I’m dumb and I need advice on PCs
Hello people !
Thank you for clicking here cause I’m assuming you have somewhat of an answer to my problem (or have the same problem, in which case WE’RE IN THIS TOGETHER BROTHERS AND SISTERS).
I have saved up quite a lot of money (for me) and I wanted to get a PC, since mine broke a year ago and I got stiked down by the yearly Minecraft urge without anything to satisfy it. SOOOOOO, as the very simple fella I am, I went to Amazon, and searched up the best cheapest Mini PC I could find.
I ordered it, it arrived, I tested it.
Now, before I continue, I’ll give you a bit of context : My mom does NOT want a box, nor a router, and since I’m a MINOR I can’t buy one, since people keep saying “just buy a router”, MF SHE DIDN’T EVEN GIVE ME WIFI ON MY PHONE WTF ARE YOU ON ABOU- *ahem* sorry, got too carried away. Long story short, every person in this house relies on her connection share (Awesome right ??)
All the other computers in the house receive the wifi just fine (with me ocasionally getting 40 ms outta nowhere) all of them reach 60-80 ms without struggling. Although *this one* (spiteful voice) decided that “Hey ! I’m gonna give this guy 700 constant ms ! Cause it’s fun !”.
That’s right. I downloaded 4 different apps on this pc. It took 7 COMPLETE HOURS.
I’m sending it back to Amazon, but here’s what actually brings me here : I NEED ADVICE.
I don’t know shit about PC components, it’s like speaking Chinese to me whenever you start rambling about CPU or graphic card.
What I’m asking for here is for someone to maybe explain to me how each component works and the different statistics I need to look at, what they mean and affect and wether they can be changed or not, or someone that would maybe be kind enough to help me out on the choice of my PC cause I don’t have much money and I have specific needs. Anyhow, thanks for reading allat (and witnessing a crashout from me that you were totally not expecting at all… right ?) and sorry if I made you lose your time.
Have a good one anyway and stay safe
