Where can I pre-order 30th anniversary ETB’s?

I collected when Pokemon first came out and just recently got back into it because of my children (thanks kids!). I’d love to pre order some 30th anniversary stuff but not sure where is good, legit, and has anything available.

Tell me things I don’t know! [spoiler]

Relatively new to the game. Have rebuilt the Pokémon Center in Withered Wasteland and Bleak Beach. Have just got the dlc. Mostly just playing casually, discovering Pokémon, and smashing blocks up to make things tidier. Give me some tips, tricks or things I don’t know - maybe just QoL ideas that I probably don’t know about! Thank you 😊

Is it worth grading this?

My son pulled this today (he’s 7). Only just getting back into Pokémon since the cards were first released in 1999 and I was 11 years old 😭 no idea if something like this is worth grading?

Help me to keep these alive!

I’ve always grown herbs and a few bits and bobs, because I have kids and cats, but now I’m finding such joy in buying plants and flowers and growing things.

I have PTSD, and I’ve taken some time out from work to try and just be at peace, and the garden is so therapeutic. I’d really like to get into gardening with the limited space I have, but I need some more knowledge as to how to keep things alive.

Things I’ve done with what I’ve planted so far:

- lined the bottom of pots with rubble, broken pots, bits of cardboard
- ensured there are holes at the bottom of the pots
- bought some fish, blood and bone
- watering from a distance when it’s cooler
- bought some ladybird larvae (x100) to keep aphids and caterpillars at bay

Any help, tips, advice would be really welcome! Thank you.

Found these in a ziplock bag in my house

I haven’t collected Pokémon cards for probably 25 years, but now the kids have just started, and I found these in a bag in my house. Fake? Real? Any good? Thanks!

Advice on 7yo bedtime routine

My son is 7, 8 in November. He has an autism diagnosis, as well as dyspraxia, hyper mobility, and stutters (in case any of that is relevant). Bed time used to be pretty good, but it’s taking around an hour longer than it used to for him to fall asleep now.

Our routine is:
- bath at 6:30pm
- quiet play between 7-7:30pm
- brush teeth at 7:30pm
- story in bed
- then he usually watches something for around 15 mins as he finds it helps him feel relaxed
- go to the toilet
- tuck in and say goodnight
- check back in every 5 mins (as he says he gets scared)

Really I’d like to eliminate the watching something part altogether but also want to be conscious of finding something that helps him relax. Welcome to any ideas, things I could potentially buy if needed, etc.

He does not like audiobooks in the slightest - we used to have a Tonies box and he never used it.

Where can I park for Metallica tomorrow?

Helloooo! 🤘 Coming from Gloucester to Cardiff tomorrow for the Metallica gig at Principality Stadium. So going home M4 Eastbound. Where would be the best place to park for a reasonably quick and easy exit afterwards, please? Not staying over, so will be heading back to Glos straight after. Happy to walk up to 20 mins or so. Any recommendations would be much appreciated. Thank you 😊

Sertraline for PTSD feeling so weird

I’m in the UK. I’m only on day 5. I was prescribed 50mg of sertraline but I have cut the doses in half to 25mg.

Symptoms before starting are all related to PTSD, with OCD symptoms (having to do certain routines, checking things over and over), as well as general anxiety, checking doors are locked, switches are off, etc., as well as horrible nightmares.

It’s hard to describe what I’m feeling. I don’t really have any mood issues because my symptoms are from complex PTSD. But after day 5, I’m feeling a bit of insomnia at bed time, kind of like my throat is closing up, my skin feels like it’s crawling, and I feel quite agitated. It’s like my whole face is clenching. My tastebuds have also changed and I feel constantly thirsty, my mouth feels permanently dry.

Are these things normal? I really want to quit taking them! I’ve taken anxiety meds in the past like Prozac, Citalopram and Buspirone and they all sucked really badly, made me feel numb, which I don’t want.

[UK] longstanding leak, landlord not taking action

Longstanding leak, reported 13th May, no action from landlord

England. I’m posting on behalf of a family member who I’m trying to help.

\*\*Incident\*\*
Reported a leak coming through the wall on 13th May, landlord came to check it; pushed the ceiling above and made a hole (presumably to see if he could let any water out).

