Armour

I recently was put on armour from Levo/Lio combo because I still am just not feeling well even though my lab work says that my thyroid is optimal. I’m on supplements for levels that I’m low in, but the levels have been coming up and I just still don’t feel great. My doc and h were hoping armour would help.

I have hashis and have been dealing with trying to lose weight for years with no success no matter what I did! I finally went on a GLP back in February and am able to lose weight. But, I did notice when I switched to armour that my weight loss was a little easier if that makes sense. I think my body was responding well for the most part.

But- I have battled vestibular issues on an offer for years. However, I would say that I was in remission and have not had any dizziness or vertigo for over a year. I started armour a few weeks ago in the past two weeks have dealt with on and off dizziness. The past few days it’s been a little worse. I’m trying to figure out if it’s from the armour which would make me so sad.

Has anyone had anything similar?

Mask Help

Help! I cannot find a mask that works for me.

I have tried the Res Med AirFit n30i

Phillips Dreamwear under the nose, nasal mask

Siesta nasal mask (this lasted about three minutes on my face before feeling extremely claustrophobic, even though it only went over my nose. I just felt like I could not breathe)

I sleep on my side. Anyone have any suggestions?

Dosing

I’ve been on Zepbound for 12 injections total. I was on 2.5 mg for about six weeks before moving up to 5 mg for about five weeks.

I took my 5 mg a day early because I was going away. I had very strong appetite suppression, almost to the point where I didn’t want to eat at all. I also noticed what felt like slower digestion, like food was sitting in my stomach longer than usual, I felt I could feel the food somewhat backing up into my esophagus if that makes sense.

Because of that, I stretched my dosing out to about 8 days and then took a 2.5 mg dose instead of 5, Friday night to kind of reset things.

Now it’s been about 48 hours and I feel like I’m starving. My appetite came back very suddenly and strongly.

I was originally thinking about trying 2.5 mg every 4 days to keep things more steady, but now I’m wondering if I should just go back to 5 mg instead for more consistency. What’s confusing is that I actually lost more weight overall on 2.5 mg, but I didn’t have this kind of rebound hunger until I stretched the dose this week.

Has anyone else experienced big swings in hunger when adjusting timing, stronger GI side effects like slower digestion or reflux, feeling more stable on a higher vs lower dose, or intense hunger after spacing doses out?

My doctor has told me I can be flexible specifically with the 2.5 mg dose and take it about every 3.5 days, 4 days, or 5 days. If I go back to five, I’ll have to wait until Friday, which is going to be so hard. I’m so hungry.

I’m just looking for feedback if anyone has gone through something similar.

Hello,

I’m eating advice for masks. I currently have the Resmed AirFit N30i and Phillips Dreamwear. The Resmed mask I have been having a problem with the white plastic piece on the front of the cushion. It comes off sometimes when I’m sleeping, and then I wake up from the loud noise.

The Phillips frame feels awkward and like it’s going to fall off. I wasn’t able to fall asleep with it on just because it felt like it was going to come off when I was sleeping in the middle of the night. I can’t explain it. I tried to adjust it so many times and I just couldn’t get a comfortable feeling.

I have a slight issue with claustrophobia so I don’t think I could do a full face mask. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I am hoping for patient experience with Armour thyroid.

My prescriber just moved me from levo and lio over to armour. I was on 150 levo and 30 lio. He prescribed me 180 armour.

I’ve been reading online and am slightly confused. I read that you should not use the conversion chart when going from Levo/lio over to Armour. If my prescriber should not have used the chart, how would one start off? I’m sure if I was started off in the lowest dose then I would’ve struggled a bit since I’ve been on levo/lio tor 6 years.

Does anyone have patient experience to share? I’m finding myself a little confused by all of this.

Also- I’m looking for a knowledgeable prescriber in Massachusetts or via telehealth. Any recommendations are welcome!

Hi All- I am not looking for medical advice only patient experience.

I have been on Zepbound for 8 weeks. I have done six on 2.5 and two on 5 mg. Tonight will be my 9th dose.

have zero appetite on 5 mg until day 5. I eat, but it’s very hard and definitely I’m not hitting my macros. I know it takes time but I worry about losing muscle.

I put a message into my doctor and hopefully I’ll hear back from him today. I have extra 2.5 pens and I’m wondering if anyone else has ever done 2.5 every 4-5 days? I am thinking this might help me build up to 5 mg.

I listened to a podcast this week On the Pen and he had Dr Ian Ellis on the podcast. Has anyone looked into his research and his view on how the med stacks in our bodies?

Thanks for the input!
