Context: I am currently in an aviation scholarship program at a university. In this, I am spending my entire summer studying and getting flight hours to get my US private pilots license. It is very prestigious and very challenging

My check ride (big scary practical test) is in 9 days, and I still need 9 hours of solo cross country flight to be able to qualify. I can't get those flight hours until I prove to my instructor that I'm capable. I'm so close, just need to get radio calls solid. I've gotten the most comfortable with the P-MENTOR (fave plane), but the alternator (makes engine go spin) fucking shat itself, so that means I'm forced to do my check ride with the P2010, which is my least favorite plane to fly for a bazillion reasons. SO, now I have to get comfortable on flying a plane I hate and be able to solo in it and be able to check ride in it and be able to do radio calls and somehow have enough brain space to review EVERYTHING ELSE.

I'm so genuinely scared that I'm not even going to have enough solo hours bc my instructor lost all faith in me. Even if I did make the solo requirement, now I gotta do the final exam in a plane I barely know!

This means so much to me, I've put so much effort but shitty things like planes breaking and instructors being unreliable is holding me back. I don't want to go home after this without my license. Everyone is counting on me to get it. Im counting on myself go get this for MY FUTURE.

I have so much on the line on this one test that I'm not prepared for. All because of dumb fucking luck.
