How realistic is US visa sponsorship for European nurses these days?

Hi everyone,

I’m a Hungarian nursing student and I’m trying to realistically understand my chances of getting a U.S. work visa as a nurse in the future.

My current plan is to finish nursing school in Europe, work 1–2 years in med-surg to gain experience, and then start applying to hospitals/agencies in the U.S.

I’d also love to hear from:

- European nurses who successfully moved to the U.S.

- Recruiters or managers familiar with sponsorship

- Anyone currently going through the process

I’m mainly trying to figure out whether this is a genuinely achievable goal or something that’s becoming much harder nowadays.

I also know there can be differences between European and U.S. nursing education. From what I’ve read, this seems to affect UK-trained nurses only because UK nursing degrees are more specialized (adult nursing, mental health nursing, children’s nursing, etc.), but Hungarian nursing schools are much more similar to the U.S. ones. I also know that it involves credential evaluation, NCLEX, etc.

Thanks in advance!

Can we start a petition to ALWAYS have the cast names shown during the BGW confessionals?

They only show their names once in the confessionals, and these are newbies. Lots of them. Like, it takes a lot to learn all of their names smh, so at least help us by showing their names in the confessionals throughout the episode. Why is that so hard?

27 [M4M] Slovakia, Europe, moving to the U.S.

I’m a 27-year-old guy from Central Europe, but I’ll be moving to the U.S. once I graduate pharmacy school.

I’ve got lots of hobbies! I’m mainly a bookworm (love horror books even though I’m the biggest scaredy cat you’ll ever come across lol!), movies/tv shows, crocheting, long walks/hikes, wanting to get into swimming more. I’m into linguistics (I speak five languages fluently.)

I’m just looking for a guy who’s kind, funny, preferably tall (YOU have to be the big spoon lol!), but honestly, I’m ready to talk to anyone and see what comes of it.

Hit me up!

E-2 visa — how hard is it to obtain, and is €250K enough?

Hi everyone,

I’m from Ireland and currently working as a pharmacist (not looking to work in this field in the U.S.). I’m looking into the E-2 Treaty Investor visa and trying to understand how realistic it is.

I’ve read that there’s no fixed minimum investment, but I keep seeing different ranges mentioned online and it’s a bit confusing.

My main questions are:

- How hard is it in reality to get an E-2 visa approved?

- Would an investment of around €250,000 generally be considered enough for a strong case?

- What types of businesses are usually the safest/most successful for E-2 applicants?

I understand the investment has to be “substantial” and the business can’t be passive. I’d be actively involved in running it.

Just trying to get a realistic idea before I consider anything seriously.

Any advice or personal experiences would be really appreciated.

Have Erika and Kathy ever addressed what Erika said about her?

Do y’all remember the reunion when Erika alleged that Kathy was throwing around the gay slur? As a gay guy, this didn’t go over my head, but it seems like it went over their heads. Why was it never brought up again?

This is what I hate the most about Erika

She always acts like whatever she’s about to say is incredibly important. The facial expressions, the tone of her voice, everything about her makes it seem like her next sentence is going to be groundbreaking. You know who that reminds me of?

Bethenny.

I seriously despise these kinds of people.

This is the most disgusting thing Suleiman did to Hürrem

It's not cheating on her with different women. It's not making her leave the palace.

It's making her drink something thinking it was poison. I can't even BEGIN to imagine how she loved him after that. Like...the writers really sat down and were like "what's THE MOST disgusting thing he could do to her?"

One of the most horrible forms of psychological torture I’ve seen.

I’m European, currently in my third year of pharmacy school (it’s a five-year program). Pharmacy here is an integrated master’s degree, meaning that once you finish high school, you can immediately start the program, and you’ll end with a master’s degree without ever doing a bachelor’s because it’s “integrated” in a way.

Anyway, I would love to start applying to PhD programs in pharmaceutical science once I’m done with pharmacy school. I currently have a 3.6 GPA, and I have a lab work internship lined up for the summer.

Thank you in advance for your comments and suggestions.

Edit: I’d be pursuing my PhD in the U.S.
