Me staring at my War in The East 1941 campaign realizing that I will have absolutely no time to play this when school and sports start next week

It really sucks because i have no motivation to get invested if im going to have such little time to play this extremely long game. On top of that, this game requires me to actually focus which I probably won't be able to do when I'm exhausted.

How do y'all cope with this stuff all year when you have an actual job?

How did Axis logistics keep up with the advance during operation Barbarossa?

Even in the opening weeks of Barbarossa, the Axis had already pushed hundreds of kilometers into Soviet territory. Despite this, their advance continued further, and as more and more land was taken, the distance between the frontlines and the original Soviet border grew and grew.

So how did the Axis supply their troops over such a long distance?

The Germans had previously fought across the well-developed road and rail networks of Central and Western Europe, leveraging them to allow motorized and armored elements to quickly move and be resupplied, but now they were in the USSR. The road and rail networks were some of the most undeveloped in Europe, and mud made using smaller roads extremely difficult. On top of this, the German and Soviet rail systems used different sized railways, forcing the Germans to tear-up Soviet rail everywhere they went in order to place their own.

It seems to me like this is an impossible logistical situation, yet the Axis managed to push all the way to the gates of Moscow and Stalingrad despite it. So how did they do it?

Are there any maps that are archipelagos or a bunch of islands?

I've been really into amphibious warfare lately, and I absolutely love seeing the LAVs and BTRs/BRDMs in the water. In vanilla, this obviously doesn't happen much due to the huge single landmasses the maps currently are.

So are there any community maps or servers that use a map that would incentivise amphibious operations?

Is it safe to seed for other users without a VPN? If not, how do i disable seeding?

It's my first time torrenting, and i wanted to be safe by having a VPN, but unfortunately there were no VPN options i could find that provided P2P in their free package. Obviously I dont want to pay for that, so I went ahead and signed up for a free trial of Sharksurf VPN, which has a trial period of 7 days.

I understand that its customary to seed for other users to download easier, and im willing to do that for the short time that I have my VPN, but im curious as to what will happen whenever my free trial expires, and i have to return to a free VPN.

Will my ISP be able to see this and slap a fine on my door? If so, how to i disable seeding when that time comes?

I'd love to just keep seeding for other people... but i also dont want to deal with ISP shenanigans.

(Using qbittorrent btw!)

Any reliable way to find niche titles?

Due to the rules, I cant specifically name the title im looking for, but its a very specific RTS game which, if it has over 500 active players at any given time, id be surprised.

The issue is that ive found this game on only 1 site, and the only .rars I've downloaded so far have either been encrypted or had setup programs within the extracted file that were flagged as having malware.

I've used the provided search engines to no avail.

If anyone has any advice on how to dig even deeper and aquire this kind of niche title id much appreciate it.

Apologies if my tech understanding is limited, ive just pirated my first few games earlier this week.

This needs to be fixed! - Army General Highway 66

The score calculation for Army General is honestly a mess.

I was playing Highway 66 on elite difficulty, and despite wiping out 50 battalions, capturing 6/7 objectives, encircling thousands of men, and having no opposition between my forces and the East German border, i don't win.

I understand that I lost because of the score counter in the top right, but ending with a draw obviously makes no sense when you look at anything other than the score.

Eugen should fix this by making encircled battalions count nearly as much as a destroyed battalion if they are still cut-off when the game ends. Also, for this scenario, NATO should get more points for entering Fulda and the other rear objectives, considering that the PACT gets to just gain points from them the whole game.

I know this is supposed to be a hard mission, but losing on a technicality is some BS.

In my head I can say i won, but when I see grandpa tell me that it was a stalemate at the end i lose all dopamine i had lol.

Will there ever be Community created Scenarios and Army General campaigns?

I'm sure someone has asked this question before, but I think this would be awesome for singleplayer fans like myself.

It seems like over the last few DLCs and updates, singleplayer content has been repeatably ignored. This is a shame because scenarios and Army General campaigns are some of the most fun I've had on this game. I feel like the Army General is a very special and unique game mode that I very rarely see in other military titles.

If the devs do not want to keep creating this content (probably because it is not a profitable), they should allow modders to create custom scenarios and campaigns in the workshop to keep the singleplayer community around.

Ping fluctuating wildly

In the server list screen, pings are normal and do not fluctuate, but when I get into a game (Server said 62 ping US-MI), my ping will randomly spike to 200-600 ping for a few seconds.

Most of the time, ping stays normal, but during the spikes it obviously gets pretty hard to play.

Is anyone else experiencing this, or is this just a problem on my end? Other games are not really having this issue.

This game is AWESOME

Just bought this game today, and it is absolutely amazing.

I've always been a fan of of RTS games in a historical setting. I've played hundreds of hours of Warno, Sea Power, Shogun 2, Company of Heros, and plenty others.

But this game tops all of them.

First off, the tutorial is super helpful. It took me about an hour, but it didn't feel like i was being forced to do it. The missions were still fun, despite me being put on rails when it came to what I could do. I feel like good tutorials that teach you "everything" you need to know are super rare, especially in the RTS scene.

Secondly, the amount of details and intricate mechanics is totally awesome. From being able to steal enemy tanks, to literally being able to loot individual grenades off of your dead men, there are so many tiny things that can absolutely change the direction of the game. I was on my first attack for Conquest, and by stealing and fixing an enemy 75mm, I completely turned the tide of the match by bombing the crap out of the enemy trenches. Despite the insane level of control and lack of ability to pause, i dont feel overwhelmed by it which is nice.

Finally, the feel and esthetic is perfect. I've always been a fan of the WW2 scene, and this game perfectly encapsulates my perspective of what this conflict would have felt like. Ontop of this, the details and attention to historical accuracy is beautiful. Despite all the details, the game runs amazing for me. It might just be my experience, but this game seems really well optimized.

