Does Elsa have the potential to solo carry a game?

Like I said, characters such as BP for low elo or Black Cat for high elo (Magik as well) can solo carry because they don’t really need their team to be relevant. They’re the kind of characters where, if the player is good enough, the enemy team has to specifically run characters that counter them just to have a chance of winning.

Technically, you can with Elsa carry with the flank route, but I don’t think it’s nearly as effective as playing an actual flanker/dive character. Especially because if the enemy starts diving your backline, you can’t really afford to keep flanking, since usually nobody on your team is playing anti dive or providing proper peel. (And if the team try to hard target you, with flanking routes, I think you have to switch Elsa)

In my opinion, Elsa is OP, but she’s very team dependent. A lot depends on your team’s positioning and whether they understand how Healer can play around your traps.

I love games where I set up a trap specifically to prevent the enemy from reaching the healer, but the healer does everything except walk into the trap, or nobody tries to focus the diver with me lol

Basically, if you’re running a solo tank comp, don’t pick Elsa (even worse if they run 2 tank shield). She needs to stay relatively close to the tanks to put pressure on the frontline.

Some of the games where I’ve massively overperformed were also games where my team was simply much better. They stayed grouped, had a better composition, positioned around the backline, and actually played around my traps..

And I think that’s exactly why Elsa is one of the strongest characters in pro play. Pro players naturally play much more around their team and understand how to maximize what a character like Elsa can do.

In classic ranked, it’s more like a battle royale where everyone just runs in and tries to 1v6.

Low Elo Hell Is Actually Insane (Is It Just Me, or Is Matchmaking Completely Rigged Recently?)

I’ve always been around GM as a main healer throughout the different seasons. Since around Season 7, I’ve wanted to play more main DPS so I could flex in situations where we already have a lot of main healers, which ironically happens pretty often.

I was able to stay GM fairly easily even while playing DPS, but in Season 9, I unfortunately fell into low elo hell.

The placement games are completely rigged, by the way.

I know that being hard stuck usually means you’ve reached your peak, but I really feel like the matchmaking doesn’t help, especially because of how frequently I run into situations like these:

• Celestial and above plays their smurf account and completely destroying games with 50 final hits, while the enemy team isn’t even particularly good.

• People who throw because of their ego. We lose one round, the MVP of the team gets upset and decides to throw the entire game.

• People who throw without telling you why, then explain their reason only after the game is over.

• People who throw conditionally: “If you play [character], I’m throwing.”

• People who throw for absolutely no reason. We win a round easily and then suddenly decide to throw, or have a “magical disconnect.”

• People who throw after an argument in chat.

• People who throw just to troll. I had a “Bruce Banner” main who literally refused to turn into Hulk for the entire game.

I had 4 game in a row with one thrower, I don't know how this is even possible

• People who refuse to counter-swap. For example, playing White Fox into Punisher and never switching. (If some people swap the game will be win)

• DPS players who refuse to swap after performing badly. As a result, I end up being the only effective DPS most of the time, sometimes having the same number of final hits as the enemy team, or even twice as many.

• People who learn a character directly in ranked. I had a game where someone insta-picked Elsa while still learning the character. We ended up winning because one of the enemies mysteriously disconnected, so it basically became a 5v5.

• People cheating even in low elo. Yesterday, I got the usual message saying that someone had been caught cheating, the game had been cancelled, and the player had been punished. So apparently even low elo isn’t safe from cheaters.

And there are still plenty of other problems that are specific to low elo, which is completely normal. However, I feel like the issues I mentioned are extremely common compared to what you encounter in higher elos.

At first, I thought it wasn’t a big deal and that I would climb back up very easily. What’s actually pretty funny is that I meet a lot of people who are also experiencing low elo hell. Because of that, some games can actually feel like they’re at a GM level, while others feel like a complete lottery.

Also, at first I was very skeptical about this technique, but it actually works. If you lose 3 games in a row, please play a Quick Play game or simply take a short break and disconnect for a while. When you come back, you’ll eventually start getting much more balanced games again.

Is there a specific combo to kill someone trapped ?

