Narrow Work Boot recommendation

I currently have Keens and while they are comfy I feel like my feet have "too much" room in them and side to side do not have a lot of support. The toe box is great and roomy but I like to have more support in the mid foot. What are some narrower brands that I could try for my next boot purchase?

Am I over insured?

My wife and I are currently with progressive and may be looking at changing insurance providers in the coming year. Until then I am wondering if we are over insuring our vehicles, and wondering how to get a cheaper premium. I will link a picture of our policy coverages.

Family of 4 Used-New to Me suggestions

My wife and I are looking at getting me a bigger car next year and we’re also talking about trying for another kid. I currently have a Subaru Impreza, and with a single car seat it barely fits. What are some good, RELIABLE less than 5-6 year old cars that would work for us? Preferably under $30k

How do you afford it?

EDIT 1: Is it correct to assume that the RTF 8oz cans are actually insanely cheap for my situation? My son currently eats 28-32oz of mixed powder formula a day, and the 24 pack of 8oz can is $60 and should last a week if my math is correct. The "Value" size of powder lasts us 3 days and costs $62 at Walmart before any Similac Coupons

2-3 weeks ago my wife and I found out my son has a suspected CMPA. One day we found blood in his poop and without thinking we took a picture of the diaper and threw it away. The next day we took him to his PCP and she tested the diaper he had in the office that day, no blood. She did notice it had mucus in it and said it’s most likely a CMPA. We tried to get it covered by insurance and they denied our claim because we didn’t have a Guaiac test done. But at this point to get one done we’d have to essentially put our baby in discomfort/pain with a milk based formula. We’re currently looking at $120-$150 a week in formula. We make too much for WIC assistance, but not enough to be comfortable. How do people afford this?

Frigidaire Gallery Refrigerator

Noticing a couple things that are broken and/or off about my fridge. First the fridge side door does not close on its own when its half way open, and second the light on the water/ice dispenser built into the door doesn't had its light go out when ice is selected for the dispenser. Whats the process of replacing/fixing the bulb? For the door ive already made sure its leveled side to side and its higher in the front than in the back so gravity helps out. I noticed that the cam on the top is rubbing though when it opens? Does that mean its worn out? or is there another adjustment needed so it drops down and does not rub anymore?

Epoxy + Silicone for Undermounted Sink install? Or just Silicone?

So my undermounted sink decided it didnt want to hang anymore and it started to fall. It has clips underneath so its only sunk a little bit. I am looking to fix it this weekend but I am seeing conflicting info on the repair. Some people say just Silicone and clips on the edges will suffice, others say to also throw some epoxy and use the silicone as a water sealant. Which is it?

Similac Alimentum Baby Formula alternative

My wife and I just found out our 8 week old baby may have a milk/soy protein allergy the other day. His PCP recommended that we try Alimentum or the Enfamil version of Alimentum on a trial basis to rule out the allergy for the other symptoms hes experiencing. Looking at the can of Alimentum we got to try it, and the pace that hes feeding at this stage, we are looking at something like $250 a month just in formula. Is there an alternative brand that works the same before I ask his PCP?

Progressive Insurance rate hike after adding wife to policy.

So last year I added my wife to my auto insurance because after quoting it out we would be paying $600 less for the year with the same
Coverage that she was paying for just her car. Fast forward to my last renewal and my 6mo payment went from ~$660/6mo to $1052/6mo. Come to find out my wife was in a very minor fender bender in a parking lot at work. The other party had NO DAMAGE to the eir vehicle but insisted on getting it checked out and to our knowledge nothing was paid out for this claim. Am I within my rights to dispute the $400 rate increase or will they shoot me down?

PhoneLink + iPhone + USB Mic = No Calls

So I have been dealing with this issue for quite a while now, and I am at my whits end. The things I have tried I will list below, but I feel like I have scoured google for possible solutions to this issue and non have come up with a definite fix, or the instructions do not map onto what I am seeing 1:1.

I have done the following to troubleshoot:

  • Ensure windows has permission to use my Microphone. Settings > Privacy and Security > Microphone Toggled ON. PhoneLink does NOT show up in the list of apps to give permission to because as I understand it Windows does not consider it an app, its a process?
  • Confirming my USB Mic is my Default Input device. Sound Settings > Input Device > Device properties > Verify device is set to default. Double checked this by checking mmsys.cpl in the run window and looking through the recording tab mic settings
  • Uninstall PhoneLink and redownloading
  • Removing my iPhone from PhoneLink and re-pairing it, multiple times... Note the app still says there is an issue connecting to my phone when it starts up but looks like it goes away once everything continues loading.

I am not sure how relevant this is but I also have a pair of airpods that I have to toggle bluetooth on my phone to connect them EVERYTIME I want to use my airpods. It looks like my computer tries to constantly connect to my phone and wont disconnect when my airpods want to connect.

Is this something a DIY warrior can/should do?

The stand pipe is currently not vented and is where the previous owners put the dishwasher drain hose. I’m looking to remove the stand pipe all the way back to the tee. Is this something a DIY warrior can tackle? Also may look at replacing the accordion hose but I’m not sure that’s an easy fix as it’s an awkward spot.

Bought a house and this is what I have

LOCATION: Southern Maine

My wife and I bought our home almost 2 years ago and the lawn wasnt a big priority for us. We had some home projects to get done before hand. We’re now looking to the outside. I believe the previous owners had a pool here? I cant know. Regardless, whats the best plan of attack to fix the patchy spots of my lawn while not breaking the bank.

This is my current loan. We currently owe $373k and the home is "appraised" at $425k. I got a quote from someone here, and also a local credit union. The local credit union could only get me 6.75% with 0 points and 6.5% if i paid close to $10k in lender fees. Its a single family home and both my wife and I have a 780+ score. Whats a "good" rate so i know it when i see it

What car for first time parents

Hi, my wife and I are new parents as of April and within the next year we’re looking for a new used car. I currently have a Subaru Impreza so basically anything is bigger than that. We’re looking for something that can fit at least two car seats in the back comfortably. We’re also looking to transfer to my wife in the future. The idea of a used 2022 2023 Ford bronco four-door was appealing. What are people’s suggestions to narrow down the search?

BUDGET: 25-30K MAX

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have room for at least 2 car seats
  • good gas milage
  • 2020-2023 model year

Hey, my wife and I bought our home almost 3 years ago now and from the get go the previous homeowners said that the dishwasher was having issues. It is a Frigidaire gallery dishwasher and we get the i20 drain code. Question is this, is there something under the sink that is run incorrect that would cause this or should I be looking at replacing the dishwasher soon. If it’s not clear what pictures do I need to get?
