Saint of Steel by T. Kingfisher?

Have there been any updates regarding book 5 of the Saints of Steel series? I know there’s 7 books planned, but I haven’t been able to find any sort of updates regarding the next one! 😭

How harmful is paying a late fee once?

I get paid again the day after the last day of my grace period. It says a $33 late fee will be assessed after 9/3, and I get paid on 9/4. I have no issue paying the late fee, however I am worried that it could damage my account and/or credit. Has anyone had to pay a late fee on their car loan through Carmax?

When does Depop add the shipping flair to your profile?

I’ve sold 8 items so far, and I have shipped every single one out within 24 hours, so I was curious when Depop typically adds the “ships in 2/3/4 days” flair to a sellers profile

Is there any way to mask the Prolux foundation smell?

I LOVE the foundation itself but the smell is so overpowering to me that I can hardly wear it anymore. I smell it the entire time I have it on and it never goes away or “lessens”. I don’t know if I’m just especially sensitive to it or what, but has anyone found a way to mask the smell?

Cat puking food and bile

This morning my cat (5 years old, female, spayed, vaccinated, etc) puked up her undigested dry food in small piles, about 5-6 times. 5ish hours later I gave her another small serving of dry food and about 15 minutes after that she puked up yellow, liquidy, slightly foamy bile.

She’s puked up her dry food before but usually I think it’s just from eating too quickly, and after she does it, she’s fine. I’m mainly worried that she puked bile up so quickly after eating. Should I take her to the vet? She’s acting normally; playing, cuddling, etc.

Are they putting a roundabout here?

Drove onto May from NW Expressway today and I didn’t realize they’ve completely torn up the roads, made the on ramp a one way, and look to be building something at this intersection? I couldn’t really see what they were doing clearly but it looked pretty major lol

Danessa Myricks yummy skin concealer over blurring balm?

Does anyone use multiple DM products in their routine? I recently added the blurring balm powder and the setting spray and I love them both, now I’m interested in trying the yummy skin concealer and the yummy skin blurring balm blush. I’m sure they all work well together considering they’re all the same brand and formula, but has anyone tried these all in the same routine?

Tips and advice on how to mitigate upcoming trigger?

I have really bad contamination OCD and one of the worst spirals/themes I’ve ever dealt with was a fear of bedbugs. For about 6 months straight I was obsessively checking every square inch of my bedroom—and eventually my whole apartment—multiple times a day, even after pest control companies said there were no signs of them. It was by far the worst my mental health has ever been, and after two years of therapy, medication, and ERP, I am in a MUCH better place.

However, I have a trip coming up, and I’m feeling very nervous about my ability to not fall back into my old compulsions and check my hotel room and my luggage every single day, multiple times a day, while we’re there (and even once I get home tbh). I’ll be in New York for a week, and the hotel we are staying at has majority positive reviews, however, there are a few one off mentions of bed bugs spread over the last 7-9 years. After doing some research I learned that wasn’t uncommon for New York hotels and the more recent reviews are what really matters, however, finding this out has already triggered those old feelings of terror and paranoia.

Basically, I’m wondering if anyone has any advice on how to mitigate the upcoming trigger of staying in a hotel room and not panicking the entire trip and wanting to check the room and my luggage every day. Of course, I plan on doing a cursory check of the room once we arrive, but I’m worried that won’t be enough for my OCD 😭 I’m trying to look at this as the ultimate ERP exercise but I would love to hear if anyone else has had similar situations/tips to offer!

What would be a good fixing spray to use alongside Danessa Myricks blurring setting spray?

I’m very new to using setting/fixing sprays and have recently tried the Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Liquid Blurring Balm Mattifying setting spray. I absolutely ADORE it and love how it makes my makeup look, however, I want a final fixing spray to lock the look in.

It’s to my understanding that setting sprays just melts everything together and fixing sprays are what actually keeps the makeup in place and locked in. However, since the Danessa spray is so blurring, I’m worried about using just any fixing spray on top of it and messing up that blurred effect. Does anyone have any recs for a good spray to use alongside the Danessa setting spray?

Are a few one off claims of bed bugs something to be worried about?

I have an upcoming trip to New York, however, I’m wondering about the hotel we have booked for our stay. It has 2 old reviews (like 7-9 years old) that mention bed bugs, and then seemingly nothing, and then three reviews from 2025 where someone mentions seeing a “tick” on their bed, someone had inexplicable dried blood on their pillowcase, and then another person in November 2025 mentions getting bit by bed bugs. How likely is it that those are actual bed bug issues, and would it be worth finding a new place to stay? None of the most recent reviews mention anything about it, but I’m super paranoid about this kind of thing lol.

Anyone have cyclosporiasis?

Did you have to get tested and/or report it if so? I saw that Oklahoma now has 56 confirmed cases, but I’m wondering how many there actually are.

Brigitte Knightley is perfect

I just finished the Dearly Beloathed series ({The Irresistible Urge to Fall for Your Enemy by Brigitte Knightley} and {The Exquisite Torment of Loving Your Enemy by Brigitte Knightley}) and I am BLOWN away.

