We really need descriptions of what the different weapon marks do.

It's really damn annoying that there isn't anything in-game that actually tells you what the difference is between weapon marks aside from one really broad description and a few number changes.

Young people in the West are turning on democracy because democracy hasn't tangibly improved anything in their entire lives.

It's becoming a more and more prevalent talking point that younger people have little to no faith in democracy anymore, and it's something boomers just can't seem to wrap their mind around because they can't put themselves in the younger people's shoes.

From the perspective of a 20-something-year-old, all they see when they look at politics is a bloated bureaucratic mess that holds little more than the illusion of choice.

Even in Europe, the political world has stagnated. It's all the same neoliberal shitlibs getting elected by crusty old boomers over and over and over again, eroding our social welfare and investment in public infrastructure more and more every single year.

Consumer rights are getting worse, labour rights are getting worse, everything is unaffordable, third world migrants keep pouring in despite almost every single Western country having huge swaths of the population who are vehemently opposed to it, and no one is doing anything meaningful about it. Just keeping the status quo going to keep the boomers comfortable.

Look at what recently happened with the Stop Killing Games movement.

There was a huge push behind the movement, trying to appeal to the European Commission that the current legislation allows game companies to pull the plug on their games any time they want and make them completely unplayable, not only destroying a product the consumer paid for, but also destroying art, because these games become permanently unplayable unless it is reverse-engineered through community effort.

A petition was signed with millions of signatures, and the representative of the movement spoke at the commission.

But guess what happened?

The games industry lobby had a meeting with the Commission behind closed doors, without anyone from the Stop Killing Games initiative present, and the matter was dismissed. Just like that. All that effort and the immense popular support just gets dismissed, and there's almost nothing we can do about it.

How the fuck do you expect young people to put up with this? There are no real enforcement mechanisms in place to force politicians to uphold their promises, and referendums mean nothing when they can just get dismissed on a whim.

It takes a colossal effort on the part of the public to even get the mere attention of a governing body like the European Commission. There's mountains of bureaucracy and red tape to wade through to dissuade the public from bringing about any kind of change, and yet the governing body has practically zero responsibility to heed the will of the public.

The system has brought us almost no meaningful improvement whatsoever in the last two decades. It's been slowly eroding everything that made the West great while throwing us the occasional crumbs to keep us complacent.

How is anyone surprised that people are getting desperate and looking for alternatives?

Europe can't fix the climate. It needs to stop wasting time with token "eco-friendly" nonsense that only causes inconvenience and start working to minimise the inevitable changes.

The climate is going to change badly. It's already doing so. And Europe can't do anything about it.

The overwhelming amount of pollution is being done by countries that Europe has absolutely zero control over. But instead of doing the sensible thing and preparing for the worst, these obnoxious green parties just continue with their self-flagellating "eco-friendly" policies that cause nothing but discomfort and inconvenience for everyday people who hold no blame for what's happening to the climate.

Stop it with the papers straw bullshit and starts subsidising airconditioning and building nuclear power plants.

I swear, most of these "green" parties only care about the aesthetic of being good for the environment and don't give two shits about doing anything that's actually helpful. Otherwise they'd be strongly pro-nuclear and advocate for moving our industry back from China.

Anyone else think most of the implants are a tad too gimmicky?

I love implants that grant new abilities, like the hook hand [Abelard has been making great use of that one], while some of them like the poison arm and the lube leg are just kinda... eh?

When I heard we were getting an implant system, I kinda figured we'd be getting a lot of basic stuff as well, like legs that give full knockdown resistance, or arms that increase strength and reduce recoil, stuff like that on top of the more gimmicky ones.

I kinda wish there were more moments throughout the game where Theodora's ghost judges your actions.

I'd find it terribly amusing if you could to some degree confront her about all the absolute chicanery she's been pulling, with either reprimand or praise, and she would likewise respond to your methods, acting as a kind of reluctant advisor to her heir.

I am absolutely sick and tired of the degree to which public transit gets vandalised.

