16×16 tiles from a silly 2D platformer I'm working on rn

So, uh, I started with some basic platforms you can jump on with some variety (first three are approximately the same, just the design is different, the fourth one is longer to spice it up) and the spike traps: the ones on the bottom left just float in the air, the ones on the right are going to move though.

That's the first serious project I'm working on, I kinda like those but I need some feedback

Which one do I play first?

I got these two recently

So, uh, I know that both Worldless and Rusted Moss have satisfying ass movement, but the combat is different: Worldless is turn based, RM is a twin stick shooter.

I don't know anything about the plot or the length, but I like Worldless' art style better from the first glance (despite the fact that I usually prefer pixels), but I like both overall. So, uh, please no spoilers

Would a socialist (or let's say a pre-socialist/near socialist) revolution be possible in a low fantasy medieval setting?

So I have a videogame story idea I would like to expand on one day, but I need some advice.

Revolutionaries are mostly peasant revolters (serfs, free peasantry and small merchants), revolting against their feudal overlords, starting in a barony, then spreading to the county and finally to the whole duchy.

However, they, first of all, are a mixed bunch.

The less radical revolters just want more human and worker rights rights for the peasants and abolish serfdom + make their current rulers abdicate, but aristocracy, albeit weakened, would stay in place.

The more radical ones want to set up a merchant republic in place of the current feudal regime, yet the political and economic system would be more capitalist and "meritocratic". Which yeah, involves the creation of bourgeoisie class and a transition to mercantilist, and then a capitalist economic model.

But our MC (and the leader of the movement) with his close supporters are having some socialist thoughts, and it's up to the player if he does something about them or just ignores them and joins one of the two above mentioned lines of thought. It would be "democratic" on paper but with a huge possibility to devolve into an oligarchy/hereditary dictatorship like most merchant republics did.

So if he doesn't brush them off, my idea is that he would develop some kind of a people's movement manifesto and it would in short involve the peasantry taking most of the political and economic power, including the creation of an elected assembly, the aristocracy would either cease to exist as a social class or be gutted of 95% of their social and economic privileges, and the merchant class doesn't come to exist or transforms into something very different.

So according to Marx, to create a socialist society you must first transition from feudalism to capitalism and only then socialism can be built, but as we know, Lenin was more of a speedrunner, including some other socialist revolutionaries throughout the world (for better/worse).

But could it theoretically be possible? I mean medieval peasants and craftsmen weren't educated, 99% didn't know how to read, so the revolutions or any reform movements were having a really, really hard time to conjure up a cohesive manifesto which will also be a problem here, but if we take that aspect out of the equation, could it be a thing?

Flag of the Republic of Bludvia

Two hours of hard work and this flag is ready 😅

I want to tell you a little about the Republic of Bludvia:

Firstly, it is a Slavic and Christian country, as the cross on the flag may indicate.

Second: this country was created back in May, but is only now gaining momentum

And thirdly, this country has its own language - Bludvian.

Thank you for your attention! 😇

A question about background sizes

I started out my pixel art journey not too long ago, and I am still new to things.

So I'm working on a very short 2D platformer in 16×16 resolution for sprites (well, I'm about 0.25% ready, but that's beside the point). I am working on some tiles at the moment. But I wanted to know what canva size do I use for a background for the first level? It's going to be a simple wall, with some cracks and other teeny signs of decay (the game is going to be set in an old tower).

I never worked on a background before and I am very green with pixel art itself and all. So what canva size do I use?

Thanks for the advice!

Neutral Lens ending theories for Ilias Moris! (I guess)

  1. Status quo. We go on being a host of the Neutral Lens and stuff, since we're doing well (good ending)

  2. Ilias is replaced, but still is on the team in some position, writer/redactor/journalist/something else (neutral-bad ending)

  3. Ilias retires from NL entirely, full stop. We find another job and live a modest life (bad-neutral, depends on other decisions)

  4. Mr. Moris quits the Neutral Lens and starts his own independent show unrelated to Geopolitico (bad-great, depends on a bunch of other things, like if we gathered support from certain people or how we were performing as the host and journalist)

  5. Assassination by Arcasia/UC/Karl/someone else if he is not careful enough/doesn't have powerful backers (bad ending)

  6. Ilias Moris goes political and gets elected to the Kyrutean parliament (neutral, but hopeful, vote Moris for PM '65!)

...And that's it, maybe I missed some other stuff, but it's alright, I'm hyped for the Neutral Lens

"Send him 900-1000 years Castle of Mist and forget" - miracle probably

Very slight Third sin DLC spoilers

I mean they're kinda a different enemy but nonetheless the biggest glow up of Blasphemous 2. The guy went from annoying at best throw away enemy in 1 (Phalaris) to a boss fight that then turned into simply a pretty tough enemy, but nonetheless (Darbon)

Still not enough for the Penitent One, but they have been hitting da gym

I took an extremely vague opinion of the most clinically insane individual in Russia to prove a point from my favourite book about muh heckin awesome libertarian utopia even though they don't even connect!!! That sure proves my point!

If you don't know who Dugin is, he's the personal "philosopher" of Putin. He is a fascist and just a massive POS.

And Ayn Rand, a Russian immigrant to US from the Soviet Union, wrote a mediocre book Atlas Shrugged, which in short is a book about how rich people are actually genius and awesome and evil government, leftists and poor people are evil, and that one should always value oneself over society and the collective. Basically, she wanted a capitalist utopia and shit, and is the mother of the pseudophilosophy of objectivism. Also a POS every radical capitalist glazes.

What if instead of being called Miklosh Horthy this guy was called Miklosh Horny and his alias wasn't "Admiral without a navy" but "Rizzler without huzz"
