I've been thinking about this for a while, and I genuinely can't think of a single event, action, or decision that is simply good or bad. It seems like everything has trade-offs. Something terrible can lead to personal growth, scientific progress, or societal change, while something wonderful can have unintended consequences or come at someone else's expense.

I'm not saying the positives and negatives are always equal, or that we should celebrate bad things because "something good came from them." My view is simply that every outcome has both positive and negative effects if you look broadly enough.

I'm interested in hearing examples that genuinely break this pattern. What is something that is truly all positive or all negative, with no meaningful trade-offs?
