Long story short I have a relative who was seemingly given away at birth as he appears with a random family in Birmingham UK, I paid for the GRO image of his birth and it shows his mother but no father

Her name and surname annoyingly could be spelled at least 3 different ways and I have tried wild carding them and looking for her birth, marriage, even death, census records, nothing can't find even a whiff of her anywhere and it's driving me insane

It's not even that long ago he would have been born in 1890, I had less pain going back to early 1600s for another branch but this is a hard dead end 😭

I have ordered a DNA test kit as a bit of fun to see who pops up and I'm really hoping someone around Birmingham will pop up with a surname like hers to narrow it down but, failing that what else can I potentially do? I enjoy looking up relatives but so far I've not had one just vanish into nothing barely 100 years ago

Got mine today, just wondering what settings are good as I'm new to DD and so far feels a bit like driving a bus after coming from 2nm lol

I know in previous threads that people said the trueforce for this game wasn't great and to turn it off, unsure if this has changed or if this should be on etc help appreciated!

So still kinda new, 3 weeks in seen that there is a 4h race special event this week that is for a team, on the official discord the find a team bit seems to be for big teams at first glance?

Is there a better way to find a smaller close knit team? I'd rather have some regular people to play with for team events than potentially be #1942 or something equally comical 😅

Was in a practice where a guy would go off track cut in front of you to come back on and then weave to block you overtaking, when I finally did get by he then just took me out

As I was typing out some choice words because it was very deliberate and dangerous of him to even get behind a wheel I look at the replay and he isn't in it

He also isn't in the lobby, did he get scrubbed clean?

Like I've only done 2 1h races so far but in both I've already noticed that some hypercar drivers are only missing a blue light and siren

So many of them want you to basically pull over in the middle of a corner and let them go rather than them just overtake in like 2 seconds when the straight section comes along

They don't really give me a choice either because they want the same line as me, I've had to go a tiny bit off track many times already just because I would rather not end up in a wall 🤣

Some hyper drivers are ok, they wait for the straight, but there's a few in each race when I see them coming I know they won't wait or will very narrowly miss me, but I feel like they want me to pull over because they have the big vroom vroom car and taking any other line would cost them like .2 of a second

Loading the players and the car icons is that taxing?? 🤣

It just crashed my game trying to load a weekly race with 200 people registered, 9800X3D and 5080 too weak 🥲

I dunno what they changed if anything, but it was working fine without waiting 10s for it to load or crash

Got kicked out for some reason, can't get back in :/

Anyone else? or anyone know a fix?

Edit: after a long period of waiting just says cant connect to server... bruh I waited 2h for this race 🥲

So I finally can do the 1h weekly races, just wondering if anyone has tips for these races as obviously you will need to pit

Do people usually drive slightly slower to save tires or is it a case of sometimes quick, sometimes slow

I'm new to sim racing so, all new to me 🥲
