My 2004 3.2 has finally croaked. My daily driver for 4 years since I got her. The burning sun and deep snow and ice of Colorado - she was a champ! Went into limp mode on Friday night and three mechanic shops can only source a replacement mechatronic unit from Audi in Germany. She also needs both rear wheel bearing and hubs. Minimum repair cost of $6400. I can’t afford that and it’s more than the car’s worth. RIP old girl.

Noob question

Hello! I’m fascinated by all the stuff on this sub that people find. I’m still confused as to how you legally acquire ewaste! I see a lot of Target Bin finds - do you just go and raid the ewaste bins in your local Target? Is that allowed? Don’t the staff stop you? Where else can you get this stuff? Thanks and sorry for the dumb questions!

[2004 Mk1 3.2] Oil drain plug

Seems that the oil pan thread for the drain plug on my 2004 3.2 is flattening the thread of the oil drain plug and making it shiny. Am I screwed? Will a piggyback or oversized plug work? Thanks!
