I'll keep this short.
Friend asked if I could take his 16 year old daughter to see a show.
Daughter wants to see Rocky Horror
We have tix for tonight (7/02)
Friend's ex-wife heard about it and is saying that the show is "inappropriate for an under-age girl".
I personally think the show if fine, I took my 12 year old baby brother to see the version with Penn & Teller in 2001 (2002?).
What is the consensus here?
NOTE: The family is from VA. The father (my friend) is here visiting with his daughter 16, and son 22. Ex-wife is back in VA and I think she is just causing drama.
My local Regal (I'm in NYC) does a great job of theming their claw machine prizes to whatever movie is coming out. They just put in some cool Spider-Man stuff and they also have some Minions. I'm always amazed when I go to a theater and the claw machines have generic prizes. This seems like a no-brainer.
Found this tiny Chucky at five below. His shirt is wrong but it is a cute wee figure.
Myron Waldman Minnie the Moocher Betty Boop with Walrus Apparition Signed Drawing (Fleischer Studio, 1932/c. 1990s). Running away from home with her boyfriend Bimbo, Betty enters a haunted cave where a walrus-like ghost sings "Minnie the Moocher" in the classic Max Fleischer cartoon, celebrated with this original drawing by longtime Fleischer animator Myron Waldman (1908 - 2006). Myron didn't work on Minnie the Moocher but he did animate over 20 Betty Boop cartoons as well as shorts starring Popeye and Superman plus feature films Gulliver's Travels and Mr. Bug Goes to Town. The signed drawing is in graphite with a great full-figure Betty' the drawing is matted with an opening of approximately 11" x 8.5". Myron signed and inscribed the mat to a fan and added a small sketch of Betty's dog Pudgy. The drawing is framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 19.75" x 17". A small '09' sticker has been placed in the lower right corner. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. The art is in Very Good to Fine with light handling wear.
When I first saw this, I was confounded as to how I never knew about this unexpected crossover. Sadly, the title is misleading...
I saw these unreleased Kong heads on ebay and thought they would be of interest to this group.
Apparently these are from the OPEN THE VAULT event a decade ago.
If you look at a receipt from McDonald's you may notice an offer on the top.
You go to their website, fill out a survey, and they give you a code for a free sandwich (or a free pie depending on your coupon).
However, not all restaurants honor this coupon.
Why is this an issue?
By advertising a promotional offer without disclosing a material redemption restriction, McDonald's may be creating a misleading impression for consumers. Such omissions raise concerns under New York's consumer protection statutes, including General Business Law § 349 (Deceptive Acts and Practices), General Business Law § 350 (False Advertising), and General Business Law § 350-a (False Advertising Defined).
It would seem to me that McDonald's has left themselves wide open for a class action lawsuit involving anyone who has gotten a receipt from them.
As you can see from the image, there an no terms and conditions for the coupon other than the 30 day expiration.
Does anyone have a take on this?
Stopped in at A Nightmare in New Hope

to check out the collection.
If you are a fan of horror props and are in the area (New Hope PA) stop in.
You may however find that the true horror is finding parking!

In NY NJ CT is there anything that would prevent a person from carrying a riot shield for self defence? If they had a round shield could they wear it on their back Captain America style?
One lawyer is of the opinion that a shield would count as a burglery tool, but that seems like a stretch.
