Attack of the Dead Men Dump ( attempt 2)
Last time i posted, it got deleted because it was a "low effort post " so I'm trying again but this time, with content upto late 1916 which is refurbished a little and actually complete
Lore :
1915 : The Battle of Osewic or the battle of the "dead men" saw several Russian soldiers whom were attacked by a specific combination of Helium, Chlorine and Mustard gas and seemingly died. Moreover, they also stopped breathing for a while. But, when the German soldiers wearing gas masks pushed forward to the Tsarist side of the trenches, the Russians had seemed to rise from the dead, seemingly unaffected by the gas. This lead to a German retreat from Osewic itself. From the 8000 Germans who attacked, only 3000 returned to the home front. The chaos and unusual nature of the Eastern Front lead to the entirity of Osewic and nearby to be taken over by the Dead Men, unbeknownst to Tsarist Russia. Elsewhere, Russian scientists discovered the same formula Germany used in Osewic and then deployed it themselves in a successful Prussian offensive. This led to the entirity of Danzig being trapped and slowly being consumed by the ever increasing Dead Men
As Chlorine gas continued in its use across the second half of 1915, so did the apearrance of Dead Men. The first engagement with normal soldiers and Dead Men occured in the Battle of Sedan, where German soldiers confused rising Dead Men as their own and tried to regroup, only to be killed and later bombarded with German artillery. The first normal contact made was at the "Galician Strip" where Austro Hungarian troops met up with Dead Men after severely levelling the Russian Front with their Gas formulae. Initially, the Dead Men agreed to return to the ranks of their previous Army as they retained their personality, memory and everything combined. But for reasons remaining indisclosed, fighting soon broke out and more and more Dead Men appeared across several gassed fronts
1916 : As more and more Dead Men arrived across Europe, great changes took place. Following disruptions in the Balkan Front, Serbia liberated much of occupied lands and caused several pro yugoslav rebels in the new established Kingdom of Illyria which would later be fruitful in the short term. Romania after being ensured of a potential downfall of the Habsburg, joined the fray, supported several Translvanians and Czech Rebels in an effort to speed up the collapse.
Realising the potential danger of the Dead Men, the Kaiser ordered a spearhead attack to Paris in an effort to force a quick armistice, successfully capturing the outskirts of the City and encircling it. However, this Paris offensive was very mismanaged and dependent on gas attacks which led to a double encirclement.
