Just a simple question..

is it ok to enjoy pressure without guilt? did the controversy end? where can I read/watch info? I don’t wanna feel guilty playing it because oddly enough it’s a good coping mechanism for me.

Help???? Bugs

Fairly important question. I need feeder bugs, I’ve got a growing Rankins dragon. And we’re struggling to find a good place to buy Dubia roaches. The shipping service for Dubia.com is CRAP rn. Can’t find a good place to get them shipped too, and last time we picked them up they were all dead because of the heat. Long story. And the stores around us, pricing would be like $70 a month. Does anyone in Virginia Beach or area code 757 have some adult mature roaches we could buy off you to start a colony? We’re working on introducing greens. But we still need bugs. Anyone willing to sell some breeding bugs???

Just “yawning” or should I be concerned?

im a first time snake owner. I’ve had my girl since march this year. and recently I’ve been super busy, so I had someone else rehydrate the coco chip-chunk things. so the humidity in her enclosure has been really high the past couple days, I’ve managed to get it down to 80, and I’m leaving the rubber mat thing off it to give it more time to dry out. she over all seems fine. though about an hour ago of this post, she had her mouth open for a bit longer than usual. but it looked kinda like she was “yawning” then didn’t close her mouth. please, what do I do? I’m panicking a bit, should I just monitor her? She’s acting normal, having her active times throughout the day, then going back into her little burrows and hides. But it was just this one odd little, what I’m hoping was, odd “yawn”.

Help???

I’m a first time owner. So I’ve got about a year old, ish, corn snake. Female, pretty sure, that’s what we were told. And I noticed maybe a couple days ago that she had like this weird sorta oval ish lump, located around the cloaca. When I gently felt at it, it didnt feel hard, and she had no reaction to it. She only reacts to being touched at her tail beyond cloaca, she hates her tail touched which is fine. Is she just constipated? Is it a tumor? Should I take her to a vet? Is it a tumor? She’s active, and acting normally. Pls. I need help. My anxiety is off the walls. Or am I just dumb and this is normal female (I think) body shape…. Though I would imagine it isn’t. If it’s constipation what do I do (I am researching it after I make this post, just trying to get opinions on whats going on)? These are the best pictures I could get.

Help?

What enclosure sized would you guys recommend? Not sure if I wanna get the massive 2’ x 2’ x 4’. Cause that’s a full on 120 ish gallon. Are there smaller ones anyone would recommend? Cause I’m not doing a minimum. That’s dumb. But is there a size that’s a perfect in between? Like a 90 gallon (don’t know dimensions for that one). What’s a good size?

Help for someone wanting a gecko?

I really want to get a crested gecko soon. And I was just wanting to see how everyone has their enclosures are set up. Can’t decide if I go Bioactive or not. I have made terrarium jars before so it shouldn’t be that difficult. I’ve also got a corn snake, hermit crabs, and a sibling has a mini bearded dragon that I help with, so I know a bit more about what I’m doing. Anyone got some recommendations on lightings they like? (Don’t be mean, I know what kind of lighting I’m looking for, just asking what people like personally.) I plan to hopefully get maybe like a 2’ x 2’ x 4’. Or something a little smaller for now if I get a baby/subadult. Also, if I were to get the size stated above, how would I make it baby safe until it’s full grown? Just extra padding and more clutter?

Breeders/where to buy?

Would this be good?

so I’ve currently got my one year old corn snake in a 40 gallon enclosure. Pretty sure it’s a 36 x 18 x 18. Could be wrong. yes I know she’s gonna out grow It. And I plan to bump her up to a 90 gallon enclosure. And I plan to keep the 40 gallon. And I plan to at minimum turn it into a big terrarium, probably put bugs in it. would a 40 gallon enclosure be good for some dart frogs? Or should I just keep it as a terrarium after I upgrade my corns enclosure? Any opinions? totally fine if there aren’t, just curious. It’s about average hight. Would they need something taller, or would it be good? The pic is of the tank currently.

Any ideas?

But are there any reptiles that could live in it comfortabl, not asking for reptiles where the absolute minimum is 40, I’d want to know if there’s like little geckos that would be good in it or something. Or should I just keep it as a terrarium after I upgrade my corns enclosure? Any opinions? totally fine if there aren’t, just curious.

Water????

long story short, I’ve got a corn snake. but I’ve also got an event I’ll be gone for soon. what do I do about water. I don’t wanna have to make the pet sitter change the water in case she gets a little defensive about that, or if they’re nervous about doing it. Is there like a cat water fountain thing (totally not what I mean but idk what it would be called) that I can just fill it with water and leave it on so it keeps the water fresh?? The trip would be a week and a half to two weeks. What do you guys do? cause I really don’t think leaving water sitting is a good idea without changing it out regularly.

Help???

so, idk if this would be the right thread. but the cosplay thread was no help. and I can’t find a genshin cosplay thread. but is there a good place I can trust to get a Navia cosplay for those of you whom have gotten cosplays through these places? I’d really want to get one for Halloween/cons. But have an event thing right before Halloween so I’d need to get the cosplay before then. So then having to return it isn't too ideal. are the sizings accurate through these places, quality? It’s mu first legit cosplay. Please don’t be rude, I’m just asking for help.

Does anyone have a recommendations?

This very well may be the wrong sub to post this in, idk, but don’t be mean about it if it is. But does anyone know of a good dinosaur game similar to The Isle that is a little more teen appropriate. preferably no chats or voice proximity, or at least ones that you can turn on and off. Cause I don’t really wanna deal with that whole mess, last time I did a voice proximity and chat game. Because I had asked something in game, and people kept calling me the hard r word for not knowing it when I had only just started playing it 😅. And maybe one that doesn’t take forever to grow up ( I think that’s a thing in The Isle, haven’t played it.) and maybe something that teens can play too? Cause I wanna play it with friends, but not feel second hand embarrassment if someone/something were to happen, idk how to describe it

Anybody got Gidgee skinks?

does anyone know good sources to learn how to keep these? I’m interested in possibly getting a couple, not now, most likely in the future. how much space does each skink need? would it be better to get two females? are they actually social, everything says they are, so are they? would they be ok for a more advanced beginner (I think, I’ve got a corn snake, and enjoy researching) is nswfpma.com a good place to take info from?

Any enrichment recommendations?

I had an idea of using hamster tubing, the ones that can come apart and easier to clean. and partially burrowing parts of them so she could have some other tunnels that aren’t going to get collapsed every time I have to clean it out and whatnot. she was rather upset that I removed some paper towel tubes cause she pooped in them 😅. Does anyone else have enrichment stuff they’d recommend cause their snakes like em?

HELP!! WHAT ARE THESE!?!?

HELP!? what are these!! They’re little white dots and I’ve found them in my enclosure. They can climb glass. I’m pretty sure I’ve been able to clean all the poops, but she’s just gone into shed so I don’t want to bother her much and stress her out. ive got a coconut chunk substrate, and since she’s gone into shed I’ve kept it a bit higher humidity to help. I’ve been keeping it at around 80% humidity, when I’ve normally kept it at about 75 for the cooler side. I’m a new snake owner, and I’ve only had her a couple months. there have been a couple drain fly looking things, but I thought it was just cause I had the humidity too high once and I left the enclosure open for a little while to air out a bit. these don’t look like snake mites or whatever they’re called, cause they’re the wrong color. PLEASE HELP, ITS MAKING MY ANXIETY REALLY BAD! Please tell me what to do and what they might be. And I also have carpet in my bedroom, so I’m anxious that whatever these are that they’ll get into the carpet
