Hi everyone 👋
Like many of you, I want to meet more folks in the area that are interested in the same stuff - that's why I've started 707Punk.

I've teamed up with local music collectives to host monthly punk shows in Vallejo, with our first two shows on June 26 and July 3rd

Our first two shows will have a mix of punk, emo, and hardcore punk/metal.

You can find us on Instagram @707punkshows and our website has more upcoming shows. Would love to see some folks from Fairfield and Suisun at the shows!

Note: this is a repost from her Facebook post

As we wrap up the busy month of April, there is a lot to share and look forward to in Vallejo.

The City Council welcomed Interim City Manager Harry Black, who will begin his service on May 16, at our council meeting on Tuesday. Thank you to the community members who turned out to the meeting. I look forward to working with Mr. Black - who brings a wealth of experience and track record of results - to move our City forward.

Our next council meeting will be this coming Tuesday, May 5, at 5pm where we will be reviewing the maritime strategic plan prepared by The Roosevelt Group and holding a budget workshop for the upcoming 2026-27 fiscal year budget - a difficult but important conversation as we work to address the structural deficit. Please join us in person or online if you are able.

Community events this past month included the opening of the RISE Vallejo Center, Easter and Earth Day events, and Día del Niño at Children's Wonderland. We held a public safety community meeting with the Sheriff and VPD at Emmanuel Temple Apostolic Church - where we heard community concerns and highlighted improvements in response time as a result of Vallejo's partnership with the Sheriff's Office. The live stream of that event is available on facebook at https://fb.watch/GQNoPoIkBM/

Finally, I am honored to have been selected by my fellow mayors as a representative on Solano LAFCO - the Local Agency Formation Commission, which oversees the boundaries of cities and special districts within our county. This is the first time that southern Solano has had representation on LAFCO in 25 years, and I look forward to working with colleagues to ensure our county grows responsibly and that there is public trust and participation in the process.
