Holy grail acquired... pt.2
I finally received my grail fragrance after over a year of searching six days ago. Funnily enough, the day I received it, another went up for auction. Surely after spending $500 on the first bottle I'm not financially irresponsible enough to go for a second?
Anyways, I have twins now. $315. No regerts.
Kendrick Lamar if he was a tick: Carti my weevil twin! 😂
Any good civ equivalents to M855A1?
Are there any 5.56 rounds on the market today that give 20" performance out of a 14.5" like the M855A1 was designed to do?
[WTB] 1st/2nd gen gold Creed bottle cap (Bottle)
I love my <2016 Bois du Portugal, but the black plastic cap kinda cheapens the experience. I'd like to purchase one of the die cast gold caps that were around during the time. I believe these caps came on Millesime Imperial bottles.
Here's an example of what I'm looking for: gold cap
And this is the bottle type: atomizer
If anyone has what I'm looking for, please comment "chat" and shoot me a DM!
How common are DSG slots for 2A3X3?
I'm planning on enlisting at a local ANG unit while I complete my flight training and college classes a few hours away. My goal is the airlines (cadet route) but I'm gunning for a fighter/tanker UPT slot too (after I finish my regional indoc etc. to get my seniority locked in). AFAIK off-the-street airline/airline track pilots are about the least competitive fighter slot applicants so I'm hoping that having a strong relationship with the unit improves my odds a little bit.
Obviously with classes I don't want to overcommit scheduling-wise. How common are 2A3X3 DSG slots? Is it unit dependent? It doesn't seem like a role that's very well suited for weekenders (especially someone who isn't coming from a maintenance background) but it sounds like pilot-adjacent AFSCs are the best option for people who want to eventually apply for a UPT slot. The other role I'm looking at is 1P0X1.
My plan is to complete BMT next summer before I start classes and hopefully go to tech school the summer after. I'm going to run all this by my PPOT mentor first, but I'm planning on reaching out to a recruiter in a couple weeks.
Side question: Does anyone know if flying a personal/training aircraft into your base for drill weekends is allowed/viable/convenient? The unit I'm looking at is about a 2.5hr drive from campus, but it's a 50 minute flight.
Should I fly for the airlines, pursue an active duty career in the air force, or go reserve/national guard?
Hey y'all,
I'm 19, about to begin my third semester of free classes at my local cc, and wrapping up my private pilot's license. I have a pretty good idea of what I want to do with my life, but I'm having some choice paralysis and I'm not sure if my plan is sound or not as it is.
My original (current) plan is to finish my AS in Business Admin, transfer to WMU (since it makes me eligible for basically every airline cadet opportunity available), apply for cadetships (which are important now, apparently the last skywest class was like majority cadet), apply for a delta/united flight ops internship, complete my ratings and bachelors in Aviation Flight Science, and at this point if I'm on a cadet path just finish my hours and complete my CJO requirements. I'd love to fly for the reserve/ng, and my current plan is to apply to units after I begin flying for a regional airline so I can build seniority as I complete OTS, UPT, IFF, FTU, etc. I'd love some insight into work/life balance (especially for fighter units which have stricter currency requirements) because right now I can't imagine how I could raise a family while going down these two career paths. Active duty is almost entirely off the table. I wish it were a viable option for me, it sounds like a great time, but sacrificing 10+ years of airline seniority and career progression is too much for me since that's about 1-3 million dollars of unearned income at the end of an airline career.
Is full time part 135 while pursuing an ACC reserve/ng career viable?

Is there a reliable way to confirm that a Creed hasn't been refilled?
I've purchased Creed fragrances from two different sellers on FragranceSwap. Bottles are good, fill levels look right, but I'm a cautious person. I know you can't refill them from the valve because it's one-way, but I do know they get refilled anyways. What are the signs that a bottle has been refilled?
2011 GIT. Legit? A3211NO1
Box is sealed, not 100% sure if that's from factory but the other top seller who has this is also selling sealed boxes.
[WTB] Creed Himalaya 100ml (bottle)
I'm looking for a full bottle w/ full pres, but I'm open to partials w/ full pres if the price is right.

What's your "masterpiece" summer aquatic fragrance?
I try to be pretty intentional with what goes into my rotation. Dior Homme Parfum 2014, vintage Bois du Portugal, and Haltane are all masterpiece fragrances in my opinion, so those three are my winter lineup. My summer lineup always has a fougère (Green Irish Tweed), a citrus (Colonia Essenza), and an aquatic (AdG Profumo).
I love Profumo a lot, to the point that I can almost justify spending $400 dollars on a backup bottle. However, despite it being a fantastic aquatic fragrance, it just isn't what I'm looking for and I haven't been able to find a great replacement. It's less of a clean skin, salty, oceanic fragrance and more of a blue shower gel office fragrance.
I've tried a few decants since. Pacific Rock Moss was good, but it's sort of a "dark" aquatic, like profumo. Sailing day I wasn't a fan of. Very synthetic, overly sweet, and leans feminine to my nose. Terrible performance too. It wasn't even a skin scent after two hours, it was just gone. Erolfa is my favorite so far, but it didn't strike me as masterpiece-tier like Dior Homme Parfum or Green Irish Tweed did when I first smelled them.