Yes, I might sound crazy with this take, but ever since the Dino Trap nerf, I’ve been struggling to kill divers as consistently as I used to — mainly because I’m usually the only one on my team actually dealing with the dive.

Now that the trap duration has been nerfed, I can’t reliably kill a diver every time they get caught. Is there a specific combo or follow-up that I should be using to punish or finish them off?

I mostly struggle against Spider-Man (Venom Team-Up), Magik, and Iron Fist

The main issue I’m having is that, because the trap duration is shorter, they usually get caught right as they’re dashing. Since they keep moving slightly while trapped, I have a much harder time landing a clean headshot and killing them before the trap ends.

Am I missing a specific combo or timing that makes these matchups easier? Or is the idea now to use the trap more for peeling/CC and rely on a different follow-up to actually secure the kill?

Is there a specific combo to kill someone trapped ?

Now that the trap has been nerfed, I can't efficiently kill a diver every time like before. Is there a specific combo to punish or destroy a diver? I mostly struggle against Spidey (Venom Team-up), Magik, and Iron Fist.

I think it's mainly because my team doesn't watch my back, and I'm the only one tracking the diver.

Now that we see they modified the portal of Magik's newest skins, can they modify the portal of old skins (Millennial, Disco, Soulless Sword)?

In the trailer, we see that Darchild's TP has its effect modified. I assume that this Magik skin will have its TP effect modified. Please, NetEase, add the TP effect for old skins too. On top of that, all their TP effects are in their intro animation. It will add so much to these skins.

We See in the past and even now (Lady Loki) that can modify some of the animation for a legitimate reason, and I think that it is a reasonable reason.

Lost 44 lbs (20 kg), but still struggling with belly fat & hair thinning

Hi everyone!

I’m a 22-year-old woman with PCOS. I’ve lost around 44 lbs (20 kg), partly thanks to Wegovy, and I currently go to the gym 2–3 times a week.

I’ve also switched to a healthier diet, with more protein and fewer carbs, and I genuinely really enjoy it! Well… except when I’m on vacation lol.

I recently started taking myo-inositol + D-chiro-inositol (2,050 mg per day) from SM Nutrition. I’m also taking Alyssa 21 birth control, which was recommended by my doctor.

I think my two biggest issues are:

Belly fat

Most of my remaining fat is mainly around my stomach. Going to the gym has made a huge difference though — I’ve developed more definition in my shoulders and arms, and my legs and glutes are much more toned as well.

Do you have any tips or ways to optimize fat loss specifically around the belly? Or somehow “transfer” it somewhere else, lol?

Hair thinning

I’ve also noticed that my scalp/hair has become thinner, which I assume is related to PCOS, although I haven’t been tested for it specifically (and I don’t really plan to).

Are there any ways or product to improve hair density without using minoxidil? I have pets, so I’d rather avoid having it around, and I’m also worried about it potentially causing unwanted facial/body hair. I also have a very sensitive scalp, and some products make my scalp very itchy and red.

Since my PCOS seems to be better managed and I’ve lost weight, I feel like the thinning has improved slightly, but I’d really love to regain some density.

My hair looks pretty good for about 2 hours after styling it, but then it’s basically a disaster as soon as there’s any sweating around my scalp, rain, etc.

If anyone with PCOS has dealt with similar issues, I’d really appreciate any advice, tips, or things that have worked for you!

Pourquoi autant de Québécois vont-ils chaque année à Old Orchard Beach ? ( Maine)

How do you counter/deal with an ultra-defensive comp/turtle comp

By Turtle comp, I mean:

2 shield tanks

2 poke backline DPS (Hela, SG/Namor) or brawl DPS (Bucky, Star-Lord/Elsa)

2 healers

So basically, no dive at all. It's a team that plays very safely and never overextends.

If I play the main angle and only shoot the tanks, the healers can freely keep them alive. Since both tanks constantly spam their shields, most of my damage goes into the shields, so I can't build my gauge efficiently. Moreover DPS will either all focus me or constantly try to pressure and disrupt me (for example, Squirrel Girl or Hela), making it even harder to get value.

If I try to take an off-angle or dive, everyone immediately focuses me because I'm the only one doing it. Let's assume I don't have a dive tank or anyone to follow me, and my team is also playing full poke.

