After watching Severance I had a reveal moment when I realized how corporate culture is sometimes ridiculous and fake. Some of the behaviors in the series reminded me of actual things that happen : not saying everything clearly because some things are confidential, worshipping some idea behind the company, its values, silly rewards like candy or snacks etc.
I feel the need to escape from my work after watching Severance!
Me and my boyfriend we have a 2 years old Maine Coon. I'm not really a cat person but this cat is really kind. He's attentive and delicate when he plays. He doesn't get angry easily and he's very curious but also gets scared very easily and might hide under the bed when scared.
I'd like to get a poodle puppy in the future and I wonder how would they get along. The cat has met other dogs and other cats in the past for a short period of time and everytime he was scared of them. I wonder if he would be less scared of a puppy.
I also wonder if being home alone would be less boring for both of them if they're together?
I see A LOT of posts here asking could I sell my art / how much should I sell it.
But why would people want to spend 1000$ or more on a random painting? Aren't you doing things the other way around?
I think an artist should first be recognizable for their style, have a signature style and be consistent, so we know "oh, that's THIS artist" when we see the work.
I'd be more keen on spending a lot of money on someone that I know has been painting since a while and is still going to, who creates whole collections, who's trying to get into art galleries or who's running his own social media page where I can see the progress and the direction in which the person is going. I think this is even more important in AI era.
There's a lot of nice paintings out there but, yes, there's A LOT, like thousands or hundred thousands of them. What would make me want to buy it from YOU and not someone else? What's your style, what's your story? What does your name / your brand make me think of?
It would be so refreshing to see consistent artists and not Sunday painters who try to sell every little piece they have ever made.

Hello, in September it's gonna be my 6th anniversary of living in Paris and I'd like to do something special but under 100€ per person.
I was thinking about some nice restaurant but I appreciate places that not only have good food but also amazing interior design. I have already been to:
- Le Procope
- Le Train Bleu
- Les Ombres
And all the bouillons. I have also been to a river cruise with dinner.
I'd like to try something with similar vibe when it comes to decor and also with good food but all I find is more than 100€.
I could also consider a less fancy restaurant if it can be completed by a cocktail in a fancy bar or something like that.
Please recommend me something 🙏🏻 and give a short description of vibe and prices
I know poodles are more intelligent than average. I dream of having a poodle and I think I'd teach him so many things, like to know the words for different food types so he can say what he'd like to eat for dinner 😂 or to know names of my friends so I can tell him in advance who we are going to see, or to know words for train, plane, car as I'd like to travel with him.
Has anyone tried something like that? Teaching your dogs unusual words? How did it go?
When I was a child our poodle knew many words even though we were not teaching him. He knew my grandma's friends names and he was excited when someone he appreciated was about to arrive.
I'm asking myself if I'm really hypochondriac as I have real symptoms that really exist and are physically visible to others. But my friend told me - you have the symptoms and they are real, but what makes you hypochondriac is that you think immediately that every symptom is cancer.
It's just that I'm afraid that if I don't get every little thing that appears on my body tested, it will be too late after.
So with this conviction, can therapy help me?
For reference, lately I had a suspicious beauty mark that appeared on my feet, a weird bump in my palate, and suspicious throat pain that doesn't want to go away since one month (the doctor confirms my throat is red). I got tested most of those things, some are that doctors don't know what they are and they are trying to test some medication to see if it goes away. It all happened during the last month.
There are some months when I don't go to the doctor but there are months where I go 3-4 times to different doctors to consult different symptoms. With my beauty mark I went to 3 different doctors because I couldn't trust them (they were confused and clearly not sure).
Am I hypochondriac or just cautious?
I'm also really stressed everytime I discover a new symptom and it happens to me to cry from fear of cancer until I feel asleep because it makes me exhausted.
Should I get a therapy or not? Has anyone experienced something similar?
Hi, I'm 28 years old female, never have smoked, I drink alcohol maximum 1-2 times a week or sometimes less.
I have noticed it 3 days ago - when eating a hard candy I pressed the candy with my tongue to the palate and I felt that I had a bump there.
This bump doesn't hurt and it's not noticeable when not touched, but when I press it, it hurts like a bruise.
It's hard (the same hardness as the rest of the palate).
I have a dentist appointment on Monday to have it checked but I'm starting to get worried.
I probably have HPV but I don't know which type - I have never been tested, just had a suspicious PAP smear result but colposcopy said I didn't have any abnormal cells so it has never been tested further.
I wear a night retainer that touches this zone - and I have had the retainer for around 15 years now.
I have some recurrent throat problems but the doctor checked my throat with a small camera and there was nothing abnormal. It was 3 months ago and the bump was probably not there then.
My wisdom teeth have never been removed, they have grown horizontally inside my gums, never caused any pain. No other teeth have been removed.
Please give me some advice because I tend to stress a lot about this kind of things!

