Over the last 50 years people have become so over the top with weddings. I know they have always been extravagant but throughout history it was either something the community played a huge role in and your efforts somewhat handled, or you had a humble wedding at home. Only if you were rich did you pick the perfect color scheme and buy all new table cloths and 50 different rentals…

But the whole process of people planning weddings that cost half of what they make in a year stretches the process so long. The venue, the perfect new dress, the musicians, the catering, the bar, the decorations. If you got engaged today, you’d probably be getting married in the last half of 2028. If you got engaged on this day in 1860, you’d be getting married this fall in your front yard under a pretty tree in the nicest clothes you own. Maybe some local people collected flowers for you.

It’s been more than 6 months and many of us still find TLOASG rushed. The production is very high quality and I think her collaborators did great with what they were given. But apart from a couple songs, they had an exhausted jet lagged Taylor saying odd things and writing hooks that don’t entirely make sense.

The press tour for that album served to show how much transformation has happened for Taylor. It feels like this summer or whatever projects are coming next are a big homecoming in her career to ground her image again. Yes, I do think Debut TV is coming this year. The same year she gets married to the rebound heard round the world and doubles her net worth.

How Taylor’s image works is whatever statement is made with an era needs to be balanced in the next.

I love I Knew It, I Knew You because it feels so familiar and I know with the way she has been writing recently that there is so much more where that came from. The cycle is back around to the point where it’s proving something different and that’s when it hits the most for me!

Im decent at masking especially at work. I’m much better at socializing when it’s transactional. Getting people what they need, answering their questions, having a clear purpose.

I don’t have a problem with masking. I’ve already accepted that socializing is going to feel like performing forever. But I’m just trying to become a pro so masking isn’t just exhausting, but it actually helps me fit in.

We have AI that can generate entire images from thin air and synthesize thousands of words in less than a minute, yet our actual devices can’t support ads that the website developer KNOWS will be there.

I clicked this article because the content actually sounds interesting but even when it’s REAL news, you get 3 sentences— fuzzy video ad in the middle of your screen making everything slower — 2 sentences and a photo — pop up ad with an X that takes 5 clicks — another banner ad. Your phone is frozen and you lost interest in knowing anything. Might as well just give up and believe whatever EASY TO ACCESS under-regulated lies your algorithm is feeding you.

Ads themselves I know will be there. But the fact that when you get them your device basically stops responding properly is crazy. IN THE SAME YEAR AI IS TAKING OVER JOBS

I think this has hurt literacy overall. We have these devices in our hand or on our desk at all times, yet so little real information to process. The newspaper is barely found but you also can’t read everything you SHOULD be informed on without paying $2.99 at least two different places.
