Fairview Plaza Nears Major Opening Milestone in Vallejo, CA

Fairview Plaza in The City of Vallejo, California, keeps taking shape. The Costco building is complete, and crews are stocking the warehouse ahead of its November grand opening. The fuel station is set for a soft opening at the end of October.

Shops 1 is framed with stucco starting this week, Shops 2 is about 80% framed, and paving around the shops begins next week. Offsite, the new bridge, traffic signals and the widening of Admiral Callaghan Lane are all finished.

Goodbye to my 23' EV

On Friday, a car lost control and came flying perpendicular across i80, hitting the center barrier and hitting my car in the front and making us do a 180. All of the airbags deployed.

My 2 year old son was behind the driver sit in his car seat. He ended up being fine - crying and shaken up/overwhelmed, but not hurt. I came out with some bruises from the seatbelts and airbags and a sore lower back, but otherwise I'm okay.

Also TIL - there's an airbag that pops out underneath the steering wheel near the pedals.

While we are here - we are looking at getting a '24-26 Blazer or maybe the new Bolt. Any thoughts? Need a car that can fit a car seat and have good cargo space.
