Hello, this is Boris. He's no stranger here, I post pics of him a lot. He's my first dog and I have a question for you guys, but first some back story because I don't know if it's relevant or not.

I wasn't looking for a dog at the time. A breeder my sister knows ordered him and some others from overseas. He was extremely sick when he arrived and the breeder didn't want him around her other dogs. I was laid off at the time due to covid and decided to let him stay with me. I took him to the vet every two weeks because he never moved and was constantly bleeding out of his butt. We never found out what was wrong with him but after about a year he began to be a normal dog pretty rapidly, but it's like he never learned how to play. He'll chew his bone and will want you to chase him with it but that's it. No other toy, not even a kong with treats and peanut my butter in it can get his attention.

I walk him 1 to 3 times a day depending on weather and such. He likes walks but all he does is sniff. He's only ever had the zoomies once. That being said he is definitely a happy go lucky Velcro dog.

My question is now that he's 5.5yrs, he's even lazier. He doesn't even want to jump in the car anymore. Is this his age showing? Should I ask the vet? Am I the problem?

Do any of you know where I can find this? Preferably in pie form. Thank you for your help

I hear a lot that dogs will put your needs before theirs and love you more than they love themselves but I wonder if that exists in Frenchies. Without a thought Boris would betray me for half a chicken nugget he finds in wet city mulch. He will drop one more sloppy load knowing I ran out of poop bags and napkins. My needs never come before his when it comes to bed space or blankets. And there is absolutely no concern for my delicate heart when he decides to bark in the middle of the night over absolutely nothing.

Do you have any examples of a dog putting your needs before their wants?

Hello I keep getting conflicting information on how and how much to water a pretty new Japanese lilac tree it's about 6 ft tall. Don't judge me on the lack of mulch I haven't decided what I'm going to do yet.
