I plan on playing gtnh. I know this pack takes a lot of time to complete. I heard that the pack regularly gets updates so I wonder rather I should stick to the version I start with or update the world?
When I try to move applications on startup using
``` hl.dsp.exec_cmd("application", { monitor = 2} )``` it works flawlessly with normal apps like kitty and Firefox. When I try the same with electron apps like whatsdesk and vscode they just seem to ignore all rules passed.
So I really love rear center vents. But the e46 doesn't have them. Just a now completely useless ash tray. I thought with some cutting, 3d printing and a hole ton of crazy diy duct work from the front center vents it might be possible to frankenstein together. Thoughts?
Finally got to test out my ин-14 nixie tubes I got 3 years ago. Luckily all 8 are fully working. You'll know what I'm gonna do with them 😏
I just recently read that the e46 even had adaptive curve lights. After looking around for a bit I found a wage listing of things. I then began looking. The control modules are fairly available. Something I couldn't find much is the headlights. Logically they should require an extra set of motors compared to the standard leveling motors but I could only find a few offerings claiming curving lights which appear to have 2 extra bulbs in the headlights compared to normal ones. Are these the cornering lights? I read in the forums that the main headlights would swivel left to right. Does anyone know what's up with that?
What color is used for the cluster illumination? When I'm searching all I get are the mods which make it white or blue or something. I want to buy leds in that exact color. Does anyone know the color name/code/link to leds?
Original bmw oil temp sensor connected to jom oil temp gauge installed in the driver side vent. Power spliced from the lcm wiring.
I want to wire up a gauge near the lcm. Therefore I want to tap into it's wiring to connect the gauge. I need:
- Ignition power 12v (pin 15 green/blue)
- ground (pin 31 brown/black)
- interior lighting power 12v (pin 47 green/red)
Are the wires I plan to tap into correct? Can I add an led back light to pin 47 (because it says signal)?
I want to confirm my wiring before I start cutting wrong wires.
Which pin is ground and which is the sensor wire? Or does it even matter?
I'm looking for the part number of this plug. It's the one for the sensor under manifold with the offset key and 2 pins. I found it in a shop online but they don't have a part number on it and I don't want to order it from overseas on some website when I get next day delivery for cheaper from my dealership. My dealership couldn't find the plug in the parts catalog though. In the parts catalog for the sensor the a 4 pin version of the plug is listed. He said he thinks the catalog is wrong in this regard. Has anyone the plug laying around not sitting under the manifold or knows the part number?
FYI I need the plug for an additional sensor I installed not to replace the one under the manifold. Which is why "I don't have to pull the manifold anyway".

I had a brake squeak on my front left brake. Visually looking the bads seemed low so I went and bought a new set. When changing pads the left piston was easy to compress and was silver while the right one (2nd pic) was rusty and required much more force to push back.
The pads I took out (1st pic) don't look bad in my eye. I haven't driven enough on the new pads to wear them in and evaluate rather the issue is gone for good.
Any thoughts on the pads and or the piston?
I want to route a custom exhaust setup on both sides of the tire well. Therefore the charcoal canister is in the way. I can't delete it because it supposed to stay road legal. As half of the end muffler is moved to this side the space where the big muffler usually sits is free
Not sure if the flare is correct but I am new to making pictures of my car and on social media you always see those amazing views and places that look like they are made to take a car pic.
I was wondering if there is a place where these amazing spots worldwide are collected. The worldwide car community is so big. There should be an app or forum where you can share amazing spots and help others find these spots. Especially when you are on vacation and not your hometown where you know most spots.
I have such terminals that have a screw through the center and plates sandwiching whatever is inserted when tightening the screw. Problem is that I tried using the fork shaped terminals but they were too wide and didn't quite fit. Now I put normal feruls on the wire and sandwiched the ferul with the plates. Problem is that the ferul can't go in very far and I don't think that's right either. What connection end should I use for these terminals?

Die Frage ist jetzt, wenn man keine Lust hat an der Ampel eine Runde zu warten, nur um auf die leere Seitenstraße rechts abzubiegen, ob es eine nicht zulässige Umgehung der Ampel ist, wenn man absteigt, das Fahrrad auf dem Fußweg um die Ecke schiebt und danach wieder aufsteigt und weiterfährt?
I have an bmw e46 320i from 2002. I plan on replacing a couple of parts with gfk/cfk body parts. The goal is to eventually repaint the whole car. In the meantime I want to mount the acquired parts. I don't care to drive around mismatched painted parts in the meantime.
The question is rather I temporarily paint the parts unprofessionally to protect the parts from damage or leave them bare on the car?
I'm trying to mount an ntfs volume.
The volume is made of a hardware raid using a raid controller. The disk is successfully detected with its correct size of 2.7TB as /dev/sda(1).
- The raid controller loads Adaptec Raid bios v5. 2-0 [Build 15753]
- then American megatrends 1.17.1057 loads
- then serial ata ahci bios 01-05-2007 loads.
- old os windows 10
- new os Ubuntu server 26.04
I can mount it using ntfs, ntfs-3g using various configurations. They produce roughly all the same result. That is the mount is successful without issues. I can cd into the drive and run ls -la. The result is that the top level folders are correctly displayed. But with incorrect 4k in size each. When I cd into them and run ls the result is:

Also in dmesg the following is printed:

this message is repeated for a couple of addr values.
What was already tried:
- using different drivers ntfs, ntfs-3g
- using different configurations with user, masks...
- running ntfsfix
- running chkdsk from windows (live install usb)
- the disk is fully functional and files can be browsed in the windows live environment.
Maybe I'm missing a driver? The setup is unsupported? I missed a crucial option or setting required for my setup?
The disk currently cannot be reformatted to a different file system because of the amount of data stored on it. Moving it would require access to the drive and the original windows is too unstable to do the move. Last resort would be to reinstall windows and move the data. The data is not crazy important but should be kept if anyway possible. If I simply get a fully working read from Linux would be enough.

Mounting the terminals for my dual location sub setup. The cable currently running from my Amp (trunk roof) to the left rear footwell will terminate in these terminals and the 2 plugs coming from the Amp can then either be plugged directly into the sub in the trunk or run through the extension and be connected to the sub in the left rear footwell.
A perfect setup combining selectively full trunk space and all seats with a hack ton of over engineering 😂