I don't think ive ever felt such a genuine "oh shit" moment as when I was on the defensive, and while watching a horde of Soviets rush at my trench, realize that 80% of my troops had no ammo because they had literally shot it all.

10/10 game. Nice to see something cool and original come out for this dying genre. Shoutout devs.

What was the worst, most annoying meta OAT?

There have been alot of metas throughout the history of warzone, but which one do you think was the worst? By the worst I mean either the most overpowered or most un-fun.

Me personally it was the RPK and Fennec in Warzone 2.0. If you weren't running that combo in season one, you were basically guaranteed to lose.

Second up is probably the One-shot doom shotgun. That things was annoying as hell.

HOT TAKE - I think this person who posted about pregnancy in this sub is LYING (See image 2/4)

Im sure you have seen this post already, but I want to go ahead and clarify that I could VERY EASILY BE WRONG, and that this post is not an effort to bring hate upon this person if i happen to be wrong.

I feel like this person is lying. Their story is full of contradictions, and i couldn't help but try to figure it out.

Point 1. Religion

In image 4, you see the most recent post of hers. Make sure to note the fact that her parents want to get rid of the baby. In image 1, you see OOP make a post to a Christian subreddit. This alone is not odd, but when looking at image 11, you see her claim that she "remembered it was a sin". Obviously, any person vaguely aware of the rules of Christianity would be well aware of the sin that is sex between 2 unmarried people, and wouldn't just "remember" it after and claim they were just blissfully unaware. On top of this, her parents, for being strict conservative Christians, seem very ready to get rid of this baby. (Note that in image 13, OOP claims that her parents are not strict, despite every other image proving otherwise). I myself am not Christian, and not a woman nor a parent, so I may not be fully understanding this, but this seems very contradictory.

Point 2. Times they "did it"

Refer to images 6, 7, 11, and 13.

OOP in her oldest comment related to this incident, claims that she and her boyfriend "do it at least once a week". In 2 other comments she says they've done it twice, and in another she says they've done it 2-3 times. What's with the inconsistency with this number? Why does she seem to keep changing it? Doing it at least once a week certainly means you have done it much more than 2 times. But why would she lie about that?

Point 3. Age

OOP claims she is 13 years old and going into the 8th grade, see image 5. In image 10, she claims to have stolen something from a teacher when in 7th grade. Admittedly, this is a fairly weak peice of evidence for my argument and a bit of a stretch, but i feel like the way she phrased the statement makes it seem like she is looking back on this moment, as if it happened a long time ago. Looking at image 12, we see OOP talking about having "had middle school relationships". Note how she says "had" as in past tense. She also says that they "never last at the time but seem real, but at 14 they are probably serious". All of this feels to me like an older person looking back at middle school in a past tense manner. Why would she be indirectly calling her own relationship unserious if they literally had sex multiple times and are now having to face pregnancy? Finally, note how, in image 3, OOP is frequently in a subreddit called r/2008.

Other smaller points.

Telling the boyfriend.

There seems to be a timeline error with OOPs story. See images 9/8. OOP claims to have told her boyfriend of the situation as of 11 days ago, but then proceeds to claim to be scared of telling him the news as of 8 days ago.

Her account.

OOPs account is 13 days old. It seems to me like one hell of a coincidence to have this incident fall less than 3 days from the creation of your account.

My possible conclusions from most to least probable:

  1. This is a young girl who is rightfully freaked out and changing/lying about tiny details in her story to get sympathy and reassurance

  2. This is an actual young girl who is lying about this stuff for attention

  3. This is not a young girl who is still lying about this stuff for attention

  4. This is a bot

There is really nothing else to say, but its 1am and I already did all this so im gonna post it anyways. I just hate when people lie for no reason.

Just want to say again that I could very easily be wrong, and that even if im right, dont go and annoy this person.

Sol:Real Scale solar system - help with getting to lunar orbit.

Hey guys. As the title says, I am using Blackracks Sol mod, which creates a 1:1 scale solar system, placing the edge of earth's atmosphere at 140,000m (or 120,000 i cant remember). On top of this mod, I am using Principia and FAR (a mod that realistically models aerodynamics).

I'm in sandbox mode, and I cant tell if my engines/rockets are just extremely undersized or not, but i cannot seem to get my 3t satellite into orbit of the moon. I've been able to get a 4t satellite into LEO, but for whatever reason i cant seem to make a rocket efficient enough to get to the moon.

With my most efficient rocket, I was able to get into LEO orbit with about 1000m/s of deltaV to spare, but the injection burn costs about 3000m/s.

I'm sure with a few more launches I could get it right, but what im more concerned about is how the heck im going to get a manned mission into lunar orbit, and then to the surface and back!? The LM-CM combo during the Apollo missions weighed 45 tons! How am I going to do that with the engines available to me?

If anyone has any tips or tricks on how to maximize the efficiency of my rocket, that would be great, because if im struggling with a 3t satellite, im gonna have a fun time with the manned missions for sure.

If a small business owner has the funds to hire someone to track and manage expenses (think spreadsheets), is it immoral for them to use AI and keep the money instead?

Assume that the business owner could hire the employee without going bankrupt, but that it would still cost a significant portion of their profits. Also assume that the AI does the job almost as well as the employee.

Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my Shuttle/Fuel Tank stage?

I've launched twice with no success due to this flipping that happens when I disconnect my SRBs. I know that it has an un-centered center of mass, thrust, and poor aerodynamics, but wouldn't my vectoring engines, flaps, SAS, and RCS be enough to counteract this? Help would be appreciated; I've already killed lost 6 kerbals in this Shuttle Program.
