My uro gyn is incompetent. She only gave me twice a day amox clav for 5 days. Then Macrobid for post sex. Was doing that, told her I’m still having symptoms, she sent in 5 more days of the amox clav about a week later. Still having symptoms. She told me it is IC and to take aloe Vera pills. Well I went to someone else after stopping the Macrobid and lo and behold, some bacteria has grown in culture. She’s sending me amox clav for 7 days. I just don’t know what to do anymore, so I got NAC supplement to take with it. Has anyone else done this to bust the bio film? Thank you.

I’m scared. I’m scared I’m not being heard. I’m scared of incompetent doctors. I’m taking amox clav for a uti that’s lasted like three weeks or so.

Before that I was on Keflex for ten days for another bacteria.

Now it’s e fae. Didn’t go fully away last round of 5 days. Had 4 days without antibiotics begging urogyn to hear me. Eventually she sent more in. Culture should be in today or tomorrow.

I’m tired of the ER. I’m tired of peeing in cups. I’ve had 7 UTIs so far this year. I’m avoiding sex because I’m terrified of more.

Just bought d mannose and cranberry from utiva.

Heard about hiprex and online doctors but I’m on SSI and don’t have lots of money for that kind of thing.

What other natural things can help me with pain? Breaking up bio film? Tess? Herbs?

Please help. I’m almost at my wits end. My joy is facing and I’m no longer myself. I am incredibly anxious and depressed. Is there a light at the end of the tunnel?

I’m honestly at my breaking point with these recurrent UTIs and would really appreciate some input from people who have dealt with something similar.
I was previously treated with Keflex for a UTI. About two weeks later, I was tested again and was positive for another UTI. This time the culture showed Enterococcus faecalis (E. faecalis) instead of the E. coli I had previously had.
I was then given Augmentin/Moxclav 875/125 mg twice a day for 5 days. Two days after finishing that, I started the Macrobid prophylaxis my doctor prescribed: nitrofurantoin 100 mg after sex.
Now I’m confused because I’m having some symptoms again.

Since last night/now, I’ve noticed:
Bladder pressure/persistent bladder sensation
Foul-smelling urine
But NO burning when I pee
NO pain with urination
NO blood in my urine
My urine is not cloudy
I’ve done urine tests twice, yesterday and today, and both were negative:
No leukocytes/leukocyte esterase
No nitrites
No WBCs
No blood
So now I’m wondering: could the Macrobid be causing the urine tests to come back negative even if I actually have an infection? I know I’m taking it as prophylaxis, so I’m wondering if that could interfere with the testing.
Also, can you have foul-smelling urine without actually having a UTI? And can bladder pressure/a persistent bladder sensation happen from bladder irritation after a UTI, even when there isn’t an active infection?
My doctor wasn’t available, so I emailed her asking whether she can order a urine culture because I don’t know what else to do. I’m hesitant to just keep taking antibiotics without knowing whether there’s actually another infection, especially after having E. coli and then E. faecalis so close together.
I’m really struggling mentally with this whole situation. It feels like I keep getting treated, then I’m scared another UTI is starting, and I don’t know whether every symptom means another infection. I’ve been crying over this and it’s honestly taking a huge toll on me.
Has anyone had bladder pressure and foul-smelling urine with negative urine tests, especially while taking Macrobid prophylactically? Did a culture eventually show an infection, or did it turn out to be irritation/another cause?
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has experienced something similar.

My husband and I are pretty goth/alt type of ppl and really like Elvira but can’t figure out what a good mid name for her would be!

Got a new pack of them about a month ago. Expiration date is in Oct 2026. Saw my mom drinking hers. Opened one, smelled fine, drank 3 gulps and heard some crackling noise from the carton. Squeezed it and the liquid seeps out from where the white plastic seal is, right under where you drink from. Was curious and checked to see if all of them were that way and they were. Checked the regular pack I have of coconut water from vita coco and no liquid seeped out. Read about the case about the 69 year old man from Denmark and now having lots of anxiety. Was it just not sealed properly? I have no idea. My tummy is gurgling. That was at 4 pm and it’s now 7:33pm. Thank you