This was peak everything: peak slow burn, peak enemies to lovers (and actually understandable and justifiable enemies: their hatred of one another made sense, and it didn’t feel contrived, and it caused actual problems in them getting together), peak world building, peak character development, peak dialogue—everything was PERFECT and I’m really heartbroken that I’ve finished the duology and have nothing left of hers to read.

She reminded me a lot of A.K. Caggiano, who I love, but I found Brigitte’s writing to be a lot less dragging and info-dumpy. You really get invested in even the smallest characters and you care about the world, the characters motives, the outcome of decisions, etc etc. >!I got ridiculously sad when Osric said he never saw his cricket again!<

I genuinely can’t recommend this duology enough and I’m going to be seeking this high forever! It was perfect!!!! Their happy ending was so hard fought for and so well deserved.

This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me by Ilona Andrews - weird dialogue?

I’m a fan of Ilona Andrews and have read everything in their catalogue to date. I recently picked up their newest book, This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me, and I’m only about 30% of the way in, but so far I’ve been struggling to enjoy it as much as their previous books.

The dialogue reads very weird and stilted to me. I’m not sure exactly how to describe it, but the way all of the characters will say things like “I will ____”, “I am ____,” “It is _____”, and then in the next paragraph use “I’ll”, “I’m”, “It’s”, etc etc is really throwing me off. Just writing it out like this doesn’t make it seem that weird or noticeable but I swear in the book it sticks out so strongly to me and makes the dialogue seem super clunky.

Am I the only one bothered by this? Is this a complete nonissue and I’m just crazy and nitpicking? I swear this is the first time I’ve ever had this issue with Ilona Andrews and the way they write dialogue, but it’s driving me up the wall in this book.

Need advice on conversation about dry spell and porn 25F 25M

My (25f) boyfriend (25m) and I have been together for about 4 years and living together for 1. We haven’t had sex in nearly 10 months which is definitely our longest dry spell. Our relationship is fantastic otherwise, and we are still physically affectionate with one another, we cuddle, hug, kiss, tell each other I love you daily, but we just don’t have sex. We are both pretty lowkey when it comes to sex in general: at our most consistent we were having sex twice a week and it was perfect for us both. We’ve had discussions regarding our libido and sex when we first started dating and I always thought we were pretty evenly matched in that regard.

This morning, I accidentally came across porn on my boyfriend’s phone. It was truly accidental. He always sets extra alarms on his phone in the morning for me because I am a notoriously heavy sleeper and bad about snoozing all of my alarms. They don’t wake him up, and he has told me it’s totally fine for me to turn his alarms off once I get up. So this morning I unlocked his phone to turn the alarms off, and as soon as it unlocked his phone opened onto Twitter where a porn video was pulled up.

The app automatically refreshed 2 seconds later and it went back to his Twitter TL. However, out of a second of morbid curiosity, I hit his Twitter search bar just to see, and his last searched account had been a porn account. I closed his phone after that and didn’t snoop anymore but for some reason it made my heart and stomach completely drop. I always thought that I don’t care about watching porn in a relationship. I myself have done it and I never thought that it would bother me if he does because that would obviously be hypocritical lol. But I think seeing that video and knowing we haven’t had sex in so long is making me feel really bad and uncomfortable for reasons I can’t exactly define.

I plan on talking to him as soon as we both get home from work this evening, but I’m unsure of what exactly to say. I don’t know if I should mention the porn I saw on his phone or not, or just focus on our lack of sex and discuss that. I’ve been wanting to talk about this dry spell for a while but I was always able to brush it off (which I shouldn’t have) until now. Does anyone have any advice or similar experiences to share?

TLDR: In longest dry spell of relationship, saw porn on boyfriend’s phone, feeling uncomfortable about it and unsure how to approach the needed conversation.

Oil change shop put a VO40 filter on?

I took my car to a local oil change shop this morning and on my printed receipt it says they used the VO40 oil filter. I’d never heard of that one before so I looked it up out of curiosity and apparently it does not work with Toyota Corollas? I just wanted to check here and see if anyone could verify/if I should take it back to the shop. I drive a 2024 Toyota Corolla LE

Late on a payment and now says I owe double — do I have to pay both?

My car payment was due about 3 days ago, and I just paid it. However, on my financing portal, it says the amount due is now double my car payment. The breakdown says that my payment past due is one half of my car payment, and my next payment due in June is the other half, but whenever I went to make a payment it seemed like they expected me to pay the full amount.

If all I paid off was the amount past due (so my entire May car payment), will I be fine to not pay the other half until the due date in June? Or are they expecting both payments at once since I was late?

Financing and Defaulting Question

On my contract, it says that I have 10 days to make my monthly payment before a late fee is added, and in the default and repossession section, it says I default on my loan if I fail to make any of the payments. So does that mean that I have up to 10 days after my due date to make my payment and after that it will be considered defaulting? Or is it considered defaulting if I don’t make my payment on the due date regardless?
