Little Rock Chapter of GRASP no longer exists

Hello all. The opioid epidemic has hit me really hard. I have lost upwards of 20 friends to this horrible monster. I need a support group.

There is one called GRASP, but when reaching the contact, she told me it no longer exists in Arkansas. This doesn't make sense because people are still losing their lives to fentanyl here.

Do any of you know of any overdose support groups in central Arkansas? I can't afford therapy. These deaths haunt me. It seems like people with addiction and the people left behind no longer matter after an overdose. THE PAIN IS SO GREAT. I need help.

If this goes against community standards, I apologize.

I can't stop thinking about my loved ones lost to this epidemic. I sit lonely with my thoughts of my friends being gone. I need help. I need support. So many people do, yet I see our lawmakers doing nothing to actively help people

The petition has grown large enough that Change.org emailed it to me

It was the first email in my inbox this morning. Even if it isn't removed, imo his music should at least be demonetized, and if not that then his money should go to help vulnerable children and pay for all of Celeste's funeral costs. The imagery in his videos and the lyrics in some of his songs isn't all that great considering what he has been charged with.

Justice for Celeste Rivas Hernandez

Edited to add:

Restitution and Victim Funds: If an artist owes legal financial obligations or victim restitution, a substantial portion or all of their royalties may be legally garnished to pay off those debts before they see any money.

See also: "Son of Sam" Laws: Most states and jurisdictions have laws designed to prevent convicted individuals from profiting off the publicity of their specific crimes. Known generally as Son of Sam laws, these statutes were first created in the late 1970s and have evolved over time. In 1991, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down New York's original law on First Amendment grounds. Because of this, many states have rewritten their statutes to pass constitutional muster. Depending on the state where the crime took place, these laws permit the state to intercept, freeze, or redirect money earned from works detailing or capitalizing on the specific crime committed.

Is the American Experiment a failure?

We were supposee to be based on:

°Self-Rule

This has failed due to foreign billionaires funding massive PACS

°Equality

This is a clear failure, this needs no explanation

°Separation of church and state

Inch by inch, religion has crept into our government. All 3 branches. I can't think of a single United States president who was not a Christian. Laws are being "interpreted" with their personal religious convictions, and they are happily changing decades of precident based on said personal convictions

°Mass gun violence with nearly zero checks and balances. Nothing is being done to protect citizens from gun violence. A society is a failure if it doesn't protect what forms the society - human beings.

°High maternal death rates, poor education, taxpayer dollars being used to fund private religious schools, undoing protections for persons of color or the LGBTQ community, lack of affordable housing, rollbacks on environmental protections, vast tax breaks for the über wealthy, while the people with the least struggle the most.

This is a brief set of examples amongst many, to lend credence to the idea that the American experiment has failed.

Do you think it has failed? Thanks for reading. This has been on my mind for awhile. It just doesn't seem to be going that great.

Ok so I recently started physical therapy. Well! To my surprise, after about 10 minutes there I noticed they were playing Jesus music. Like, I know I'm in the bible belt but this is ridiculous. The music was so corny! They were wearing wwjd accessories, saying "Praise god!" and hi-fiving.

Then, to my amazement, I finally heard music that I know! Hooray! It was Huey Lewis and the News "That's the power of love," BUT BUT *no it wasnt*. It was the song alright, but the lyrics were changed to "that's the power of gods love" and I am being so serious. I had no idea that Jesus house music exists 😩😫 lol idk if I can keep going there, y'all. I feel like I'm at boble camp.