I frankly don't care how it's done. I just want something done about these fucking animals who vandalise every inch of public transit. It's disgusting. I'm tired of being surrounded by these tribalistic morons who spray their god-awful tags everywhere because they think it makes them look tough.

Anyone got a nice list of the more gas mask-like Death Guard helmets?

I really like the WW1-looking gear that some Death Guard units have, but I can't really find them very easily. Does anyone have a list or collage of them?

I hate that my brain is only good at useless things.

Why can't I just be good at mathematics, or something? My brain is a sponge exclusively for absolutely worthless information while I'm effectively a geriatric dementia patient for everyday things.

I'll forget appointments unless I remind myself a million times, I'll forget to bring things with me if it isn't something I carry every day, I mess up the times for appointments constantly, I forget everything else when I'm doing something I enjoy.

I rationally understand that it's not how it works, but I have this gnawing feeling that I'm owed some kind of useful skill in exchange for all the constant difficulties with banal everyday things.

It's pissing me the hell off, and I feel like a useless idiot child whenever I fuck up some normal-ass thing.

The constant demonization of law enforcement is childish and pathetic

I'm beyond pissed off with how much people just constantly demonise law enforcement in all forms, regardless of country.

This moronic "All Cops Are Bastards" brainrot is blown way the fuck out of proportion in the U.S., and it's just straight-up not applicable to the law enforcement of most Western European countries, yet people here still pretend like police officers are executing people randomly on the streets in broad daylight.

This hatred for law enforcement betrays either a profound degree of privilege or complete lack of accountability for criminal behaviour.

You've got sheltered adult children decrying law enforcement as some kind of excessively forceful cruelty because they never dealt with any kind of illegal activity or danger that would have them rely on the police to resolve, and criminals and their relatives blaming law enforcement for the consequences of their actions instead of taking responsibility for their own ratchet behaviour.

The fact I even have to say this is fucking ridiculous, but of course one can object to use of excessive force by the police. Any sensible person should. However, that is ***not*** what I'm talking about here.

I'm talking about these idiotic saps who've got absolutely no idea what kind of ridiculous and dangerous bullshit police officers have to deal with on a daily basis. Just look at some bodycam videos and you'll see exactly what I mean.

Every single day they put up with people who behave more like animals than humans. They do something stupid, dangerous, and illegal, act aggressive, refuse to comply with orders, resist arrest, and then some. And 95% of the time, the officer deals with it with a downright excessive amount of patience and restraint that none of us could ever muster if we were in a remotely similar situation.

Yet the moment there's an instance where things do escalate in some way, and the officer reacts in a way that is deemed "excessive" after the fact, then all these bleeding hearts come out of the woodwork to defend this poor misunderstood "victim" from the "cruel and monstrous" police officer.

This is usually based on a conveniently cut clip that cuts out literally everything that led up to the escalation, where the person being apprehended more often than not is doing literally everything in their power to make the escalation happen.

I'm immensely glad that bodycams have been standardised, because it has pretty much categorically destroyed the countless bogus police brutality lawsuits that used to clog up the legal system 24/7.

However, the general public couldn't give a single flying fuck about what actually happened. All they care about are the initial impressions of the conveniently framed clip that does the rounds online. Everyone bases their judgements on that, and couldn't care less if it turns out the officer was completely in the right. Everything to defend the narrative that all law enforcement is bad so that they can feel good about themselves.

Until something happens to them, and they immediately rush to call the police.

It's just so fucking pathetic how these people have infinite compassion for violent criminals because they themselves have never been victimised by people like them, so they espouse all of these ridiculous views that would completely destroy society if put in place, but they never suffer the consequences of these policies, so they stay in their little sealed-off bubble where there's never any reason for an officer to use any kind of force.

Anyone else feel like traveling is an exhausting waste of time?

I don't understand why so many people are OBSESSED with travelling and going on vacation somewhere every spare second they have.

I find it ridiculously exhausting, and not worth the effort ***AT ALL*** unless there's something there that's there exclusively and I really want to see.

What I especially don't understand is people who go on camping trips. Especially to really unremarkable locations. If you just want to sit around and do nothing, why do it somewhere that's simply less comfortable? I can't wrap my head around it.
