Klow

I am looking for feedback on KLOW. I have the ability to buy a kit at a great price and am strongly considering. I have looked online and read up on it as much as I can. I’m just looking for feedback or experiences you’ve had. I have Hashimotos and am hoping it might help me.

Thank you!

5 pound weight gain

I am using Apothecary compound. I know many people have had great success with this pharmacy so that is why I decided to go with them.

I have been using the compound version for about two weeks and have gained 5 pounds. I actually went up a little bit indoors. I was taking 5 mg of Zep but take 6.4 of compound.

Has anyone else experienced this? I may just need a higher dose, but wanted to ask around before making that decision.

Apothecary

Anyone else use apothecary through lavender sky? I was on Zepbound since March 1, but my insurance stopped covering so I switched to compound. Took my first dose and definitely don’t feel the suppression I did on brand-name. I don’t know if it takes a little bit longer to kick in.

I wanted to see what others have found with this pharmacy.

Fem ring

Has anyone tried the fem ring? I was recently approved, but I’m a little bit afraid to try it. My doctor told me I won’t need the patch or vaginal estradiol cream anymore because it does both. Both systemic and vaginal. I’m wondering how others have done?

Question

Not looking for medical advice, only patient experience.

Has anyone been on tirz with a low dose of Reta? I was listening to a doctor on a podcast the other day talk about all the amazing things that Reta can do that Zep can’t.

I seen other posts where people comment on how they’re on tirz with a low dose of Reta.

Compound

Hi All-

First off, I’m not looking for medical advice, just patient experience.

I’ve been on Zepbound since March 1. I started on 2.5 for six weeks and then went to 5 mg. I did 5 mg for five weeks but on the fifth week I had two strong of a reaction. I did take the shot one day early because I was going on a trip. I had done that in the past with the 2.5 with no issue. This time, I had total appetite suppression for almost the entire week, and my food felt like it was sitting in my stomach, un digested.

I went back down to 2.5 for two weeks and then my doctor told me I could take 2.5 every 3 1/2 days as a split dose to see how my body handled it. I’ve been handling this really well. However, I’m noticing that my food noise is starting to increase a ton and I am not having the same appetite suppression as I was before.

At the same time, my insurance has stopped paying for Zepbound. It’s no longer part of our formulary. I ended up ordering from telehealth provider and have Apothi compounded tirz. I ordered recently because I wanted to make sure I could get the compounded version without extra additives. I wanted pure tirz.

Currently, I have a few 5 mg pens and 3 more 2.5, but I also have the compounded tirz, so I have the ability to remain on a split dose.

I’m trying to decide if I should split my dose twice a week and go up a little bit. I was thinking 3 mg twice a week or I could go back on my 5 mg once a week and see how I do.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

Insurance drops GLP coverage June 30

Help! My insurance is dropping all GLP-1s from the formulary for all non-diabetics. As of July 1! However, I’ve heard stories of folks getting approvals after their medical providers appeal. Even for non-covered GLPs. Does anyone have any information or success stories with this?

Thank you!

Armour

I recently was put on armour from Levo/Lio combo because I still am just not feeling well even though my lab work says that my thyroid is optimal. I’m on supplements for levels that I’m low in, but the levels have been coming up and I just still don’t feel great. My doc and h were hoping armour would help.

I have hashis and have been dealing with trying to lose weight for years with no success no matter what I did! I finally went on a GLP back in February and am able to lose weight. But, I did notice when I switched to armour that my weight loss was a little easier if that makes sense. I think my body was responding well for the most part.

But- I have battled vestibular issues on an offer for years. However, I would say that I was in remission and have not had any dizziness or vertigo for over a year. I started armour a few weeks ago in the past two weeks have dealt with on and off dizziness. The past few days it’s been a little worse. I’m trying to figure out if it’s from the armour which would make me so sad.

Has anyone had anything similar?

Mask Help

Help! I cannot find a mask that works for me.

I have tried the Res Med AirFit n30i

Phillips Dreamwear under the nose, nasal mask

Siesta nasal mask (this lasted about three minutes on my face before feeling extremely claustrophobic, even though it only went over my nose. I just felt like I could not breathe)

I sleep on my side. Anyone have any suggestions?

Dosing

I’ve been on Zepbound for 12 injections total. I was on 2.5 mg for about six weeks before moving up to 5 mg for about five weeks.

I took my 5 mg a day early because I was going away. I had very strong appetite suppression, almost to the point where I didn’t want to eat at all. I also noticed what felt like slower digestion, like food was sitting in my stomach longer than usual, I felt I could feel the food somewhat backing up into my esophagus if that makes sense.

Because of that, I stretched my dosing out to about 8 days and then took a 2.5 mg dose instead of 5, Friday night to kind of reset things.

Now it’s been about 48 hours and I feel like I’m starving. My appetite came back very suddenly and strongly.

I was originally thinking about trying 2.5 mg every 4 days to keep things more steady, but now I’m wondering if I should just go back to 5 mg instead for more consistency. What’s confusing is that I actually lost more weight overall on 2.5 mg, but I didn’t have this kind of rebound hunger until I stretched the dose this week.

Has anyone else experienced big swings in hunger when adjusting timing, stronger GI side effects like slower digestion or reflux, feeling more stable on a higher vs lower dose, or intense hunger after spacing doses out?

My doctor has told me I can be flexible specifically with the 2.5 mg dose and take it about every 3.5 days, 4 days, or 5 days. If I go back to five, I’ll have to wait until Friday, which is going to be so hard. I’m so hungry.

I’m just looking for feedback if anyone has gone through something similar.
