I found a head of a jumping spider on my bed (not a molt)

Despite having jumping spiders as pets before, this unsettled me tbh 😂 I laid down on a different side of my bed and I felt something poking me. I was like, "I just washed my bed sheets like four days ago and I haven't eaten on my bed", and after pulling the "crumb" out and inspecting what kind of bug it was, I finally figured out it was a jumping spider's head after using my phone camera

We have several jumping spiders in the house and I love them! Although I wasn't expecting this... I'm keeping it though. You can see the eyes, the chelicerae and the fangs! Fascinating!

Where can I post unfinished foods?

This is really silly, but I'm attempting to make the best pizza I can make (failed many times), and so far the dough is looking great and I'm proud of it haha, so I want to share it. Just the dough. Any subreddit for that?

Thank y'all! 😊

✨️Isopod heaven✨️

I put a dead cactus in their home when I first got my isopods, and I noticed they immediately started using the roots. Well, 38 days later, babies and several isopod species are thriving in the roots of the cactus 🥹 Thought I'd share!

BABIES!!

An update from this post, but I don't want to get my hopes high. Yes I did isolate them from the isopods, but there are several reasons they may not be the babies of the father. DUN DUN DUUUUUN!!!

Since I collected them on the 12th of April, there is a chance that they are baby isopods of a completely different father isopod that's probably not even the same specie, so we shall wait for a couple of weeks to see if they truly are the offspring of these specific two isopods! 🤞

I made a mini pizza!

I'm so proud of myself! I couldn't, for the life of me, find the sauce, and I was too lazy to go out so I used... the forbidden KETCHUP! You can taste the ketchup, but the seasonings really save the pizza, I'm genuinely enjoying this!

Enjoying food you make is such a rewarding feeling! 🤗

SHE'S SO ADORABLE I LOVE HER!!!

Lil' Pip is usually the one who never stays still whenever I take her out, so I got into the habit of only taking my snoots out whenever they want to, and I'm sticking with that. This one special occasion, on the other hand, I decided to take her out, and now we're both chilling together

I get this isn't bonding, but the pictures of her are so adorable regarding the context behind it, I just wanted to show y'all adorable piptures of the Pip 😭💕

Thought I'd share this interesting experience with y'all [dead rat pics]

I feed Mantequilla every Friday, but this time she went wild. As I was getting ready to set her rat on a plate, she stretched so wide she fell out of her enclosure along with her hide! Third slide shows how it was even possible. My snakes have... like... an inner balcony, you could say?

Girl fell out of her enclosure and was still in hunting mode, so when I picked her up while holding the rat on my other hand (on the plate), she struck at it! I could've handled the situation better by setting down the rat first; I was stressed out about Mantequilla falling out of her enclosure I didn't think twice :(

After she loosened up, I took a couple of pictures and put her away. Carrying a snake that was feasting was not something I'd ever imagine doing... But because of everything that happened, I gave her extra peace. I turned off the lights, I didn't have any dim lights this time, so I hope this event wasn't too stressful for her enough to regurgitate. Lesson learned, I will not have her door open when preparing her rat on the plate 🫩

I'd like to apologize to those who got worried on my last post. I went for a really stupid title. I was going for a vibe like those other posts that say silly mean things about their snakes like "shame him," "single brain celled", "she's very dumb, she fell off the bed", but titling it "choking my snake" or something like that was not the best idea, and was very immature of me

I don't have a copy paste of my last post's description, but the best I can summarize it is, I was petting her, and at some point I gently left my thumb on her head. I was not pressing down on her head, I wasn't choking her, and I wasn't doing it for a while because I'm aware that snakes don't actually like being pet, they just tolerate it. This was last year on October, I no longer touch my snakes' head, not even rarely (that doesn't mean I still shouldn't get criticized for doing it in the first place)

I apologize, I will not publicly make jokes about that sort of thing again 🙏

This is an old photo. I've shared it before, but it wasn't really visible unless you scrolled through the slides, so now I'm reposting it and this will be the first thing you see! Goofy snoot!

Their homes look so cute! The first one is for the isopods in general, just a regular home. The second one is to breed the white isopods. It'll have extra moss and a crap ton of leaf litter ´ ᗜ` Btw those are magnolia seed pods, not pinecones! They won't close up on the isopods c:

That is not a water dish, that's just for her to lay her head on! c:

She just ate yesterday and she, seemingly to me, wants more lol. She's a growing girl so I'm getting her a new hide! In the meantime, look at her and try to resist a boop 😤
