Savlya Ghat First Ride of Monsoon

Savlya Ghat First Ride of Monsoon

Hi,

Yesterday early morning, we went to Savlya Ghat (which is on the route to Tamhini Ghat).

Though a Red Alert was issued and we were skeptical about whether we'd be able to reach our destination, it was just drizzling on the way. Because it didn't rain heavily initially, we made it to Savlya Ghat smoothly.

It was my first time riding my scooter in the rain, but it went quite well! It was an awesome and memorable experience with the pleasant views of Tamhini Ghat and the constant rain.

We reached at 7:30 AM. Initially, we decided not to do the trail, but the sound of the waterfall echoing through the fog gave us the motivation to go for it. We did the trail, it was quite easy, not very difficult, and we made it to the viewpoint.

OMG, it was so awesome! Amazing views of the ghats and waterfalls, and we could even see Tamhini Lake from the top.

We took our time to grasp that beautiful view, and then came back and had snacks at a parking stall.

By 12 PM, it started raining heavily. We waited for a bit and then left for home.

On this ride, most of us got completely wet. Our shoes literally became swimming pools for our feet, but it was all totally worth it!

Awesome ride and an amazing time yesterday. 😅

Attached are some of the pictures.

Savlya Ghat Group Ride

Hi All,

Yesterday early morning, we went to Savlya Ghat (which is on the route to Tamhini Ghat).

We started at 5 AM from our respective places and met at Dilkhush Vadapav at 6:30 AM. From there, we started our ride together to Savlya Ghat.

Though a Red Alert was issued and we were skeptical about whether we'd be able to reach our destination, it was just drizzling on the way. Because it didn't rain heavily initially, we made it to Savlya Ghat smoothly.

Found one of the prettiest, greenest spots in Pune to spend evenings

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I went to one of the very pretty places ( ICARO near the Empress garden) I have been to till now in Pune. I know it's subjective, but I love greenery and this place is right in between nature, so many trees, a cool breeze, and a lovely outside sitting area to enjoy all of it.

They have coffee and light snacks like toast, sandwiches, etc. The taste is very good and the ambience is lovely. I had a spanish latte and a mushroom sandwich (it was so good!) and I just sat there relaxing for 2 hours.

The staff is very friendly and the service was good. It's not a very big place, just a small, quite spacious one, and they haven't filled all of it up, which keeps it feeling open and peaceful.

Sharing some pictures of the place from my visit!

Who all is into Art and painting here?

Hi,

So I do painting sometimes, though I'm not great at that.

I usually sketch but I also like free art where I don't have to think much, just pick colors, Canva and a mood to get lost into painting for hours and ofc enough time, with slow music.

Some days ago I painted this which took me 6 to 7 hours to complete it, it's a kind of textured paint on cardboard not on canvas, with watercolor not the oil or acrylic colors.

How is it? Let me know your opinion :)

Don't judge me if you are an artist and great at painting you can give suggestions which I'll definitely appreciate.

Chai Samosa Meetup

Hi All,

Yesterday, I randomly posted about grabbing chai and samosas to enjoy this lovely weather at one of the spots recommended here in Viman Nagar.

Even though it was incredibly short notice, I posted at 6 PM for a 7 PM meetup, the response was awesome! 6 people showed up, making it a total of 7 of us.

One of the guys was someone I’d already met twice before on bike rides, but the other 5 were completely new faces. Everyone is working, and we had a great mix of backgrounds: 3 from MP, 2 from Maharashtra, and 1 from Tamil Nadu.

After having chai and samosas at Ambe Snacks, we headed over to Dhoiti to just sit back and chat for a while.

Attached is a picture of the meetup.

Huge thanks to everyone who came out on such short notice!

Short ride and meetup at Khadakwasla Dam

Hi All 😃

Yesterday I had posted about a short ride to Khadakwasla Dam, it was an impromptu plan as I was free from the office and was thinking of going somewhere.

Well to my surprise I got so many requests for a weekday plan and I got around 8 people joined with me for this short ride.

It went quite well, I started from dhanori and got all the people joined along on the way.

We reached there around 5.50, sat there and had good Convo, fun and chill along with tea and bhaji.

