Iranian schools before Islamic revolution… before they forced girls as young as 6 to cover themselves from head to feet…

Iran’s last win was June 2026 vs Mail in a friendly! Iran’s last competitive match win was June 2025 vs North Korea (WC qualifiers) ... I don’t get how we are so favoured by FIFA when it comes to fifa ranking… all of these teams below us from 24th-40th on paper are way better than us! Even based of most recent performance which matters most for FIFA rankings … we lost both friendlies 3-1 vs Uzbekistan (ranked 59!) and Russia 2-0 (ranked 35th!)

Bias aside where do you think this current Iran be ranked?

For me hands down Ashkan Dejagah (not even close) (he joined team meli at the age of 25 in 2012) but if we had him for the World Cup 2010 cycle we would have easily qualified… think about having Nekounam, M Shojae, Dejagah all in their prime together dam 🔥 what we missed out on…

Some people speculate the regime was trying to bypass sanctions and get oil out of Iran! To sell it behind the scenes and by coincidence a couple of the oil trucks exploded today as the driver captures pics and video (which can be found on DEJ news insta page)

If it wasn’t for Ramin.R playing like his life dependent on it back at the World Cup… we would have also lost to New Zealand and Egypt… Amir G , and the entire federation needs a reform (which probably won’t happen) our great star players of the past like Sardar, Taremi etc are so past their prime.. Allahyar and Javad not getting called up anytime soon… our U23 players would probably put a better display than this but not by much as even they are doing poorly lately… it’s not looking good for us on and off the pitch…

Some people pointed out that he supports Reza Pahlavi because he liked a few of his posts. He has never publicly supported him, as he doesn’t want to risk his life potentially (we all know how Islamic Republic regime is!)

Who would have guessed the most patriotic Team meli player would be the one with the most Islamic name!

If a fairly unknown goalkeeper in Iran (with all due respect to Nima) can land a European move… I can’t see why so many other better/more known Iranian players can’t land small European clubs! All they need is to accept lower pay and to get out of their comfort zone and it could pay off like Azmoun who started in the freezing Russia playing for Rubin Kazan. To my knowledge ONLY one Iranian jumped from Asia to a gigantic european club and that was Ali Karimi (from UAE to Bayern Munich!)

Anyone else notice Saman Fallah didn’t sing the national anthem yesterday? While the other’s did (except Dennis, he doesn’t even speak Farsi) but Fallah was mumbling/not singing . He did good yesterday (he played the first 45min only which the team conceded 1 goal and that was a huge error by the experienced Hajsafi). IF Saman Fallah gets benched next game we will probably know why…

Leave football before football leaves you… who would have guessed Ehsan Hajsafi could be the FIRST Iranian player in history to PLAY AT 6 WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS. He played the 2010,2014,2018,2022,2026 qualifiers and with Amir G at the realm.. it looks like he will play at least a few games for the 2030 qualifiers..

Just sad… we all know even if we lose vs Russia next week.. this corrupt federation still won’t sack AmirG… The team was awful! Don't know how we go from conceding 0 past Belgium to 3 against Uzbekistan. I know it’s a friendly but both sides had a lot of their regular starters!

The best day in most of our (Iranian) lives when we thought it was over for the regime as the news broke out the US, Isreal have attacked and taken out the Ayatollah and his inner circle… look how joyful these school kids are thanking Trump… and you had these non Iranian pos hating the Iranian diaspora for celebrating when almost everyone in Iran was celebrating! who would have guessed US and Israel would later on back out and quit when they were literally winning....

Hopefully he STARTS the friendly matches next week against Uzbekistan, so we can see if he’s good or not with Team Meli!
