Mostly just the title. I am playing Colosseum and XD lately, and I haven’t been able to get XD to work unless it’s in my actual gamecube. It’s my understanding that XD should work in the same wii as my other gamecube games, maybe it’s different though?

Miguel is a strong muscular dude which helps his strikes with reinforcement because he starts from a stronger base than most characters.
Yuji is among the strongest in base, contested by HR folks only.
Logically, Sukuna in Yuji’s body should be the strongest JJK character in raw strength going max reinforcement (Star rage or blue would affect this ranking, but I’m talking without techniques). However, I don’t think we have a single panel where Sukuna in Megumi’s body is regarded as less physically capable. Nor does he remark whilst in Yuji about Yuji’s body, outside of its ability to suppress him (iirc). Yes he comments on Maki being ‘like the brat, but a bit further.’ But this isn’t in reference to his strength inside Yuji, just of the fact we already knew that he was strong. Similarly, we have no comments on the strength of Sukuna’s body. Its main panel is regarding additional hands, eyes, and a mouth which all improve his jujutsu and combat skills. Any showcase of his strength happens with cursed energy as a factor. Thus, we can’t establish a feat-to-feat comparison (especially since we don’t see him pushed to his limits until maybe a blackflash here or parts of Shinjuku or following several debuffs). This brings me to my queries…
Do you believe that Sukuna is always Sukuna-strength in all bodies? This could account for his lack of appraisal of any vessel’s power, despite it having a discernible difference in jujutsu outcomes (again, see Miguel). Or do you think Yuji’s base physicals make Yujikuna stronger than Meguna (or even Heian-Sukuna)? If that’s the case, are you basing off the implied information, or did I miss/forget a panel?
It’s been two years(?) since I picked up the manga so this might account for my misremembering.

Hi all, this is a really cool community, happy to see it and hope to join it. A decade ago I struggled hard with >!bingeing!< and >!purging!< especially mixed in with skipping days of eating or over-exercising. I ended up in a bad spot with other mental illnesses, but I was on the path to recovery. The past few years I’ve lost weight a bit more steadily. My relationship with food isn’t the best, but I eat healthy and never do anything vicious to my body after eating. But today…but today…

Today I ate a sandwich. I was just biting into a sandwich. >!First bite was fine, a bit tasty, a little softer than I wanted, but fine. The next one, unpleasant. Every aspect was the same, except I was different. I couldn’t swallow it all. And then a familiar, but long forgotten urge stirred in my skin!<.

I’m about to shower, and I’m turning the lights off so I don’t see myself. I haven’t done this since I was a tortured teenager. It’s so terrifying to be small again, to be vile again. But I know what not to do, I won’t do it. I’m stronger now, at least.

Boundaries aren’t to be set in my household. But what is worse, sometimes, than being unable to tell those that love you to respect a repeated request to cease specific jokes and unwanted contact, is knowing that bringing them closer to your passions and joys is also an act of opening yourself up to such glaring vulnerabilities. If it’s known that I feel passionately about the climate, then an overt littering is in order. That is love, modeled and insisted. Drilled into my brain. It’s just how if my sibling, oh so terrified of bridges after their bus crossed one in near-collapse as a child, is ever in the car and the wheels rolls across the connection between lands, a sudden stop, and an insistent reference to our position is, of course, in order. What revelry beams across that face when I say “please don’t.” I watch those machinations whirl behind those loving eyes. Behind mine, I’m similarly calculating, not to inflict damage, but weighing all that they’ve done for me, and squaring that with all they’ve done to me. And, next time, whether I’ll be preyed upon when I’m happy or when I’m frustrated, the spears jabbed inside me are ones I handed to them. Ones I handed off when I held tight onto my beliefs. Ones I handed off when I shared deeply my feelings about something prescient. Ones I dropped off beside me, thinking I no longer needed weapons of my own. Yet, as expected as they are, when one breach pierces through me, I’m often left ailing, screaming, and wailing to the sky, thinking: “I am not the kind of daughter that suits these people. I ought to better.”

I was reading a recent post here about small talk. It made me worry about one of my social practices. I don’t often engage someone in small talk unless there seems to be a social spark (shared chuckle, glance, etc.). And I try to be vigilant to withdraw if the person seems unengaged or standoffish or uncomfortable or even just tired. However, as lover of humans, I really like to compliment people. I prefer to tell them that something whole to them is great (pretty, witty, tough, honorable), but I also adore passing a quick comment to a stranger regarding a choice they’ve made (nice shoes, cool piercing, etc.) I can imagine, though I don’t know, that if you’re in your day-to-day and you don’t like being approached or engaged in convo unprepared/unwittingly, that my squeaky praise of your clothes might feel a bit unwanted. Despite being an extrovert, I’m goddamn terrible at taking compliments. After all, wanting to socialize doesn’t mean you have social skills. I thusly understand the potential discomfort of receiving a compliment. For some people, I worry both the unexpected nature and the presumed expectation of emotion/gratitude could compound on that distress. I genuinely want to make people smile, so if some people think it might be invasive I might stick to complimenting people I know well regarding their accolades, physicality, and personhood. Is there an understanding, amongst some people, of that phase where joy is unobtainable, yet you could find moments of humor? I need to be clear, I am not speaking of levity. Not a moment of reprieve, even in brevity. I am meaning a snicker, a momentary chuckle, oftentimes a self-deprecating joke to gain the forced laughs buried in your tightened chest.