We enjoyed the good sunset view and clicked the good pictures too.

There were 2 girls too who had to cancel the plan at the end for some reason, I'm looking for more girls to join my plans 😁

Here are some pictures attached of the meetup

Ride to Khadakwasla Dam today, to spend good evening?

Hi all,

So I'm thinking to go to Khadakwasla Dam today, to spend sometime there, sit , do some doodling 😅 see sunset and spend good evening.

I haven't gone there till now in the past 8 months since I came to Pune.

It's showing 26km from Dhanori, so will take around 1hr to go and 1hr to come back.

I'm thinking to leave around 4pm so it will be enough time to reach, relax , see sunset and enjoy.

And I can leave from there around 7 to make back to home by 8 or 8.30.

I'll be following this route along with stops https://maps.app.goo.gl/b6UVAD1hpJtedRbV7

Let me know if your location is in between you can mention to me and I'll add it as a stop for you guys to join.

If anyone wanna join let me know, either DM or here in Comments.

First non bike ride meetup 😅

Hi all,

I have been doing meet-ups for bike rides till now.

But today, just a while ago, I posted about being at cafe One O Eight in Koregaon Park, mentioning that if someone was nearby they could come and join me.

Well, I didn't expect anyone to join at such short notice, but to my surprise, someone showed up after his office all the way from Magarpatta, which was great! 😅

We had a small chat and coffee. To my surprise, he has a GT, and he showed interest in joining future bike ride plans. 😅

Reddit keeps surprising me with its possibilities :)

I have been trying to socialize as much as I can, breaking down the walls I had made to restrict people from letting in. But I feel it's better to open the window and let life have its own way of showing unexpected things.

Sunday morning Group Ride to Tamini Ghat

Hi All

Early morning today we had a group bike ride to Mulshi dam via Tamini Ghat route.

We completed the ride with a very good number of people participating.

We started at around 5.30am from Dhanori and reached Mulshi backwaters around 7.30 along with all the people joining in between.

There were two meet-up points:

  1. Deccan College corner

  2. Chandi chowk (Pirangut)

The views were too good, today's chill and supportive weather made the ride amazing.

We came back at 11am.

Sharing some of the pictures from the ride.

Short and Fun ride, Happy Riding :)

Sunrise ride to Mulshi Dam & Tamhini Ghat Expecting Chill Weather

Hi,

Surprisingly, it’s been 8 months since I am here in Pune and I still haven't been to Tamhini Ghat! I'm planning to fix that this weekend.

The plan is to head towards the Mulshi Dam backwaters via the Tamhini Ghat route to relax, catch the early morning sunrise view over the water, and explore a bit of Tamhini to see how it looks just before the heavy monsoons fully hit.

The Plan: Departure: 5:00 AM sharp from Dhanori.

Travel Time: It should take roughly 1.5 to 2 hours to get to the viewpoint.

Route: Dhanori -> Mulshi -> Tamini Ghat

Meetup Points:

We can coordinate meetup spots along the way depending on who is joining from where. The first main assembly point will be near the Deccan College corner

Check out the route here and let me know if you want to tag along: Route Map Link

Drop a comment or DM if you're interested, and let me know your nearest meetup point along this route!

Yesterday's Bike ride to ariver View point

Yayyy 2nd Group ride Done 🥳🫶

Hi all,

As planned yesterday, we went on a group ride to the Mutha River view point.

I was joined by 4 other riders who connected through Reddit and a bike riding group.

The place was beautiful, the views were great, and we spent about an hour just enjoying the peaceful vibe and catching a great view of the sunset 🌇 and evening 🌆.

Ride Details & Route Update:

Distance: ~50 km from my location (about a 2-hour ride each way).

My Ride: Did the whole trip on my Jupiter 110, and it handled the distance perfectly!

Route Taken: Went through Kothrud and Hinjewadi towards Lavasa Road.

Road Condition: The main highway was in good shape, but there is a slightly rough/bad patch due to ongoing road construction, so watch out for that if you're heading out.

If any of you are planning a quick getaway, go right ahead! It’s a fun ride with solid views and a great vibe.

Happy meetups ahead 😁
