I can’t believe how much they have ruined the game with Season 5. The menus on PS5 are so laggy, texture issues all over the game, from operators, to weapons, to maps. My game froze 3 times during a match today for around 10-15 seconds each time. They ruined matchmaking, they introduced new audio bugs.

Is this typical of Call of Duty now? They intentionally ruin their games around Season 5 so people will go and buy the next one? I am sure instead of fixing these bugs with Season 5 Reloaded, they are gonna introduce even more.

I am so sad because up to Season 4, Black Ops 7 was my favourite CoD game of the last decade. I was praising it all throughout the year.

Since the launch of the PS4 in 2013, there hasn’t really been another classic Call of Duty game besides WWII.

All CoD games released since then have featured mechanics such as exosuits, jetpacks, wall running, wall jumping, sliding, specialists, or more recently, omnimovement.

WWII is the only Call of Duty from the PS4 and PS5 era that truly sticks to the classic formula, with traditional movement and no sliding, jetpacks, specialists, or other advanced movement mechanics.

So, for someone who loved the classic Black Ops and Black Ops II games and wants something similar to play with a native PS4 version, WWII is the closest you can get to that old-school Call of Duty experience.

The game is enhanced for PS4 Pro and Xbox One X and runs at a locked 2640×2160 on PS5 and native 4K on Series X

This was one of my favourite CoD games. I played it a lot up until around 2020-2021, and I recently decided to revisit it. It’s still every bit as good as I remember.

The graphics have held up incredibly well, and the game still looks beautiful. The gunplay feels great, the movement is smooth, and it has that classic CoD feel, similar to Black Ops 2, which everyone seems to love nowadays.

The maps are beautiful, fun to play, and well-balanced. I absolutely love this game!

After many patches over the years, is the game worth it now? It goes for 11.99€, any advice will be welcome.

Do you agree? The ending of this movie is so damn good. From the moment Batman takes the bomb to save Gotham all the way to the scene where he reveals himself to Alfred, every part of that sequence is so damn good.

The issue isn’t as significant as the map voting bug from Season 4, but since this season’s update I’ve noticed that the grenade cooking sound is missing when you quickly throw a grenade or tactical. For example, Semtex, Frag Grenades, and Flashbangs no longer play the usual click or beep sound when thrown quickly.

If you hold the throw button, let the grenade cook for a moment, and then throw it, the cooking sound plays normally. However, if you quickly tap R1 or RB to throw it immediately, the cooking sound is completely muted.

It’s a minor bug, but it’s still pretty annoying for me.

Guys, I’m not saying these games are bad. They were incredible when they came out, and they still hold up today. Anyone can jump in and have a great time playing them. But saying they’re better than modern Call of Duty games is something I simply can’t agree with.

Take Black Ops Cold War and Black Ops 7, for example, which are my favorite Call of Duty games of the PS5 and Xbox Series X era. Why would you say that Black Ops or Black Ops II are better than those games? What exactly do they do better?

The movement in the older games feels much more restricted. I feel glued to the ground. The gunplay isn’t as satisfying, and by today’s standards, the graphics are outdated. The animations aren’t as smooth, the hit detection is less consistent, there’s more input lag, and the netcode is also worse.

There is no FOV slider, no 120fps, less options in the menu like HUD elements, audio, graphics etc.

Were Black Ops and Black Ops II all time great games in 2010 and 2012? Absolutely.
Do they still hold up and remain fun to play today? Absolutely.
Are they better than modern Call of Duty games? No.

Gunplay feels more satisfying, the reload animations are smoother in my opinion, the maps are better, the whole atmosphere feels way superior.

Anyone else feeling this?