I was picturing the smile of someone dear to me, the smile they give today. I pictured their younger face smiling, seeing how much more muted, inexpressive, withdrawn they once were. I cannot picture the brimming smiles of their youthful face, but I can recall such raucous laughter hidden in the scarce opportunities for fantasy and escape. What level of sunken and sorrowful—sullen and horrible—can one truly reach whilst still clinging to whimsy?

When carving oneself is a routine activity, it’s still fair to cosplay humanity, as such, I fear it is not too ridiculous to say the depressed can engage in the humorous. But then I remember the phases marked by a null series of emotional changes. And once again, I am wrapped in the syndrome of an imposter. Wondering: how greatly must I suffer,
how deeply must I be drained, how severely must I be pained, to feel valid in the ail-led race occupying my mind’s bandwidth, at its ill-set pace my life disagrees with.

Do people prefer reading about a new CT/DE in isolation? Or alongside a character? Or is it just case-by-case?

Ancient Gladiator

Gaius is a man of ancient history, a sorcerer of renown from the skirmishes and madness of the early 2nd century. As a fan of bloodsport, he remained in the arena, only leaving to join in war efforts. As a dual-wielder, Gaius is never found without his sica, two small scimitars that look closer to daggers in the massive gladiators’ grip.

He is best described as a brute. A large man, with scarred muscles, greased curled hair, and deeply sun-charred olive skin. Besides a drive for battle and carnage, Gaius revels in parties, mostly for the wine and not the company. It is rare he finds himself tolerating banter or chatter outside of battle taunts.

Roman Jujutsu

Gaius is not engraved with a CT or privy to the advanced techniques of domain amplification or expansion. He is a strong fighter that understands the value of reinforcing strikes with cursed energy and refreshing injuries with its reversal. His power comes mostly from his weapon.

When engaging in bloodsport, often Gaius would seal his cursed energy away, since he rarely faced any opponent that had the same power. At first, he tried to stop himself from reinforcing his strikes, but he did so reflexively; he found it even harder to fight the instinct to heal any injuries.

An incidental sacrifice

He became hyper focused on finding a way to seal his cursed energy away, at least for fighting, just for the challenge. After experiments with reinforcing his blades, or sealing it in chains, he began to exhaust himself of all cursed energy before each fight. Eventually, his experiments and desperation led him to discover the power of vows. By forming a hand-sign with his blade hilts atop one another, and his fingers interlaced, one blade to the ground, the other tilted to the sky, Gaius learned to seal his cursed energy into the adjoined hilts. In doing so, he became entirely curse-free without reinforcing either blade. But becoming curse free, caused him to attain a he of heavenly restriction—the result of this vow wherein he seals his power away and changes fighting styles. He is deeply attuned with the weapon forged by the extremely reinforced and affixes blades, forming a highly dual blade.

Though he was attempting to level the field between himself and non sorcerers, he found the rewards of his vow to seal away his power and change fighting stances too great to deny. Obliterating endless opponents and soldiers in a juggernaut bloodbath before a terrified emperor made Gaius realize how banal all opponents were. Chased out of his city the following sullen night, he entered an old tomb and knelt down, sealing himself and his blade into a similar barrier, awaiting a challenge.

History/Backstory

Centuries ago, the sato clan was a group of wealthy merchants and land owning nobles. They sought the prettiest sorcerers, to incorporate jujutsu into an otherwise mundane bloodline. Even in the modern day, almost all Sato sorcerers are female. Of this generation, amongst nine cousins, only Ume and Suki were both with cursed energy.

Raised with the ideals of the Sato clan, the two have more ire for each other than the vilest of cursed spirits. Ume is the prettier woman, and was awarded the clan’s sole cursed tool, while Suki has much more potential as a sorcerer, she has to focus on her body more than her power to get recognition.

The two are cousins, born three years apart, with Suki being the elder. Despite being 20 and 17, neither girl was allowed to study at the jujutsu schools in kyoto and tokyo.

Ume Powerscale

With access to The Spear of Ideals a potent cursed tool, Ume is able to reach genuinely impressive AP and speed, but she is not a good enough fighter or innately talented enough sorcerer to keep up. Her lack of a technique further hampers her abilities in fights with anything beyond a first grade spirit.

The Spear of Ideals creates weightlessness along anything that touches the handle, but also can anchor itself at the blade, even if you “lodge” it into the air. An adept user can swing high into the sky and land with incredible momentum. With just moderate reinforcement, the attacks can land like a well placed strike of playful cloud.