J'ai une offre d'emploi dans une entreprise où j'étais alternante avant. Ils me proposent 33k brut pour 39h par semaine. J'ai un bac+3 en économie de la construction et on est en IDF très proche de Paris.
Ce salarie me semble correct pour 35h mais faible pour 39h. Je l'ai déjà négocié (de base ils m'ont dit 28-30k).
Le problème c'est aussi que dans la boîte ils imposent 1h30 de pause. Je suis étrangère et je n'ai pas du tout l' habitude des pauses si longues. Dans mon pays c'est 15 minutes. Ça m'embête de rester au bureau pendant si longtemps juste pour avoir 1h30 de pause alors que je mange en 20 minutes max.
Je serai au bureau de 8h30 à 18h. J'ai l'impression que j'aurai plus du tout de temps pour ma vie. En alternance j'avais un contrat de 35h donc de 9h à 17h ce qui me convenait très bien. Aux alentours il n'y a pas de parc ou de salle de sport pour bien utiliser tout ce temps. Tout est au moins à 20 minutes à pied et j'ai pas de voiture.
Aussi tous mes collègues font des heures supplémentaires non payées donc c'est devenu l'habitude de l'entreprise qu'ils ne les paient pas et ils ne les laissent pas récupérer. J'ai un peu peur de leur réaction quand je vais demander d'être payée si je dois rester plus longtemps.
Ils proposent 1 jour de télétravail par semaine mais la plupart des gens ne le prennent pas soit parce qu'ils aiment pas, soit parce qu'ils ont des réunions sur place, mais aussi parce que c'est un peu mal vu dans la boîte.
Tout ça fait que j'ai un peu peur de signer un CDI avec eux. Est-ce que j'exagère ou ils abusent un peu ?

I'm also afraid of working hard and not getting any attention. Algorithms now are brutal. I see here so many great artists who have real talent and I feel like they don't get enough recognition. How do you handle it?

Hello! I'm 28 years old and my test results said I have LSIL. I made a colposcopy because of it and it's been 3 weeks I'm waiting for my results. I feel a bit confused:
- I have never been vaccinated because when I was younger it was not a common vaccine in my country, yet my gynecologist didn't tell me to get the vaccine now. I have read that in my current country (France) the vaccine is only refunded until you're 26. It's quite expensive so I can't really get it now and I don't know if I should.
- I have LSIL but I wasn't tested for HPV and I don't know which type I have. I feel like my gynecologist should have prescribed this test but she didn't. Why? Should I do it?
- What about my partner? I had a lot of partners when I was young but I'm in a stable relationship now. We use condoms. But my gynecologist didn't say anything about my partner, could I infect him or could we infect each other back and forth and what should we do to prevent it. Should he be tested for HPV as well? Is there any risk for him?
- I stress when waiting for the biopsy results, I have stopped thinking about it since, but I thought I'd get them today so it all came back to me and I'm stressed now.

I managed to put Madonna in one photo with me, and Lady Gaga into a selfie with other friends, but when I wanted to generate a photo of my friend with Taylor, chat GPT says that it violates the policy and he can't generate it. I just took a random photo of my friend and a random photo of Taylor (I tried with two different ones) and it doesn't work.
My prompt was: "Can you put the two women together on one photo, keep their faces as original and keep the background from the first photo"
Is it forbidden to generate these kinds of photos for personal use?

J'ai changé la destination de mon appartement sur le site des impôts parce que je ne suis plus propriétaire occupant mais j'ai déménagé et je l'ai mis en location.
Le problème c'est que pendant cette démarche il n'y avait pas de question s'il s'agit du bail meublé ou pas et quel régime fiscal je souhaite choisir.
J'aimerais choisir le régime qui fait que je ne paie pas d'impôt vu que je n'ai aucun bénéfice (mon crédit est plus cher que le loyer).

As you can see, the legs and the head of my clay dog are no longer united with the body - they cracked while drying. It still holds together though because I put wooden sticks inside while making it.
Is it making the whole thing structurally weaker ?
