I'm growing tired of Erie PA, but don't know where to go.

Erie has some good stuff going for it, but it has enough drawbacks that I'm feeling the need to move on to something better. I've considered Buffalo or Pittsburgh, but the cost of living in those cities is a bit high for my comfort.

Things I like about Erie:

  • Amazing waterfront
  • Ease of navigation by car
  • Low cost of living
  • More amenities than one would expect for a city this size
  • Lower cost of living than places like Pittsburgh or Buffalo
  • Fairly low crime

Things I don't like about Erie:

  • Awful job market
  • Very subpar healthcare
  • Somewhat lacking in edge, somewhat too polite
  • Draconian vehicle inspection laws
  • Subpar public transportation
  • Doom and gloom attitude that I now find myself sucked into

I've recently taken to a radical idea like moving to somewhere like Arizona, but that's more of a kneejerk fantasy at the moment based on only a few things I know about the place. My main concern is seeking better healthcare, but better culture is also a strong motivator here.

IDL how marijuana strains constantly change

I typically use marijuana to manage chronic pain and PTSD, though sometimes recreationally as well. And once in a blue moon, I land on a strain that works great for all three. But then I go to get more only to find that strain is no longer available, so I then have to cycle through a few more strains to find something that hopefully works just decent. Why can't dispensaries offer a static product line? Really grinds my gears.

Cashiers have a duty to acknowledge their customers

No, I don't believe in the boomer take that cashiers need to be smiley and cheerful, that's deranged. But they should at minimum make eye contact and say hello. Doesn't need to be in an upbeat tone, doesn't require a smile. Just some eye contact and a few words. Acting as if the customer isn't even there is creepy and offputting. And I say this as someone who cashiered for 8 years and made it a point to put in at least the bare minimum when customers approached my counter.

Sleep by Wayfair, Kyphosis?

I Have kyphosis and need to sleep on something firm enough to flatten out my spine while sleeping (resting with a flat spine alleviates the pressure put on my nerves throughout the day). I'm liking the idea of the firm 10" mattress, but I'm curious if anyone could offer me any opinions.

Why would my ISP block legitimate websites for seemingly no reason?

I was trying to shop on the Mrs Meyer's website. I tried three different browsers and all has some variation of secure connection failed. I turned off wifi and suddenly I could now access the website. What does my ISP have against laundry detergent?

I'm it just me, or are there almost no jobs recently?

I'm out of work and need a job. There seems to be a much smaller selection of entry level jobs here than there used to be. What's going on?

Armored police rescue vehicle at Wegman's?

About 10 minutes ago a straight up paddy wagon pulled into Wegman's as I was leaving. What's up with that?

BlueDriver, Autel AP200, or something else?

I'm in need of a bluetooth OBDII adapter. Max budget is $100 or so. I'm torn between one of the BlueDriver adapters or the Autel AP200 that's on sale for $59. My main concern at the moment is being able to reliably and accurately view live data for my 2006 Civic. Scanning as many modules as possible would be a huge pro. I'm okay with spending $22/year for Toyota in addition to the lifetime Honda compatibility that I'll be going with immediately. Cars in question are a 2006 Civic and 2009 Corolla, but I'd like to be able to use the adapter on as many cars as possible. I don't need bidirectional control.

Taking out a loan to pay off a collection?

I owe nearly $1500 on a credit card issued by synchrony bank. The account has been closed and placed in collections and is on my credit report. Is there such a thing as a lender that will buy the debt, and then you pay them back in monthly installments? My main priority is to get the collection off of my credit report ASAP, I'm willing to deal with whatever pitfalls a service like that would come with.

Edit: I was initially unclear. I'm looking to have the debt converted into an active account that shows monthly payments are being made, rather than have a derogatory mark on my credit report.

Cheap beater, SKP coils?

It's a beater 06 Civic. I'm not looking to get several years out of new coils, I just need to replace the bad one and the other 3 that will likely go bad soon. With SKP coils, should I expect them to be junk out of the box, or would they likely be good for a little while?