But, without her tool, she is about a grade 2 sorcerer, maybe a bit stronger because she’s reacted to higher tier foes, but she is overall a mediocre combatant with little physical training and no special jujutsu traits

Suki Powerscale

Suki is a rare case, blessed with immense cursed reserves (not Yuta-level, but absolutely special grade) and a technique, she has arguments for a very high ceiling. Her technique, Mists of Allure, can be used to great effect in combat to draw threats away. But, her only form of damage is through typical CE blasts or raw reinforcement. Since she spends so much time worrying about her appearance, not wanting to look to masculine, her AP is weak without high tier reinforcement. The case is made worse by the fact that she has no formal CE training, and is among the least efficient curse wielders ever (occasionally emulating divergent fists on accident).

Mists of Allure generates a fine white mist with soft sparkles. The mists dampen the impact of other techniques/cursed energies in the area and targets the senses of targets who breathe it in and gaze through it. When used with targeted intention, it can cause specific illusions and tactile hallucinations, but when spread across a large area, it often makes false images of the user throughout its borders as it slowly dissipates. This technique has a high CE cost that could be mitigated if you reabsorbed the mist after the battle, but Suki is unaware of that fact.

Suki is desperate to be deemed worthy of the family weapon, convinced she’d be a very capable sorcerer. Only of them is going to be selected to get a husband, and she doesn’t want to be a Sato attack dog for life. Both cousins are slightly homicidal about the other, often silently praying they come to harm when sent on a mission.

“They named me a girl, but they got a man!” - Himari

Himari is a young man born just a few years after Gojo Satoru. He attended Tokyo Jujutsu Technical School as a freshman a year after Geto left jujutsu society. He is a loud-mouthed, cocky very fit guy with an obsession for proving his masculinity. His parents had several sons, in an attempt to have a daughter. Himari was named as soon as he was conceived, as they hoped it would influence the sex of their child. Being the youngest brother, Himari would feel totally behind as a man if not for being the only sorcerer in his family.

Cursed Technique: Landslide

Himari’s cursed energy flows into solid matter and turns it into a manipulatable fluid. It returns to its normal state when his cursed energy is no longer enforcing it. The technique costs only the activation, once something is sliding all he has to do is keep his energy reinforcing it to manipulate it freely.

Often, he’ll use this to surf along concrete, swim up buildings, and lash at people with whips and tendrils of road, earth, or traffic sign. As a combatant, he’s heavily hand-to-hand oriented, often opting to propel himself towards danger and brawl with raw reinforcement. However, he’ll sometimes shift his position with his technique, or destabilize the opponent. One of his favorite moves is landsliding the ground beneath an opposing sorcerer, trapping their legs when the ground solidifies, and striking them constantly.

Modern Day Life

As a registered semi first grade, he participated in the parade of 1000 demons defense with competent results. A few years later, he continues to work as a sort of jujutsu coach, overseeing training in either school for routine workouts, enhancing base physicals, hand to hand combat practice, etc. He is a player, always finding women but never staying faithful (out of insecurity, though he’d tell you it’s because he’s a hunter). Not many sorcerers have great opinions of him, his students usually do until they become a bit more ingrained into jujutsu society and realize that Himari is not a strong confident man, but instead an insecure strong guy.

Megumi-scale

Himari would benefit greatly from several attainable, but unlikely, jujutsu improvements. Learning RCT is an obvious boon for a person in constant close combat. Learning RCE output would greatly improve his ability to train others. RCT might also help him acquire his reversal, which solidifies fluids like air or water. This expands his options in combat, but also would allow him to Landslide these previously un-targetable substances. He’d never attain a domain expansion, it’s not something he has the skills and discipline for—maybe if he were a true hardworker and much older—but his domain is a chaotic slurry of flowing seas of concrete and mud without solid land besides the constant cursed energy-filled obstacles along the torrents’ paths. Current level is above Shibuya Yuji and below Kuskabe, max potential is around EOS Choso.

Near the end of the season, Dash gives champagne to Nolan/Bailey as a thank you. Ain’t the boy 18? Giving alcohol to his cop buddy? How’d lil’ homie get the alcohol? Buying it himself (i.e., having a fake ID—CRIME—or going to a store that doesn’t card—CRIME ON THEIR BEHALF) or having someone old enough buy it for him (i.e. ANOTHER CRIME)! 🤯🫨

A cursed technique designed to act as a curse upon the user. When the user’s technique is active, their energy flares and moves like tendrils of smoke, forming a black aura, which draws anything with cursed energy into the darkness (siphoning from tools until absorbing them wholly, dragging bodies/spirits inside, devouring barriers, etc.). Any spirit, person, or cursed tool wholly absorbed by the void leaves an imprint. This imprint is an audible aspect of the entity that was absorbed. The more the technique absorbs, the more clamorous the void becomes.

Absorbing a person or spirit leaves the void with a single phrase or word representing something salient about them (final thought, greatest regret, feelings about the user, etc.). It is common for phrases like “I hate you/I love you” to repeat in the void, lone and without the context of who it is targeted at. These whispers are audible to anyone nearby when the technique is active, but audible to the user any time they apply their cursed energy at all (for reinforcement, pure ce output, etc.).

There is a domain expansion and reversal designed for this technique, but this is the basics! It was designed for an OC who accidentally absorbs people in his village when first discovering his technique.
