Would this be good?

Would this be good?

so I’ve currently got my one year old corn snake in a 40 gallon enclosure. Pretty sure it’s a 36 x 18 x 18. Could be wrong. yes I know she’s gonna out grow It. And I plan to bump her up to a 90 gallon enclosure. And I plan to keep the 40 gallon. And I plan to at minimum turn it into a big terrarium, probably put bugs in it. would a 40 gallon enclosure be good for some dart frogs? Or should I just keep it as a terrarium after I upgrade my corns enclosure? Any opinions? totally fine if there aren’t, just curious. It’s about average hight. Would they need something taller, or would it be good? The pic is of the tank currently.

Any ideas?

But are there any reptiles that could live in it comfortabl, not asking for reptiles where the absolute minimum is 40, I’d want to know if there’s like little geckos that would be good in it or something. Or should I just keep it as a terrarium after I upgrade my corns enclosure? Any opinions? totally fine if there aren’t, just curious.

Water????

long story short, I’ve got a corn snake. but I’ve also got an event I’ll be gone for soon. what do I do about water. I don’t wanna have to make the pet sitter change the water in case she gets a little defensive about that, or if they’re nervous about doing it. Is there like a cat water fountain thing (totally not what I mean but idk what it would be called) that I can just fill it with water and leave it on so it keeps the water fresh?? The trip would be a week and a half to two weeks. What do you guys do? cause I really don’t think leaving water sitting is a good idea without changing it out regularly.

Help???

so, idk if this would be the right thread. but the cosplay thread was no help. and I can’t find a genshin cosplay thread. but is there a good place I can trust to get a Navia cosplay for those of you whom have gotten cosplays through these places? I’d really want to get one for Halloween/cons. But have an event thing right before Halloween so I’d need to get the cosplay before then. So then having to return it isn't too ideal. are the sizings accurate through these places, quality? It’s mu first legit cosplay. Please don’t be rude, I’m just asking for help.

Does anyone have a recommendations?

This very well may be the wrong sub to post this in, idk, but don’t be mean about it if it is. But does anyone know of a good dinosaur game similar to The Isle that is a little more teen appropriate. preferably no chats or voice proximity, or at least ones that you can turn on and off. Cause I don’t really wanna deal with that whole mess, last time I did a voice proximity and chat game. Because I had asked something in game, and people kept calling me the hard r word for not knowing it when I had only just started playing it 😅. And maybe one that doesn’t take forever to grow up ( I think that’s a thing in The Isle, haven’t played it.) and maybe something that teens can play too? Cause I wanna play it with friends, but not feel second hand embarrassment if someone/something were to happen, idk how to describe it

Anybody got Gidgee skinks?

does anyone know good sources to learn how to keep these? I’m interested in possibly getting a couple, not now, most likely in the future. how much space does each skink need? would it be better to get two females? are they actually social, everything says they are, so are they? would they be ok for a more advanced beginner (I think, I’ve got a corn snake, and enjoy researching) is nswfpma.com a good place to take info from?

Any enrichment recommendations?

I had an idea of using hamster tubing, the ones that can come apart and easier to clean. and partially burrowing parts of them so she could have some other tunnels that aren’t going to get collapsed every time I have to clean it out and whatnot. she was rather upset that I removed some paper towel tubes cause she pooped in them 😅. Does anyone else have enrichment stuff they’d recommend cause their snakes like em?

HELP!! WHAT ARE THESE!?!?

HELP!? what are these!! They’re little white dots and I’ve found them in my enclosure. They can climb glass. I’m pretty sure I’ve been able to clean all the poops, but she’s just gone into shed so I don’t want to bother her much and stress her out. ive got a coconut chunk substrate, and since she’s gone into shed I’ve kept it a bit higher humidity to help. I’ve been keeping it at around 80% humidity, when I’ve normally kept it at about 75 for the cooler side. I’m a new snake owner, and I’ve only had her a couple months. there have been a couple drain fly looking things, but I thought it was just cause I had the humidity too high once and I left the enclosure open for a little while to air out a bit. these don’t look like snake mites or whatever they’re called, cause they’re the wrong color. PLEASE HELP, ITS MAKING MY ANXIETY REALLY BAD! Please tell me what to do and what they might be. And I also have carpet in my bedroom, so I’m anxious that whatever these are that they’ll get into the carpet

Help on heating/lighting

So I’m getting a Rankin’s dragon soon for a sibling, yes we’ve done the research for one. And what is the proper heating and lighting for them? Cause I don’t want to mess up on the UVB stuff. Got any specific recommendations on what bulbs I should get? OH! Do they also need the cover on the top if it’s mesh topped???

😅😭😅

HELP! my girl just gave me the biggest scare of my life. she’s just started her shed, so she’s been hiding and I haven’t seen her the past couple days and I’ve left her alone. And like an hour ago, I saw a small drain fly looking fly in her enclosure. and I *PANICKED*. so I immediately removed almost all the interior stuff to try to find my snake. and I found her slightly burrowed under the substrate, but she didn’t move when I lightly nudged her. so I gently started to pick her up, ALMOST CRYING CAUSE I THIUGHT SHE DIED, but no. she decides to move when I’ve almost entirely taken her out of her little burrow in the substrate. so I’m then relieved that she’s alive. and figure out it was a moldy poop that had also caused the stink( yes, I cleaned out the poop, as well as a good handful of the substrate around the poop). I HAD THE BIGGEST PANIC ATTACK FROM THIS! GEEZ! 😭 has anyone else had this ”problem”.

Enrichment?

So my younger sibling is getting a Rankins dragon for her birthday. (yes she’s done her research and knows the commitment.) and what are enrichment things we could get for it? Are there puzzle things like with dogs and cats I could get it? What are some toys your guy‘s dragons like?

Rankin dragons?????

ok, so I’m trying to research rankin dragons and see if I want to get one. but I’m not finding super specific or possibly accurate sources, (some are saying that 40-50 gallons is perfectly fine to keep them in). what’s the legit minimum also ideal size of enclosure for one. and do I give it the same care as I would a bearded dragon? is 120 the ‘minimum‘ or is that the minimum for a small colony? also, are they actually solitary?? Do they need the same care and size of enclosure as a normal bearded dragon??? Or could I have two in a single 120 gallon enclosure. Also, where would I buy a rankin dragon?

YouTubers?

anyone has any recommendations for YouTubers for education on corn snakes, like care, husbandry, etc. So far I watch Wickens Wicked reptiles, and sometimes Snake Discovery, and the Reptile Zoo. are these good reliable channels to watch? I love learning about reptiles. And I wanna make sure I know as much as possible about them, especially corn snakes.

No ai?

does anyone know of photo editing software/apps/etc. that doesn’t use AI? I looked into vsco a little bit, and I think that uses a good bit of ai, right? and so many of the photo editing apps I see use a good amount of ai. I’m against using ai, and if I do some photography and editing, I want it to be *mine*. I’m not a photographer, I’m just a teen wanting some hobbies. and preferably apps without a subscription, cause I’m broke, and no ai.
