Other Sealed Box Options besides Topps products
There's a gargantuan amount of. Licensed Marvel products out there, and all for much less than a current Hobby Box price of Topps Chrome. I'm not saying these are better, I'm just providing information on Marvel Cards *Points at sub group name* feel free to add any that I've missed, like the Finding Unicorn boxes I just remembered!
I couldn't resist making this card
I love the Pikachu dress up cards, and this one would be epic!
Bought one of those Gravity boxes, out of curiosity (and lack of options at Best Buy). Turned out all right, lots of stamps
The /15 auto is the heavy lifter of the group but still not bad for a new set. Though I won't buy another one.
Latest crop of self made cards
These turned out pretty good, that venom is my favorite
Here's another giveaway! Spot the cards that I edited, and their yours (just the edited ones). DM me the errors you spot, good luck!
Who's rocking a serialized card?
These are /2500 but there's others that are /1000, and even /700.
So I've been making cards. It's a lot of fun, not selling them, just for the family and friends to enjoy
I've borrowed from various sources, hence why they can't be sold. Any requests, I'll see what I can do!
There's been a little interest in the Hero Battle series I posted about, here's a bit more about those cards
These are the different boxes available, both on AliExpress ($20-$40) or eBay ($40-$50). They are printed by Kayou and they have awesome foil cards. These are fully licensed by Marvel and can even be graded. The last 3 pictures are also Marvel and printed by Finding Unicorn, and contain numbered cards but cost around a hundred bucks. This is a great way to rip some packs (again!) for next to nothing compared to Topps. There's even some chase cards (MR, CR) that can be quite valuable, but these are mostly just for people who like to fill up binders with cool cards. I just ordered 3 different boxes myself.
At these prices, you can pretty much rip yourself rich!
I've always been a fan of the overseas Marvel sets, even though it's technically a game there's still a big checklist and chase cards in every set, and there's at least 8 that I'm aware of. If you've got little ones that love opening packs with you, or your just miss being able to open 20 packs in a box, maybe give Hero Battle a try. At these prices, it's at least a guaranteed enjoyable experience, even if it won't make you any money, ie "the way collecting used to be". Your call. AliExpress has the best prices but eBay sellers have them as well. I'll post the cards after the rip-a-thon.
Does anybody have these cards to compare to? Considering getting a couple of them as part of a trade for my PSA 10 Stamp box cards
As far as my limited knowledge of Pretend Boss cards, they seem to be correct. But that's what this sub is for, right?
One collector's thoughts on these Topps "character autos"
I've been a card collector since 1994 (shout out to my fellow "returned to the hobby" bros). We didn't have autos to pull until the 2012 Beginnings set, unless you could afford that Black Diamond box back in the same time frame. However the autographs were from the ARTIST that painted the original piece that got scanned into a trading card. Not once, not even as a joke, did UD slip in fake autographs. These Topps autos feel like something you'd get in your grab bag at a children's birthday party, they're a joke. Why do they insist on icing out the artists that made the card image? Also, for some reason I feel like it would be less childish if they were fake signed by Peter Parker, Tony Stark, Etc. Since even with keeping to the comic book canon that all these cards are based on (even the MCU movies are based on books), this is all powered by the writers and artists. Let them get a little recognition for their contributions. I'm neither a writer nor artist, just tired of these wasted opportunities to do something meaningful with the every single card is plastic shit we're opening now. I bought a Fleer Ultra Superman box the other day, damn do I miss Upper Deck at the wheel.
Who else thinks that the 1/1 of any given character should be alternate art?
Just changing the border color isn't enough! The most coveted parallel of every character is the lowest numbered version. But it's just a (usually) gold background. Big whoop. The alt art would be way cooler as an added "Fuq-Yeah!" to pulling such a grail. Am I alone on this campaign?
Tie-Breaker from last contest
u/jitsruto and u/electronic_way9201 I forgot to mention there's a blue and gold Ms. Marvel that's in the lot you two are splitting, so to make it fair I spun a wheel...
Gladion's Final Battle, then another final battle! Too much fighting, G!
Despite the silly title I do have a theory: *️⃣*️⃣ vs⭐⭐ is the reason the 118 (gold stars) is far more valuable than the 108 (white stars) I presume
The astounding way a tiny bit of power turns people into Voldemort, sholy hit.
Had a stagnant item with a MV of about $150 that I had dropped to $100 to get it grabbed up. Pretty standard with cards. Received an offer for $80, and thought, "well it's a gouge but sometimes you can use $80, right? Item gets delivered, I do my standard follow-up saying I got the delivery notification, if anything happened during transport reach out, if not, have a great day and enjoy the (whatever they bought)!
A couple hours later I get 4 messages rapid fire about a scratch on the card. Most of it is describing where it's located, and saying they don't think I was aware of it or I'd have mentioned it. Before I can reply they send another one saying they checked the listing photos and see that the line is definitely visible in the picture, and that they must have assumed it was a hair. I apologize for any disappointment,
and then they say that's why they haven't rated me yet. Because of a scratch on a card they saw before they bought for nearly half off. They say they're going to take the next few days to decide if they want to return it or just leave a negative rating (which at least releases that damn $80).
* I see that they have sold a few things, so I assume they realize what this move is really about: punishing me for a card they got a ridiculous deal on that I shipped in a timely manner and took clear pictures of.
Just warms my heart when these kind of people cross my path. What a great experience they must be to waiters and Uber drivers...See you next Tuesday, ma'am!

Congratulations to u/jitsrotu and u/electronic_way9201 they both correctly spotted the errors I created and will split the stack!
Pretty shady, Ali-X, pretty shady indeed.
So I had a package "delivered" last Thursday, which I apparently signed for. Neither of those things happened. Instead what the delivery person did was take pictures of my package inside their own warehouse. You may have seen my post about it. Here's where it gets very odd. The time stamp for Out to Delivery is at 7:49, and then one minute later it was marked Delivered. My tracking apps (Track 17 and Aftership) confirm this, even the Caincao website confirms this. But NOT the AliExpress app. It only shows the 7:49 Out for Delivery one as the last status. Why would they do that? Because if it's marked Delivered I can open a case of "Um, no it fukin isn't", but if it's in progress, it buys them another 14 days of not helping me get my refund. It's just a Wemby Poster for $25, yet they are protecting their money like Smaug the dragon. Disgusting tactics, but hey, it's just business right?
Which one should I get?
I have to credit u/seriusblacklives for inspiring me to make this satirical post, his " I just pulled this, is it good?" was fantastic
