THE ITCHING!!

Someone tell me I’m not alone. Are my nerves healing? My eye has been spasming and cheeks itch like crazy. Does this mean I’m getting better?
Please say yes and it isn’t just another weird side effect of the Bells Palsy!

Call in dead

Typically anyone’s first episode or Bells Palsy is TERRIFYING and when I noticed I asked to leave work. Went straight to the ER the next morning and was there all day- boss still texting asking if I’m coming in.
I swear they’d show up to my funeral and ask if I’m still working.

Why don’t people understand this condition better and recognize it as paralysis? They’re actually MAD at me. I was so scared! 😭
Once I got checked out I promptly returned to work the next day. Today? Still mad 🙄

Recognize when someone has a sudden onset condition with no idea what’s happening, is no small thing!

Hey med team, is this Bells Palsy?

For starters, I suffer from being prone to infection. But this is a new one for me. Earlier this month I thought I had a deep sinus infection or muscular pain- as the base of my neck and head felt tons of pressure when quickly moving or coughing. It felt like someone was beating me in the back of the head.
Had a skin infection so got some antibiotics and doc said I may have start of ear infection. Clindomycin cleared up my “headache” and my skin but my dumbass didn’t take the entire prescription.
Ear pain in base now, and a bit into jaw. Facial numbness like novocaine wearing off and I can feel it when I eat or drink having extreme weakness.
I absolutely cannot smile. And my eye is having a hard time closing and is watering nonstop.
Dentist suggests TMJ but I’m extremely doubtful.

Is this an ER visit? Or can I see my regular doc?
Should I take my antibiotics I have?
