How packed is the first bus at 7am in August?
I never knew they dropped the 6am shuttle start, and I like that the crowds were thinner then.

That is heartbreaking. The narrows is peaceful and amazing at 6am, and a zoo at 7am. I am genuinely devastated! That first morning shuttle was the best!
Why would they do this?
I had a substantial tax return due to medical expenses expected. I was waiting to see an email from CRA and never got one. I missed a regular mail letter that said I had 30 days to submit supporting documents, otherwise the claim would be removed from my tax return and reassessed without it.
Currently I am 9 days late. This was a huge amount of money that was very important (obviously), can they just drop it like that?
Can I get a lawyer?? I am quite dejected and worried here. Hoping to get some guidance.
I called the special assessment number and left a message for them to get back to me.
Can the CRA just rob me like this, or am I just being paranoid and naive?
Additional info: I have all of the supporting documents fully categorized and ready to go.
I am planning on thinking through my strategy for leaving my partner of 10 years.
They own the house and owned it before I moved in. I am in WInnipeg and earn $105k a year.
I have about $190k in TFSA and $220k in RRSP. This is my total net worth.
I am not a fan of the idea of renting, but I am not a fan of overstretching myself with a house.
Should I buy a condo, should I buy a house, should I rent for a year to just figure it out?
My notion login is an email and password, and the only options I have are third party logins, passkey, and SSO?
WTF, what kind of rugpull is this?
Our 6 pound 4 month old female pug puppy possibly consumed the contents of a 220mg Naproxen. Given the evidence though it seems very unlikely. We found it split when we moved furniture, and how it ruptured seems more consistent with being squished rather than chewed by a puppy.
Regardless, we took her to the vet and they induced vomiting which resulted in a meal coming out. They did charcoal and gave us Sulcrate. At no point during this time till now has she exhibited any odd behaviour and has been her normal crazy puppy self.
24 hours later they did a blood panel and they said it was perfect.
It is very inconvenient based on travel plans to do the recommended 48 hour blood panel the vet said.
At this point how critical is the 48 hour panel. Everything seems perfectly fine and we really don't think it is likely she consumed it. Can we under good conscience skip this second panel?
Blanket type? Noise mitigation? Eye coverings? etc etc?
What do you use that is a life saver. I want strategies, or even specific products. I am sure you all have some great tips!!
This is going to be my first ever train trip. Me and my partner are 40, so we do like a good sleep, but the roomettes are just too rich for my blood.
Do you think I would be setting myself up for a rough experience if I decided to go ahead with this?
The shelf will not only be used for books but also also sorts of hard glass and metal trinkets like vases and picture frames and decorative items.
I am concerned about a few things. Durability (not sure how concerned I should actually be about this given the usage), as well as a level and smooth coat. I figured an alkyd enamel based paint would be good, but then I discovered that they tend to yellow and I am using white.
The bookshelf will be sort of a 'built-in' unit along a white eggshell painted wall, and ideally the shelf will match the wall.
Which constraint should I compromise on? Maybe a less tough paint that will get the color right?
I updated Firefox today on my Windows 10 machine to the latest version. Now it renders in a completely broken state.
I have not flown in 20 years and part of my anxiety around flying (and in general) is about being trapped (literally and obligation wise).
I am hoping to tackle my fear of flying this summer, and for whatever reason I am much less anxious if I just grab my tickets like the day of or day before.
From what I can see on google flights, that would probably guarantee paying roughly double than if a booked a few weeks to months ahead. Is my observation correct? Will it almost always be guaranteed to pay way more many when grabbing last minute?
Did Mesa arch at sunrise last year. It was beautiful, but also packed. I might go back to the area this summer and am curious about other short to medium hikes that will be beautiful for photography just as the sun breaks the horizon.
What is it with RTS games lately? First Stormgate peforms like ass, now Zerospace does as well. Like this game hardly looks any different than an RTS from 15 years ago, but somehow it gets 10% of the framerate? Like what could this game possibly being doing. Like if you paid me to program a game with such bad framerate I don't know if I could do it.
EDIT: The fanboy copium is insane in this thread. This game runs like ass for what it looks like. It looks like a 10 year old RTS and runs like a brand new FPS game.
I have 2012 rav4 with a dipstick. I did a drain and fill or transmissin fluid. If I put the dispstick in one way it reads right at the cool (lower) mark. It I rotate the dipstick 180 degrees and put it in the backside reads cool but the front sde reads like 2 inches past the hot full mark.
I put in about 3.5 liters.
Reflection allows you to build all sorts of powerful and unique tools and I really miss it in dart.
I use C# in my day job and when writing complex tools or frameworks for mocking or building complex test data, reflection is so valuable. In dart I feel like the number one thing holding me back is lack of reflection.
I have been developing a very humble software product (mobile apps and eventually web). It is an app where users create groups of friends that compete against each other by making sports picks every week (mostly just NFL and CFL at this point). The more you get right the more points you get.
This generally known as a "pickems pool", or a sports pool (there are other types of sports pools as well). The market leaders are "RunYourPool" and "Office Pools".
My question is two fold.
What is some process, or theory, or best principles that I could be directed to, to help with this naming process.
Anyone have ideas for actual names or examples that I could follow for this type app?
I had two syringe. The first one must have had the plunger pushed when opening the package and 1 small drop came out. Then when I was pushing the air out of the second syringe the plunger jumped and shot a small stream upwards, but it looked like not too much was lost. Like less than 5% of the vial. Is this going to me ok?
My door faces south and based on the L shape of my house, it gets cooking in summer. Where I live it can get to about 98f in the summer but that is usually the absolute max.
I was told that if I paint the plastic parts black that they could warp. Is this a valid concern.
I have been looking so hard for this. I don't want to implement two different mobile UI (I would never use material if my life depended on it since it is so horribly ugly). But I don't want to ship a android or iOS specific UI on either platform.
I just want a off the shelf widget library that has a complete set of widget that implement a specific stylish platform agnostic style.
I have looked at forui and shadcn and both of them look the exact same, and HORRIBLY boring. Like they literally look like the iOS settings. No color, no style, pizzaz.
I really wish there was some other options tbh!
