21 and major balding

I'm 21 and have major balding already, I have been just going with a full shave for a while now but I am very insecure. The methods of getting hair back seem both expensive (I don't have health insurance cuz Murica) and very random if they work or not. I think the easiest path would be accepting myself as a bald woman but it's hard when I can't get hrt and don't feel like I have a "woman's body"

Any advice or thoughts? Thank you

Recommendations for bands similar to Away With Words?

I absolutely adore this EP they made, and I'm looking for more stuff like it. The extremely harsh vocals with heavy guitars mixed in with the more melodic sections/clean vocals is just 👌

Way to go directly to album sort on Snowsky Echo Mini?

So I want to listen directly via albums, but I noticed it always starts with "all songs" selected then you gotta scroll down. Is there an easier way to go straight to albums or is it just kinda like that? Thanks lol

/uj We make fun of a lot of Guitar YT, so who are some you genuinely like?

I'll go first with Uncle Stuart from Marin Music Center. His style and vibe make me feel like he genuinely is just having fun and wants to teach me something

Advice on hats?

Hey girls, so I have been curious about wearing hats lately and looking for advice. Rn I got a buzzcut and am maybe gonna try going full bald, and I don't mind my hair being like that but I think a hat could be cool too. I tend to wear mostly band t-shirts and some kinda jeans, generally wear dark colors and have a bit of a punk vibe, if that helps.

I know the most common are baseball caps but I just can't get it out of my head that they are gendered male. Especially when a style of them I often see is called "dad caps", it just irks me.

Any budget DAPs that also have viable buetooth?

I know bluetooth is compromised on DAPs, but I want to separate my music from my phone and when doing stuff like work I'd prefer bluetooth. The only problem is that for most of the budget DAPs (hiby r1, snowsky echo, etc) I have heard very bad reviews about their bluetooth constantly disconnecting or just not working. Does anyone have advice on this?

Anyone else jealous of those with smooth faces?

I feel like I was born extra wrong. Especially seeing cis guys with smooth faces and no beard shadow makes me so envious.

Need help choosing my first DAP

Hello! I can't decide on what I want my first DAP to be. I have looked mainly at the HiBy R1, the Snowsky Echo Mini, and the Innoasis Y1. Here are things I am looking for:

-Budget -Doesn't need insane storage or audio quality -I like physical and clicky buttons -Can be easily operated in a pocket -Preferably no wifi at all, bluetooth would be good to have

Thank you!

Why should I use an mp3 player instead of my phone?

I'm curious about this, why should someone use an mp3 player instead of their phone? Like, people mention owning music and not using streaming services, but you can also do that on a phone. I download music I buy from bandcamp and use an offline mp3 player app to listen to it.

I was wanting to get a separate mp3 player for a while but then I wondered if it'd be silly to have to carry my phome around and also carry a separate mp3 player in another pocket.

Not trying to sound rude but I am genuinely curious what people think about this.

Edit: people mentioned phone battery life but I've never run low on battery, and my phone has a 3.5mm jack. Maybe it's just not for me (even though I think a dap looks fun)

Advice to make a buzzcut feel "butch" and not "cis guy"?

Title basically. I think women with buzzcuts look fire but I'm struggling especially since I can't seem to get rid of beard shadow on my face. Thanks.

How to use vocaloid or utua software along with a DAW like Reaper?

So, for clarification, I am very new to music production. So far I enjoy using the DAW Reaper to record my guitar parts. I was interested in learning how to use vocaloid or other voice synthesizers so that I could add lyrics to make rock vocaloid songs, but I'm a bit confused how I could combine them with my guitar recording. Does anyone know how this works? Thank you!

How to record separate mic and guitar inputs at the same time?

So I don't have a technical audio interface, I'm using a Mustang LT25 amp which has basically a "built-in" interface that plugs into my computer. I can record the guitar by itself just fine in Reaper and it sounds great. However, I want to know if there's in any way to also record a separate microphone so that I can play and sing at the same time? Or do I need to outright buy an entire separate interface to be able to do that?

Thank you.

Using the Mustang LT25 amp in DAWs, can't turn up volume high enough

So the Mustang LT25 is a guitar amp that has a built in audio interface. I can get it to connect to my PC just fine and it even shows up in DAWs like Reaper. However, the problem I'm having is that I simply cannot get it loud enough for some reason. The best I've been able to do is crank up the gain and volume to max and even then it's only reaching -30 db in Reaper. My guitar volume and gain are also at max. Any advice for this? Thank you!

Using Mustang LT25 on DAWs? Can't change volume

So the Mustang LT25 amp works on DAWs as it basically has a built in audio interface. The problem I'm facing is that I can't seem to turn up the volume that the amp is transmitting - turning up the volume knob or just making the amp louder in any way doesn't increase the volume that the DAW recieves, it's still way too quiet. I am trying to use Reaper specifically.

Moondrop Chu 2 one side quieter than the other

I noticed recently that my Moondrop Chu 2 which I've had for just a few months have gotten significantly quieter on the right side, like to the point that it sounds like everything is happening in my left ear. I've seen people saying you can "suck the air out" but I genuinely can't tell if that's a shitpost or not and what they mean by it. Any help?

Instrumental punk bands?

Hey, I was looking for instrumental bands within the punk hemisphere. I absolutely love math rock inspired stuff. My fav band is Hail the Sun, which is a post-hardcore bands with lots of math rock influence. Thank you!

Under 100$ earbuds with noise cancelation and awareness modes?

So I need noise cancellation but would also love to have an "aware" mode for when I am at work and need to be able to hear people. I have an Android phone. Any recommendations?

I listen to mostly punk rock genres, and I hate bass that is too loud (common in cheap earbuds). I care mostly about longevity and charge time along with the noise cancelling/aware modes.

Thank you!