And my gauge is low or not complete because I played main path with tanks

In this situation, I equip the DP Team-Up because I feel like Dino is useless here. Sure, I can reach or pressure their backline, but the healers will just keep each other alive, and I'll get punished for overextending before I can build enough gauge.

So, how do you handle this kind of matchup with Elsa?

Usually, I switch to a dive hero and destroy their backline, but I want to know if Elsa is actually effective against this type of comp. If she is, what's the correct way to play her? I'd really like to make Elsa work in this scenario.

First Time Visiting Maine (Old Orchard Beach) & the USA – Looking for Must-See Spots, Hidden Gems, and Food Recommendations!

Hi everyone,

This will be my first time visiting Maine more specifically Old Orchard Beach and also my very first trip to the United States!

My girlfriend has always wanted to visit Old Orchard Beach because it seems like such a relaxing destination, with a beautiful beach and plenty of great hiking nearby. We'll be staying for one week and we'll have a car, so we're happy to drive around and explore.

I've already done some research and found a few activities, and we're planning to spend some time in Portland as well. However, I'd much rather hear recommendations from people who actually know Maine.

What are the must-do activities or places that every visitor should experience? Are there any hidden gems that tourists usually miss?

I'd also love some food recommendations. What are the classic Maine dishes that we absolutely have to try ? And since it's my first time in the U.S., I'd also love to try some iconic American fast food chains or restaurants that you think are worth experiencing.

We're open to any suggestions scenic drives, beaches, hikes, small towns, local restaurants, breweries, viewpoints, or anything else you think makes Maine special.

Thanks in advance! I'm really looking forward to discovering your state.

Is this me or Jeff was secretly Nerf in season 9 ?

So yes, he was obviously nerfed since he can't use DP and Venom spell together, but let's focus on the Venom Spell. I noticed that its range of activation was greatly nerfed, so you have to be very close to allies for everyone to receive healing from the spell, which is very risky sometimes.

Even though it provides less healing output, the DP spell is better for many reasons:

- Jeff can benefit from healing with the team-up.

- Wider range.

-Less CD

How to deal against full poke 2 tank or even 3 heal defensive comp ?

In this situation, I prefer running the Deadpool Team-Up. Apart from creating pressure, trapping Tank or Trapping Healer and kill through dive which is pretty risky don’t feel like the Dino Team-Up provides enough value compared to Deadpool here in full poke

My question is: how do you properly play against a full poke comp?

If I stay with my tanks and try to burn their frontline, my shots usually get blocked by shields, and even when I deal damage, they recover instantly because of strong enemy healing.

If I try to flank or dive their backline, I either don’t have enough burst to finish anyone because they get healed quickly, or I get punished and deleted as soon as I commit/dive too far.

This is assuming it’s early game and my APEX gauge isn’t ready yet.

How to deal with tank shield as elsa ? ( Mag/Strange..)

When, for example, the enemy team plays full poke with Strange and Magneto, and they both spam their shields in the frontline, and the backline is too far to reach, how do you deal with this kind of situation?

Do you just spam your bullet to destroy their shield ?

Do you play Elsa as Poke Or flank ?

Due to her many nerfs, I don't think Dive Elsa still works. What's your favorite playstyle for Elsa?

When I watch high-elo/pro play, they often play Elsa as a poke/brawl character, aiming at tanks mostly to shred them or punish badly positioned DPS/Healers

Sometime they play long rush but it's mostly to be safe

Also, which teammate is the best: Dino or DP?

Jeff the Land Shark Needs Help: Why the Face of Marvel Rivals is Being Left Behind

The Mascot Paradox There is no denying it: Jeff is the unofficial face of Marvel Rivals. He dominates the game's merch, drives player retention (many people play only for Jeff), has dedicated one-tricks, and any skin or emote released for him sells instantly.

But when we look past his popularity and examine his stats and gameplay, a grim reality appears.

The Stats Don't Lie In Season 8.5 (and historically in S7 and S8), Jeff sits comfortably in the Top 6 most-picked healers. However, he suffers from the 2nd worst win rate in the entire game. The only character doing worse is Deadpool (Healer), who isn’t a main healer.