Plumber who came to assess said the leak could have been happening for years, slowly dripping down. Very damp in the wall crevice and cavity.

Private landlord, rolling monthly contract, two month notice period

Family member has two children; one age 11, one age 7. I really want to help her, so I’m seeking advice on what she can do next. The WhatsApp messages show that nothing has been done as of yet, other than the leak being ‘fixed’. This doesn’t seem to be a safe space to live in with children.

Any actionable and practical advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you 🙏🏻

Side note: I had a burst pipe yesterday in my owned property; I called my insurance company, they had someone come out within 4 hours, then today the surveyor assessed the damage and reported back to the home insurance company to arrange repairs.

Out of court disposal namely conditional caution

Following a VRR, I have been informed that an out of court disposal, namely a conditional caution, will be issued. Generally, how long does this take? Will I be informed when the caution is made to the perpetrator? Does it go on his ‘record’? Any information would be gratefully received.

Reaching museum level 25 on memento mile

I’ve gone back to my Memento Mile museum. It’s at 2 stars, and I have been putting hours into it. I’ve decided not to expand and instead am focusing on:

- Getting all staff with open training slots trained up with new skills
- Ensuring all dinosaur exhibits are complete ( done ✅)
- Ensuring all exhibits in botany, amber, and frozen are pristine and have full knowledge points

My level has only progressed from 21/25 to 22/25 in about 3 hours of play. Any tips/tricks or ideas to help push that museum level up would be much appreciated! Thank you 😊

Is there a home printer for lots of black and white documents?

I’m looking for the best value home printer that simply prints in black and white. I have no need for scanning or copying, and it needs to be a printer that can print high volume (at the best cost), though speed is not a factor, as this will be a long time project.

Essentially, printing a lot of legal documentation, but over time.

I’d also need to be able to order replacement cartridges for ink on Amazon UK. Thanks!

Psychiatry UK private PTSD assessment

Does anyone know if the PTSD assessment (£360) via Psychiatry UK includes a formal diagnosis? If so, is this recognised by the NHS?

Can a crime of voyeurism be dismissed because of remorse?

I reported a voyeurism crime against me last year, and after investigation, and the offender being placed on bail, bail conditions were dropped and so was the crime, on the basis that the detective sergeant said “[name] provided a defence to the voyeurism charges, and the screenshot of admission/apology proves that this was deleted immediately and that he shown remorse/disgust for the action which can be argued against the point of gathering for sexual gratification, thus voiding a charge of voyeurism.”

As a victim, I feel like this is a real stab in the guys. Someone did this to me, someone that I trusted; it makes you wonder why people don’t report things!

I have sent a complaint through the victims right to review, as only one device was looked at during the investigation.

Tell me everything I need to know about Arty-Facts

Been playing the game for a few weeks now, but just started Arty Facts. Tell me everything I need to know about the DLC, please 😊 e.g. traits to look for in experts, what I should avoid, and so on. I can see lots of the experts have different emotions, things that can happen when they create art, and so on.

I don’t get an awful lot of time to play as I’m a full time parent, but an hour or so in the evening!

Does magnesium help with restful sleep?

I heard that magnesium can help promote more restful sleep. I have quite bad anxiety and a lot of general stress in my life, so my sleep tends to be quite broken and certainly not restful. I have a lot of anxiety dreams and often fall back into the same dream once I’ve woken up to go to the toilet and gone back to bed. I’ve taken these for 3 nights, and I know I probably need to give it longer, but my dreams have been worse since taking them (I take them around an hour before bed).

I am desperate for some restful sleep. Based in the UK if that’s of any relevance! Thank you 😴

What’s a good holiday destination up to 2.5 hours from UK ideal for kids?

For a family of 7, with 2 kids, what’s an ideal holiday destination with great beaches for July time? Is it better to do apartment complex or all inclusive? Maybe somewhere that isn’t the typical well-known destinations in France and Spain, but somewhere lovely with sandy beaches.

Edit: keen on a beach holiday, unlikely to want a cultural/walking trip, just peaceful, beaches, and that’s about it!
