Have people become meaner since the Pandemic?

I don't know if its just me but ever since the pandemic, i noticed that people and society at large have become meaner and more vindictive, quick to anger and slow to forgive.

Like on the internet, people used to be a lot more open minded and more welcoming to new users compared to nowadays.

This entire thread is a genocidal shithole

Never mind the fact that "Kept losing wars" is a shit excuse to justify a genocide and blatant land grab.

Along with the whole "we were here first", said in a country stolen from its native inhabitants 250 year ago without a shred of irony.

Though there was one good comment (downvoted) that said "When has the US ever honored any of the treaties made with the Native Americans?"

I feel like the world would be a better place without me in it.

Had I not existed, I feel like my Parents, SO, Brother, and everyone else on the planet would be in an infinitely better place.

Is it normal to feel like not doing anything and just staying at home?

If so, how do i get myself used to leaving the house for mundane things and not just leaving for chores?

Is this the result of burnout? Or is this common with ADHD?

Somedays, i'll leave home, go to a coffee shop or something and just vibe for a couple of hours, other days i just want to stay home in bed all day.

It's baffling to me that I am expected to be perfect and never make even the smallest mistake, while other people can make mistakes and never be judged or punished for it.

Yes I am a dumbass, yes I make mistakes, yes i don't understand social cues. But why should I suffer for it? Why should I get yelled at for it, Why should I be bullied for it?

Why? That's the million dollar question right there! and one if I try to get an answer to, will only get me more shit flung my way.

Ever since I could remember, I hated myself for constantly making mistakes and feeling like a burden to my family and the community.

Add to that this filthy habit that, everytime i slip up and fall back, makes my self-hatred even more intense.

So my question is, does the self-hatred ever go away?

Im looking to find alternative sources of dopamine to replace this habit. Something that can feel fulfilling without fucking up my brain long term.

Found these 4 kittens and their mother on the road and decided to rescue them. I can't take all 4 of them home so if anyone is interested, these kittens are up for adoption in Kai pet clinic.