A History of Endless Nerfs Jeff hasn’t received a legitimate buff since Season 4. Since then, it’s been nothing but nerfs:

  • The S7.5 "Adjustment": They nerfed his damage and slightly sped up his ultimate fail animation. This was essentially a pure nerf. Less damage means less pressure and slower ultimate charge. Furthermore, speeding up the fail animation doesn't help; if you miss your ultimate in high Elo, you are dead anyway.

Fundamental Kit Flaws

The Healing Pool: Currently useless

  • A Suicidal Ultimate: Jeff is the only hero who essentially has to sacrifice himself to provide massive value. As a healer, asking the question, "Should I kill myself to secure this kill and leave my team with only one healer?" is terrible design. Even if you swallow 5 or 4 ennemies the surviving enemy DPS may wipe your remaining teammates because there is only 1 healer in your team.
  • Unfair Ultimate Charge: Why does Jeff have the same ultimate charge cost as Cloak & Dagger or Invisible Woman? Their ultimates are defensive, game-saving, and vastly superior in utility. Jeff's ultimate is highly situational and offensive, yet he pays the same price, he should be less atleast to counter incoming ennemies ultimate
  • Loss of Identity: Jeff used to be a great, oppressive flank healer. ( And even at this time nobody realized the Power of Jeff Prime.)The devs stripped those abilities from him and gave that identity to Luna Snow. Now, he's relegated to being a heal-bot

Team-Up Clunkiness

Jeff have currently 6 basic spell,Jeff essentially loses out on a Team-Up because you are forced to choose between them. (Which is again a Nerf)

  • Deadpool's Team-Up is literally just a lesser version of Venom's.
  • Venom Spell Secret Nerf : Before Season 9, the Venom Team-Up was solid. But they secretly nerfed its range. Now, you have to be practically glued to your ally to activate the heal, putting yourself in constant danger.

Left Behind by Power Creep

Jeff is one of the very few healers who has seen zero new mechanics or meaningful spell changes recently. Look at the rest of the cast: Luna gets self-snowflakes and shields, Adam got his flight, Ultron gets 2nd drones, Mantis got speed buffs, and Rocket got ammo/damage buffs. Jeff has been completely ignored.

Conclusion I know the Marvel Rivals team reads this sub. Please, look at Jeff's state. Decide what you want him to be: either buff his healing so he can be a viable Main Healer, or revert his nerfs and give him back his identity as an Oppressive Dive Healer (like he used to be, or like Luna is now).

What is the best aim in Keyboard Mouse ?

Marvel Rivals is my first hero shooter and also my first PC game, so I'm not really sure how to optimize my aim settings. Do you have any recommendations for settings or configurations that could help?

Here are my current settings and a few questions:

  • I play at 800 DPI with 1.1 in-game sensitivity on hitscan heroes.
  • My mouse is a Logitech G Pro X Superlight.
  • My mousepad is a Razer Gigantus V2 (Medium).

https://preview.redd.it/b31gp0x6y8dh1.png?width=1244&format=png&auto=webp&s=e8694aaaa0acbd1c0682a11580e9d21999db43e0

Should I use different sensitivities depending on the type of hero I play? For example:

  • Hitscan / shooters: lower sensitivity
  • Brawlers / melee heroes: higher sensitivity

Or is it better to stick to the same sensitivity for every hero?

Should I incease my sensitivity?

I think I'd like to learn arm aiming instead of relying mostly on wrist aiming, but I'm not sure I have enough desk space. Since I'm using a Razer Gigantus V2 Medium, is my mousepad large enough for arm aiming, or would I need a larger mousepad?

Thansk in advance for your answer !

How do you play elsa ?

I haven't played Elsa in a long time; the last time was at her release. I want to commit more to this character and improve my aim, instead of playing Brawl, I have some quick question:

- Which team-up is the best?

- How do you play Elsa? Poke/flank/dive, or even long-range or close-quarters battle?

- What is the bread-and-butter combo?

-What is the best sensi and dpi to play her on pc ?

How do you maximize her gauge, especially at the beginning of the fight or when you're losing?
